Re: PS5 Exclusive Intergalactic's Alleged New Webpage Is No Big Deal At All

Nyne11Tyme

@PuppetMaster Jason Shreirer (sp) has an entire spot in his book about dude overworking ND staff and driving a wedge between Bruce and Amy- among other things. Jason is about the only 'gaming journalist' left who actually gets the facts. Neil is a turd. He is talented no doubt. But clearly a snake. Intergalactic will be a massive benchmark for his true credibility.

Re: Fastidiously Multiformat Square Enix Skips PS5 with Yet Another Game

Nyne11Tyme

@RoomWithaMoose but it would if well made. Final Fantasy does NOT carry the clout it used to. Dragon Quest sells fine, but again, isn't some 10s of millions of units. Hell Persona is one of the most critically acclaimed rpg IPs out there and they struggle to sell 5+ million. There is 100% room for Sony to at least attempt. And it doesnt have to be FF7 Rebirth AAA bloated.

Re: 'I'm Confident in the Direction We're Headed': Under-Fire PlayStation Boss Tries to Explain Baffling Bluepoint Closure

Nyne11Tyme

Im so, so glad that outside ofna few big AAA anomalies im enjoying the create freedom that the indie seen takes. Blue Prince, BallxPit, Balatro, Vampire Survivors, Sea of Stars....and thats just a few. Have been eating.up my "new" game time. I find myself going back to much, much older games. Im eating well. The poors devs are not. The industry is entirely too BIG to sustain the amount of AAA content they expect consumers to buy. Thats just real. Dont get me wrong...Bluepoint would have been on the short list of my DONT CLOSE studios but the glut is real. Too much content that takes 100s of millions and in reality billions for publishers to sustain if everything isn't some massive success. Im sure BluePoint thought joining the Sony fam was a great idea (it usually isn't a bad one) and BOOM

Re: A New Engine for The Elder Scrolls 6? Don't Be Ridiculous

Nyne11Tyme

I, for one, enjoy the absolute feel of a Bethesda game. I fully understand the criticism though. If ES6 is just a larger, prettier Skyrim/Oblivion it could be the last game I ever have to buy lol. And if going from Creation 2 to 3 means I can finally climb a ladder ill watch my hat lol

Re: God of War: Sons of Sparta (PS5) - Series' Boldest Bet Is Also Its Slowest Burn

Nyne11Tyme

My main 2 gripes are early in it doesnt give you much direction. I get its a metroidvania style game but I felt there to be a lack of visual or audio cues that you are headed the right way aside from randomly running into your brother or magically talking to the right person. The other gripe is basically if you didn't tell me it was a God of War game id of just assumed it was some random Roman Metroidvania game. Clearly hearing TC and the dialog box saying Kratos but I think everyone gets my point

Re: God of War TV Series Has Found Its Atreus

Nyne11Tyme

@nessisonett id argue that isn't true anymore. Just Google home.many games are being released on a monthly or annual basis on storefronts...yea is there a lot of garbage. But id easily wager more games are being made than films at this point.

Edit- Id also argue that films need to be at least able to break even. Or be so critically acclaimed it gets the now defunct film house employees new jobs- which is very rare

Re: The End of an Era: Sony Spins Off Iconic Television Business

Nyne11Tyme

My main is still a 10 year old Sony. Its not even a 4k TV and people still come over and talk about the quality of the image. Sony made, imo, the best picture tellies in the business. You paid for it but it was worth it. I guess it'll only be Samsung moving forward for me unless anybody has a better recommendation. Ive had 2 utterly garbage LGs.

There isn't any facets of our lives that arent absurdly expensive (I guess in the states fuel has plummeted). Everyone, including myself, is feeling the squeeze. My wife and I are by no means rich but our combined is more than a decent portion. I still feel like I cant get ahead. Consoles are merely luxuries. And turning into expensive ones at that. There was always a checks and balance to life. That is GONE. Cost $100 to walk outside.

Re: Xbox Exclusive RPG Avowed Is Coming to PS5 in February with Major New Features

Nyne11Tyme

This game got crapped on for nothing. Its an absolute blast. Its gorgeous. The combat is chunky. The voice acting is phenomenal and the world feels lived in in a really weird way. If you were on the fence because the internet chose to crap on this i encourage you to give it a go. Obsidian is the Microsoft Insomniac imo. Output and quality are just there...always

Re: The Game Awards Keeps On Getting More and More Popular

Nyne11Tyme

Gamea ARE the entertainment standard now. This ain't no niche basement bs anymore (praise jebus!!). The show itself is still tragically paced and cringe. But thats also part of the charm. It feels like it was put together by gamers and I love that part of it. As I get older I have less time to play and find myself bored with what I used to love (Cant explain my lack of desire to play GoY but my appetite for BallxPit couldnt be higher lol). But damnit. This medium is so freaking important. Its good to see the popularity just continue to grow...and we wonder why investors expect perpetual growth....lol. Those viewing numbers explain a lot I think.

Re: 'The Majority of the Studio's on It': Bethesda Gives an Update on The Elder Scrolls 6

Nyne11Tyme

It'll be hard to top the shear awe of Skyrim. There are plenty who say Morrowind was peak and its been downhill ever since but nothing, and I mean nothing, just took days away from me like Skyrim. Did it truncate some systems to allow less hardcore players? Sure, to a degree. But I remember spending like 4 hours in one ruin and then a damn dragon dropped out of what looked like a small star in the final room. Just that one ruin was like 1/3 of a game for some studios. The scale was absolutely insane and the freedom was just amazing. I literally lived in that world. The music, the immersion...all peak. They'll never top that cultural bomb of casual and hardcore ever again imo. Thats a unicorn type game regardless of its flaws.

Re: Key Square Enix Shareholder Publicly Criticises Weak Game Sales, Company Management

Nyne11Tyme

They have lost their identity to some degree. FF id only FF because they title it that. They've gone so far off the rails on what the majority of people associate the game with. DQ still seems to know what it is at least. The HD remakes were smart imo though. Rebirth could have probably had 30-50 million of its budget removed...that game is so, so bloated. More isn't always better. Focusing on games like Octopath and Bravely seem like a smarter bet right now. There is always a hunger for smaller but amazing rpgs. They also really need to go back to the drawing board Hard for FF17. Cant even imagine how bloated the KH4 budget is either...

Re: Japanese Ghost of Yotei PS5 Sales Are Just About Hanging On

Nyne11Tyme

@Blaze215 60 million dollar budget. 3.3 million x $70.00 per unit....its already a financial success. Even if that budget doesnt include marketing. And just one platform...no PC, no Xbox, no Nintendo. It is a phenomenal success. FF16 budget, to my understanding, was never disclosed. It was probably bloated to triple or quadruple what the Ghost team spent. The difference is great devs that are efficient vs. Decent devs that aren't.
