Bloomwalker, a Studio Ghibli-looking adventure from South Korean developer Netmarble, was announced for Xbox and PC last year — and now we've got confirmation that it's also coming to PS5.
The game's a mix of exploration and crafting, as you clean away a kind of corruption from its open world. You'll also enlist the help of magical allies as you progress, and you can customise your abode, which just so happens to be a cosy wee house with legs.
Okay, so why have I stuck Ni no Kuni in the headline? Well, according to the title's new trailer, Bloomwalker is now officially part of the Ni no Kuni universe, with Level-5 partnering on the project.

The move should give Bloomwalker a little more recognition, as Ni no Kuni's been missing in action for years at this point.
It's unclear just how much of an influence Level-5 has over the game's continued development, but higgledies — the funny little creatures that assist the player in previous Ni no Kuni titles — make an appearance in the above trailer.
Bloomwalker still doesn't have a release window, but its reappearance does suggest that things are going relatively smoothly.

Best news I've heard in quite a while. Ni no Kuni is peak gaming for me and anything related to it is good enough for me.
At first I thought it was a new ni no kuni game.haha I enjoy both ni no kuni games. Word up son
Studio Ghibli is S-tier anime so I’m happy to get anything even tangentially related, but all things being equal I’d rather this have stayed Xbox exclusive and those idiots at the helm of the SS Sony not have given away Kojima.
Looks delightful. Really enjoyed the first Ni No Kuni so more of that kinda vibe is very welcome.
Ni no Kuni = god tier
Ni no Kuni 2 = wasn't it chief
Glad to see more games from the Ni No Kuni devs, even if they're only partnering on the title.
The art, music and vibe I immediately knew was Ni No Kuni so i was surprised to see it was a game called Bloomwalker, but then I also saw the Level 5 and Ni No Kuni logos. Happy days.
Would love a proper new Ni No Kuni game. I keep going back to Wrath of the White Witch. Phenomenal game.
If it's anything like ni no kuni 2, I'll give it a go. If it ain't, then I might not be interested.
Switch 2 if physical.
Really hoping this is more akin to White Witch rather than 2. Good news, it's a lovely world that needs more love.
@tameshiyaku Same, looks better than Ni No Kuni 2
Ni No Kuni (WotWW) is one of the few titles that genuinely compete with Pokemon in an interesting way. I'd have loved for them to stuck to the 'creature taming/ raising' part and just fine-tuned combat. It was a bit tricky, with resource management being as important as time management as important as positioning.... all a bit much.
@somnambulance nnk2 was weak unfortunately. I wished they'd have stronger ongoing collaboration with Ghibli.
@tameshiyaku I agree. I’d love for a Ni No Kuni game that felt more proper Ghibli. Imagine a game that tackled the style of The Boy and the Heron or Princess Kaguya rather than sticking with Howl’s Moving Castle and Kiki’s Delivery Service energy.
@Deadlyblack Not really, they're all in on AI. With the other dev, they at least might hire some people.
This looks very pretty, but I can’t really tell what the actual gameplay entails, other than sweeping?
