@themightyant To be honest, I think you could be right and also that would be the best thing to do if you are looking to up grade. Either way considering people try to bash this gen I think the numbers speak for themselves.
@11001100110zero Well with the gabecube maybe costing $900 + I'm sure MS will look at that when it comes to releasing their PC Hybrid and with the price spike for RAM, it will be an interesting release that's for sure.
@Max_the_German I actually like the random assortment of trailers at the game awards, yeah 80% of the games shown aren't for me, but you never know right?
I suppose the leaker forgot that project pay back was meant to be D3, which got shut down anyway. Bungie really should have just gone with a D3 over Marathon (which none of the core player base even wanted).
@Rich33 "This poll is a couple of years too early - Sony typically release their best towards the end of each gen" You are correct, and I think 2026 is the start of the very best. Probably could have been much longer time frame, but the live service push got in the way for a bit (but even some of those were pretty good too!)
The Chinese Room getting thrown under the bus, of course they should share some of the blame but not all of it. Let's face it, the project was cursed from the start and should of been cancelled.
@11001100110zero Maybe it's naive of me, but I just can't see (famous last words) Sony selling the PS6 any more then 650, either way I don't envy them as this is going to be their most important console launch.
Edit: Oh interesting I never knew that, so they basically got bullied out? You are right though, not sure why they bothered, butr then again hind sight is 20/20
@TrollOfWar The Blu-ray side of things paid off big time, I forgot what MS version was called "HD" or something like that. I understand the Blu-ray player did add lot to the console price.
@Shepherd_Tallon I think were just arrogent because of the sheer success the PS2 had and I thought they could "get away" charging those prices, I just hope they don't follow that trend with the PS6, that's all I'm saying nothing deeper then that.
My only fear is what will be the price of a PS6 be, £550? 600? £700? Sony need to be smart on this and not be completely tone deft like what they did with the PS3.
I think I have done like 5 -6 play throughs of the game. mostly to get the new versions of outfits for each DLC, but yeah the game is extremely fun and is well polished (one of the best Pro enhanced games). Safe to say I will be there day 1 for Stellar Blade 2!
Edit: Lowkey think Sony should be adding Shift up to the family
What are my dreams for Witcher 4 you ask?
1) Do not be like Cyberpunk at launch
2) Gwent NEEDS to be there
3) Improve the combat (by like a lot)
4) Do not even acknowledge the TV show in any way
5) Have Witcher contracts that could affect how people intereact with you
6) Wind must be howling
7) Have a house you can upgrade (think the vineyard from B&W)
8) Explain how Ciri became a Witcher/passed the trail of grasses (I'm sure they will anyway)
9) Less Skellige more Velen/Novigrad type areas
10) Make the spells/oils more usual (expect Quen for obvs reasons)
It does depend completely on the game, the one major flaw with shadow drops no one knows if the game being a buggy mess or not. I get that it's "more hype" but hype cannot defend games being released in a poor condition. I will say Total Choas (which was shadowed dropped during the Xbox event) has been a perfectly fine shadow drop.
Edit: The problem you are facing now Todd, people have gotten burned from oblivion remaster so don't expect "people losing their minds" the next time...
@Vermines You are mostly likely correct, which I'm totoally fine with, unlike last year when Luke Roberts (James Sunderland) and Briana White (Aerith) got robbed...
@BearsEatBeets I really hate the leak culture era we are currently in. There are just no surprises anymore, that's what made E3 so special (cringe included)
@Striker21 Why you making things up? no one and I mean no one here has said Stellar Blade 2 will be a PS exclusive or even hiding the fact it will be multiplat. Look we get it, you are a Xbox fan (looking at your profile page) and just come over here to ruffle feathers with blocks and blocks of text and thinking you are "owning" people. just give it a rest please.
Shift Up looking for writers does mak me relieved, as much as I love the game, the story was definately the weakest part, even the actual lore of the world is really good!
And this right here is why Sony were trying to push the live service model. some of you may not like those types of games, but the younger generation has spoken, and this is what they like. Obviously their approch was way too heavy handed, which has cost some studios too lose years of work/resources, but even from this report, you can see why they went after the golden goose.
I really liked the original Prince of Persia, so I hope the remake has captured the vibes when running around the palace. The only thing I think needs improving on would be combat.

Re: Looks Like PS5 Is Going to Clean Up This Black Friday
We all know the catalyst that will push the most people from the PS4 will be the release of GTA6.
Re: Talking Point: Does PS5 Have a Sequel Problem?
I like games, it doesn't bother me if they are a sequel to another game.
Re: Final Fantasy X Was the 'Ultimate Perfection' of the Series, Says Dragon Quest Creator
@themightyant And if we are going with overall OST's then FF13 takes top spot.
Re: Final Fantasy X Was the 'Ultimate Perfection' of the Series, Says Dragon Quest Creator
@themightyant Having 8 above 10 is wild
Edit: but if we are going with intros then FF8 is best (the sword fight is god tier)
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for December 2025 Announced
@Max_the_German You should be glad it's not in VR, trust me....
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for December 2025 Announced
Outlast Trails is really underrated, give it try people if you don't get scared easily
Re: Lies of P Dev 'Will Not Disappoint' with Upcoming Games, Says Director
Imagine a game director saying "Yeah our next game is going to suck, so don't bother with it"
Re: Beyond Good & Evil 2 PS5 May Not Be Dead Just Yet
I actually had this on preorder back when the first trailer dropped, does that mean it's still valid.....
Edit: I do wonder just how much this project has cost Ubisoft so far?

The real Mass Effect
Re: Destiny 3 Allegedly in 'Extremely Early Development', Could Be a Tentpole Title for PS6
@TrollOfWar " I wonder what happened that Destiny 3 is an early development stage" I would imagine this was down to Sony and taking over productions.

Re: Poll: Five Years of PS5 - How Would You Rate Sony's Console?
Awesome console with a 8.5/10 game catalog, I voted for 2028 for the PS6 but I'm looking forward to seeing what it has to offer.
Re: 'Not Enough Time, Not Enough Money': The Dismal Vampire Bloodlines 2 Was Doomed from the Start
@Jammer Yes Still Wakes the Deep is bloody fantastic, Chinese Room just need to stick to what they are good at, which are walking sims.

@Jacko11 The PS3 was not reasonably priced, I think 9/10 of people would agree with that.
Edit: I never said any of those prices I listed were bad/good, for the record I think it will be priced between 550 - 650.

@themightyant Honestly, the people who animated the eyes did a god tier job.
Re: Expedition 33's Charlie Cox Credits Lesser-Known Actor for Game Awards Nomination
@Dalamar I actually want to do a play through with the French vocies! Still waiting on this patch to come out before I replay it.
Re: Expedition 33's Charlie Cox Credits Lesser-Known Actor for Game Awards Nomination
Loved his performance would still say Ben Starr was still the pick of the cast, but for the awards my vote still goes to Konatsu Kato 🦊
Edit: I do really like the fact he gave a shout out to Mo cap artists, who definately don't get nearly enough credit for what they do.

Shift Up looking for writers does mak me relieved, as much as I love the game, the story was definately the weakest part, even the actual lore of the world is really good!
