You Can Get Phantom Blade Zero's PS5 Platinum Trophy on Its Easiest Difficulty 1

If you've been wondering about the Trophies for upcoming action game Phantom Blade Zero, it's been revealed it won't be as tough to complete as you may have thought.

The PS5 console-exclusive will of course have a full set of trinkets to unlock, including the all-important platinum, and director Qiwei Liang (aka Soulframe) says you can obtain all of them on a single playthrough at any difficulty.

This means you can earn the platinum on Wayfarer, Phantom Blade Zero's easiest setting.

This info comes via a post on Bilibili, in which Soulframe talks about the game's level of challenge, noting that the game's most intense difficulty level, Sixty-Six Days Mode, is not a prerequisite for getting all the Trophies.

Sixty-Six Days Mode is unlocked after beating the game once on one of the other difficulties. It actually matches the Hellwalker setting, but adds on top the threat of permadeath; if you die 66 times, your game is over and you must restart from the very beginning.

It's a great optional challenge mode for those who want it, but it isn't a necessity if you're after the Trophies.

"All achievements in Phantom Blade Zero can be obtained in the first three difficulty levels," Soulframe says. "Even if you play entirely as a 'Wayfarer,' you can still unlock all achievements within a single playthrough. Therefore, Phantom Blade Zero is a game where, regardless of whether you have the skills or experience to play this type of game, as long as you immerse yourself in exploring this world, you can obtain the Platinum Trophy in one playthrough."

Pretty generous. I'm not much a fan of Trophies being tethered to difficulty levels, so this is great news to me.

But what do you think? Will you be going for Phantom Blade Zero's platinum? Tell us in the comments section below.
