@AdamNovice That's a crazy take about Capcom, your telling me RE9 and Pragmata look the same? as some who has played both of them, I couldn't see any reused assets. I would also say they have the second best engine only beaten by the Decima.

Edit: thinking more on it, surely a game that uses so many inspirations shouldn't get as much praise as games that were the trail blazers and change their genres forever, like FF7, RE4, Ocarina of Time, GTA3 , you see where I coming from?

@kcarnes9051 @pharos_haven FFX was just the first game that comes to mind for the combat. You definitely could add LoD, Persona, Lost Odyssey to that list. Funny thing about the break meter but FF13 is what I think of when it comes to that mechanic.

@For-Kier I usually don't let internet people effect my judgement, perfect examples being the Yotei "boycott" and claiming KCD2 to be woke 🙄 but the run up to the game awards was literally unbearable.

@IamJT I get that people were angry and upset that Joel died but that's just how it goes in that world, also could you imagine Joel dying to some random infected instead on this? I can't

@tangyzesty I think KCD2 not winning RPG of the year may be one the biggest robberies of TGA.

@Logonogo Right? like during the release month people were playing it and giving it's well deserved flowers... then came the game awards nominations and it all changed after that.

@DennisReynolds Now see, that's something I can get behind "best this gen" but to throw it up there with some best video games ever made, I just don't know. obvs the OST can be put up there cuz I mean duh....

Look it's a great game, brilliant music, great voice etc etc... but I'm sorry to say the game has gotten so over glazed, people are saying it's the greatest game ever made.... bruh it's FFX's combat with an added parry, by the way I still gave it a 10/10 score when I finished it a week after it came out and said "yeah that's GOTY easy" but the glaze fandom really has soured this game a lot for me...

@LifeGirl And as a child seeing your father get killed you understand where Abby is coming from. and at the start of part Joel let down his guard down, by following Abby back to lodge and the rest is history now. By the way I'm team Ellie but I do understand what Naughty Dog were trying to do... albeit a little too heavy handed

@Boxmonkey While I really like Joel as a character (truly up there as one of the best MCs) he made mistake* and he paid the price for it, such is life right? Ellie I thought was angry and confused for most of the game oh and let's not forget the Tommy gas lit her into finding Abby for the second time...

*ok maybe not a mistake but a choice and he had to live with that consequence, I think if anyone was in Abby's shoes in that world they would do the same thing

I can imagine this game being a buggy mess at launch, so if we have to wait 6 - 12 months for a more polished experience then so be it.

Hardcore RE fan here, gotta say they are channeling RE6 real hard with this one, the prime example being the ultra fat zombie, also got to say it looked more like a 28 years spin off then RE.

I actually loved playing Plague Requiem when it came to extra, thought the story was brillaint and the voice acting was top notch, gameplay was kinda meh though. Never been a massive fan of prequels because you kinda know where things head towards, but even so I'm looking forward to this.

@IOI Yes I agree they should have at least addressed this when the news first broke but that has been Sony's major problem this gen, as in a lack of communication...

@IOI no they don't, they literally all say "wait for an statement" and after the latest update, that theory does make a whole let of sense if we are being honest. Also you calling me angry is a bit rich as your comments do tend to go off the deep end more often then not (you deleted one earlier when you banging on about Xbox or something...)
