Re: Japanese Ghost of Yotei PS5 Sales Are Just About Hanging On

Nyne11Tyme

@Blaze215 60 million dollar budget. 3.3 million x $70.00 per unit....its already a financial success. Even if that budget doesnt include marketing. And just one platform...no PC, no Xbox, no Nintendo. It is a phenomenal success. FF16 budget, to my understanding, was never disclosed. It was probably bloated to triple or quadruple what the Ghost team spent. The difference is great devs that are efficient vs. Decent devs that aren't.

Re: Talking Point: The Game Awards 2025 Nominations Announced: Who Are Your Winners?

Nyne11Tyme

Damn I sure hope there is some more variety compared to how everyone voted. E33 is an amazing game but damn. A lot of games will get the shaft in categories they did very well in. Id for sure give it soundtrack and potentially best performance. But GoTY is a lot of phenomenal games, minus Silksong imo. And Indie just seems disingenuous to me. I know the definition is blurred but I feel like budget has to be considered. Im gonna get torched for that but I stand by it lol

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 605

Nyne11Tyme

The Outer Worlds 2 is just amazing. It looks amazing, feels amazing to play, has all the charm/wit/sarcasm youd expect and it looks like the choices you make really matter. But about 4 hours in yesterday and the hooks are firmly in. But I'm leaving for Pittsburgh in like 30 minutes. Big game tomorrow lol.

Re: Talking Point: If Xbox Drops the Cost, Would You Be Happy Still Paying for PS6 Multiplayer?

Nyne11Tyme

@truerbluer it costs a lot of money and man power to deal with your own online ecosystem. I mean even the article reminds us what can happen if its free....that was one of the largest security breaches EVER. Id imagine aside from the obvious "money" Sony shudders at the thought of another breach like that. They are probably OVERcompensating in that department which costs even more. I know, record profits and all that.

Re: Talking Point: If Xbox Drops the Cost, Would You Be Happy Still Paying for PS6 Multiplayer?

Nyne11Tyme

@Balaam_ I'm really hoping that Sony is working hard to unlock the PS3 Library through emulation for PS6. I personally think that would be a big W. If anyone can do it that wizard Mark Cerny is the one. Its clearly a huge problem, requires some genuis level attention and would just be amazing if accomplished. Being able to play MGS4, FolkLore, Resistance Trilogy, Killzone 2 and 3, the Motor Storm games, the InFamous titles.

Re: Talking Point: If Xbox Drops the Cost, Would You Be Happy Still Paying for PS6 Multiplayer?

Nyne11Tyme

It all reality the next Xbox is probably going to sport 2 models. My guess is $999.99 for the "S" and from what I've read if they want to be competitive with modern hardware- $1499.99 for the X. if Sony can come in at $599.99-$649.99 for the 6 and $499.99 or less for the portable device its an easy W for Sony and paying for Plus seems fine under a scenario like that. Just my opinion of course.

Re: Generative AI Won't Be Creating the Next GTA, Says Take-Two Boss

Nyne11Tyme

The biggest concern, imo, is not content created by AI (I'm not for it btw). I'm more worried about the person who is... let's say...a data analyst applying for a loan to buy a home or car and the bank declining said loan because there is enough risk management data from the insurance companies that say within X years they will be made redundant and won't be able to pay the loan. We have to be getting close to that point and its not good

Re: Halo's Worst Level Will Be Much Improved on PS5

Nyne11Tyme

I kind of loved its love craftian corridor slog. It felt oppressive. It was supposed to. It was a sigh of relief when I beat it. I feel like that was the point. It looked endless and samey but with purpose. Floods are the same way. Relentless and brutal. That level didnt care and tested your attrition lol. Im probably in the minority there but it was a widely talked about level amongst me and my boys. It was a badge of honor getting through it. Especially on higher difficulty.

Re: This Is Why Xbox Is Bringing All of Its Games to PS5 Now

Nyne11Tyme

@ThorsHammer lol right. Xbox just was never in the game. Even their best offering was bested by the ps3 (which was an amazing kit for the price regardless of people saying it was tok expensive) and only came close to sales due to RRoD and the numerous duplicate purchases. I know i had 3 Xbox 360s lol. Luckily when the 3rd one RRoD I was the able to ship for free for a fix. Imagine your best generation being one where you knowingly sold a console with a 50% fail rate lol. I just kinda hope Xbox limping out of the hardware game gives some company the balls to be the 3rd wheel. Imagine a Dreamcast 2 lol.

Re: PS5 Surpasses Lifetime PS3 Sales in the US

Nyne11Tyme

Not sure if this is a hot take but the PS3 was the best kit of the 5 imo. Especially the OG Fat. Full PS3 and full PS2 AND the best blu-ray player maybe of all time lol. People complained about 599.99 when it had a ps2 (still msrp 150-200) and an amazing blu-ray player (msrp 800-1,000) when it released. I believe the leap in tech was just too much to comprehend and the pricetag was 200 more than any console release of note prior. Well minus the 3DO which was i believe priced around 800...I was day one. It released literally on my 21st birthday in the states. 12 pack, Blu-ray and Resistance...great day.

Re: PS6 May Go Uncontested as Rumours of Next-Gen Xbox Cancellation Spiral

Nyne11Tyme

Sorry to all the developers that had faith in the brand as a whole. Honestly though, bye bye. Sony has arguably been the MOST consumer friendly for quite some time. A 2TB series X is $800, GPU is $30 a month. Nintendo jacked up the price on a 9 year old turd and is trying to make $80 games the norm that dont deserve it. If MKW is worth $80 then the $70 for Ghosts of Yotei is a damn steal. Yes they increased hardware like everyone else. But Plus is afforable because of their approach. The console is the defacto benchmark for developers, the controller is the coolest ever made and they STILL house some.of the best talent ever assembled. Yea the GaaS push sucked but the are all HUGE corporations that need to appease. I think Sony should and does have the most goodwill and rightly so

Re: Rumour: New PS5 DualSense Controller Will Feature a Removable Battery

Nyne11Tyme

@RawnDawn I still get anywhere from 5-8 hours from all 4 controllers I have. 2 of which are launch day. Ive never played from fully charged to dead in one sitting. I guess I just dont have the time to binge that kind of gaming anymore. And id rather have the features and less life. The happiest are so cool when implemented well

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate State of Play for September 2025?

Nyne11Tyme

I feel like Saros is Returnal without the rogue "run" aspect which is what turned people off? Im super pumped for Housemarque and that game. Wolverine is Spartacus and as gory as the show lol. All in. Deus Ex Remaster, the Chrono game looks brilliant. People just can't be pleased anymore. Imagine being a gamer when ET for Atari was the next big release and experiencing that. We stay eating good.

Re: First PS Plus Essential Game for October 2025 Leaked

Nyne11Tyme

I just can't get into ANY Remedy game. Something just feels "off" in the controls and the input latency and character reactions to said inputs. I can't quite put my finger on it. I hate to use the term jank because im not sure thats even exactly what it is....sucks for me lol

Re: Ghost of Yotei's Very Reasonable Dev Budget on Par with Predecessor

Nyne11Tyme

Ghosts of Sushi was my favorite ps4 exclusive. I didnt sour on the foxes and shrines and hot springs like some. I enjoyed all my encounters. I loved the story, the sword play was amazing and legends was the icing on the cake. GoT actually kind of ruined some big releases for me afterwards. I know part of that is me aging but I haven't been this pumped for a new game since its predecessor. It was arguably a perfect game for my liking in the big (well actually not so big lol) budget, open world genre.

Re: Sony's Still Not Doing Anything with Bloodborne, It's Claimed

Nyne11Tyme

Part of me thinks sitting on the IP is because last reported sales were around 8 million at the end of 2022. So it took over 7 years to reach that milestone. And several million were at a much cheaper price point than new release msrp. As amazing of a game it is it wasn't TLoU or Spidey or GoW type sales by a long stretch. Sequels typically sell less as well. Now Bloodborne could be one of the anomalies in regards to a sequel surpassing the original.
