@LowDefAl I much as I liked SGF last night, they mostly showed games without release dates, and the crowd they pander towards are happy with that (which is fine)

@LowDefAl I think also they have changed their approach and only first party games that ready for release in 6 - 8 month window.

@Boucho11 You're not being stupid at all. Basically D2 launched with the red war campaign then had two expansions come out the following year then finally released arguably their best DLC ever Forsaken. Roll on the following year and in the build up to Beyond light Bungie said "they need to make space in order for BL to launch" and just like that every I listed above was completely and you have no way of accessing it, even though they were all paid expansions.... pretty scummy hey?

Edit: Just for added context, this included, full blown campaign, locations, and weapons that dropped from said locations

@SMJ I mean Fromsoft games boil down to R1 spam with the occasional O to dodge and yet those games are goated, so I don't see a problem with the combat personally.

@Rich33 It looked like a RE engine game to me, which speaks for itself as I'm sure you would agree. It does have nice display options and also has a 120HZ mode which is a big plus for me.

@Kienda exactly, it's the fact they sun set all the content THAT WE PAID FOR is truly unforgivable, even after amazing expansions like Witch Queen and Final shape, still won't bring that content back...

It's definitely up there, I've already played 3 bangers this year, RE9, Pragmata and Saros, but we will still have a lot of amazing games to come.... still sticking with RE9 as my GOTY (hoping the DLC cements this statement)

@Northern_munkey Bungie's motto has to be "one step foward 10 steps backwards" It's mostly down to the dedicated Destiny players got shafted because they focused more on making Marathon (no knock to the game) over making a D3, hence why the Twitch chat were spamming "we want D3"

@Northern_munkey Brother I have 10K hours in D2 and I can tell you that the complaining (rightfully so) started when they brought in sun setting, that will always be Bungie's biggest stain their reputation

@Pat_trick Again I only said "it's doing just fine" I know this gen isn't everyone's cup of tea which is totally but when they down play it or it's the worst, which just isn't true, I also feel like every console is somewhat carried by previous one, wherther that PS4 to 5 or N64 to gamecube 360 to Xbox 1.

@Boxmonkey I don't buy that as the sole reason the PS5 has sold so well, yes it clearly help but as the "only" reason? Nah

The fact PS5 is nearly sold 100M units, has kinda proved that is gen has been doing just fine, yes the SP output has been quesionable and yes we all know the reason why that is.. but when it's all said and done the PS5 gen has truly been extremely enjoyable with so many amazing games coming both first and third party. All I hope for PS6 is that Sony understand the assignment and deliver all the bells and whistles (and games).
