I'd imagine some of these deals were already struck before the newly tiered plus versions were finalized. I'm sure this will eventually stop happening of happen less frequently. You have to continue to offer good games on your baseline tier or risk losing subs for any form of Plus

Jumping Flash and I can't wipe the smirk off my face lol. That damn game was waaay ahead of its time. And just some catchy ass music. My total upgrade til my current plus sub ended (146 days) cost me 20$ to try Premium for essentially 5 months. No brainer.

Day 1 for psvr. Day 1 for psvr2. I most likely will game very little outside VR for quite some time. Especially considering the massive upgrade. I got lost in Moss, FarPoint (Co op campaign- legit), ASTRO, Thumper, Beat Saber, Wipeout, Creed, Arizona Sunshine, Blood and Truth, Tetris Effect...so, so much. And it was the worst** VR headset out att. With truly immerisve worlds and experiences...I'm gone lol. I have zero motion sickness or headaches. I could crank Wipeput VR in hour clips

So SF6 was a big surprise with a campaign. FF16 not dropping til next summer tells me FF7R2 is at LEAST 2024 at this point regardless of being different teams. Will be a day one buy for VR2 as long as I can find one

I highly doubt 55% live service content is feasible by any stretch of the imagination. For every banger success story for GaaS titles there are TONS that fail horribly. If Sony has 2 titles that catch mainstream out if the 10 or whatever they said they are developing it should be considered a massive success. And when the other 8 fail we will get back to more investment in single player experiences

I wished the remake would have an expanded version of Factions. Would have made more sense than this massive undertaking of creating and entirely separate experience. Factions was amazing and could easily be expanded into something even more special. Just makes sense to me

I think whatever the new MP game is they should bundle it with TLoU Remake. Just makes sense. Factions was the MP mode for the first game.

The reality is their pockets aren't as deep as Xbox to dump everything day 1 on a sub. The other reality is Xbox, outside Forza and Gears, hasn't came close to the level of quality that Playstation Studios puts out consistently. I think it's funny that Nintendo gets zero heat regarding this 1st party subscription nonsense

When the PS6 drops this will be exciting stuff

7 in VR was too much for me, so was Here They Lie in VR. I could only handle Dead Space is about hour long runs before my anxiety took over. Lol. I'm ok with a MP Resi game. But not blasting hoards...outsmarting a few terrifyingly hard and scary enemies with a few others sounds legit though

Trek to Yomi on Series S, Forbidden West on PS5 and Kirby on Switch

Other than the Aloy halo effect and falling into geometry one time I've had ZERO issues with this game. I'm taking it super slow. Few hours a week (kids lol) and am absolutely loving it. Trek to Yomi dropped today so I will give that game a front of the line pass for the next week

For me Shenmue is the most oddly endearing franchise I've ever played. Any negative light on the franchise makes a guy like me sad lol. Something about it just hit so different when it dropped that I've just out and out become enamored with the world and characters. It's an acquired taste and S3 was literally made for the few that feel the way I do about the series. I really hope 4 happens and he wraps it up. He isn't getting younger and neither are the fans.

@Ralizah hot take on that....BotW 2 footage was shown on a high end PC. Will be watered down on current Switch. Was delayed to coincide with the long rumored next Switch or Switch pro. The vertical nature of what was shown has gotta be taxing the piss out of the current model regardless of texture quality etc.

Please make this happen and please let 4 be the end. Dudes vision is great and all but I will truly be dead before it ends if he wants to make so many more installments. I looooved 3. And it's NOT for everyone. But I'd you grew up on 1 and 2 and how mind boggling they were for their time it was easy to love 3.

The first Horizon released days before BotW and is Lifetime over 20 million. FW releases right around Elden Ring is no big deal imo. And actually Sony NOT shifting either release speaks volumes to the confidence they have in their teams. I for one went FW first and will get to Elden Ring down the road. I can't be alone in that.

Only if Sony bought SE would I have any faith in them touching that IP for a full remake or sequel

@Bleachedsmiles all in development well before gamepass became a thing though. I'd imagine part of that is pure coincidence. And Halo 5 wasn't missing Ppromised features after a year delay or after release like Infinite still is. Considering you named 3 games, 2 of which are from very well established franchises, I don't see the point really. Not being a d*** but they SHOULD be putting out some bangers and Halo x and Forza x shouldn't exactly be a surprise for quality (add Gears in and that's the Xbox tri fecta of quality reviewed first party titles for the last several years). Loved Flight Sim and Psychonauts 2 just fyi

They shouldn't. I genuinely believe that quality of content would greatly suffer if they did. They aren't an infinite war chest like Microsoft. I've yet to be disappointed in the overall product of a SWW studio since the start of ps3. Even the shuttered studios such as Evolution and Sony Japan (among others) made either a critically, commercially or niche fan favorite game.

Knack VR just seems right

Jean d'Arc was just as good as War of the Lions imo, Patapon and Crisis Core stand out as well. The GoWs are nice too. Especially chains of Olympus

The fact Herman said "we will never stop making single player games like TLoU, GoW, GoT and Horizon" makes me happy lol. Jade Raymond has held the highest office in games and tech and flat out said Sony just hits different. No company is perfect. But I see the amount of hate around GT7 (game also reviewed great every reviewer noted the crazy amount of content for the asking price) and get a little saddened. Sony is Nintendo quality with less baffling decisions regarding IPs and their dormancy. Her comments along with Herman's should give everyone some big picture perspective. They are a huge company who enjoys profit but also really loves games. Tl;Dr 😂
