Re: MindsEye Is Comfortably the Worst Reviewed PS5 Game of 2025

Nyne11Tyme

I hate to say it but we need a hard reset. Dare I say a "crash". The gaming market is so incredibly over saturated. I genuinely believe half the studios could cease to exist and there would still be too many good AND bad games. I could probably justify a backlog for the rest of my gaming life if literally no new games were made.

Re: UK Sales Charts: The Last of Us Season 2 Puts the Game Back in the Top 10

Nyne11Tyme

@CrispyMango92 I get that lol. She does the non clicker/dark creepy sections (the "walking sim" parts) just to feel involved maybe? Just trying to find a way to help involve her beyond watching. Luckily, my wife gets into some ***** like this. She's still easily scared though lol. That first bloater scene in the basement in Pittsburgh was almost the end

Re: MindsEye Really Does Look Like a Long-Lost PS3 Game

Nyne11Tyme

The hate is real lol. It looks like a great sandbox if it runs well. I hate that EVERYTHING has to reinvent the wheel in this day and age. If it's fun then that is all that matters. Looks to fill the Saints Row (1 and 2)/watchdogs void. I mean the dude behind the studio spent a lot of time at RockStar.

Re: Beloved Ex-PlayStation Boss Believes $70, $80 Games Are a Steal

Nyne11Tyme

I paid 94.99 at Babbages for a cart of Chrono Trigger in the mid 90s. I paid 84.99 for Killer Instinct Gold on N64 and about the same DK64. And DK required the expansion RAM pack. Those games would be the equivalent of $150+ accounting for inflation today. If you cant except it don't play. Or play the F2P potential money pits and stop complaining. I don't like it either considering the overall increased cost of living across the board but to call it excessively expensive is a massive reach. Especially considering one failed game and it's over for most. Just my opinion of course but I find the logic in NOT accepting these prices flawed.

Re: Fairgames, One of Sony's Last Live-Service PS5 Games, Loses Studio Founder Amid Internal Worries

Nyne11Tyme

The real reality...and it's not good...hear me out. These live service successes are so rare that Sony is still actually crushing lol. Just GT7 and HD2 alone are absurdly popular NEW(ish) live service titles, especially the latter. Finding one diamond in that ever expanding coal mine is all but impossible as GTAO, Fornite, Marvel Rivals and random Gatchas hog up 90%+ of the market. It's gross. But they leveraged a lot and haven't actually been burned. Sure the 4-6 canceled we know of probably had close 250-500 million invested. But the 2 successes coupled with the 3rd party live service revenue means they are eating good...it's scary lolol

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 580

Nyne11Tyme

@Rangers420 I feel for you. You are going to get absolutely crushed if you have done Kvatch. The level scaling will make sure of that. If you are beyond level 10 you might as well start over or revert to a save before level 10. Most people don't know this. It's a total c u next Tuesday to beat the first oblivion gate if you are leveled up. Good luck and hopefully you aren't much past 10

Re: Nintendo Is Losing Its Identity, Says Ex-PlayStation Boss

Nyne11Tyme

@Ooccoo_Jr that's a little disingenuous. Ps1 changed the game going from carts to disc, ps2 turned a game console into a multimedia device with DVD functionality, ps3 shopped with 2 consoles and Sonys proprietary Blu ray, ps4 took everything from the previous gens and streamlined it, ps5 ssd and dual sense controller.

Re: PS5 Price Increases Announced by Sony, Affect UK, Europe, and More

Nyne11Tyme

@SlasherZ it's most likely to create panic and shift a million units before we also inevitably get the hose. I'm pretty sure even China will come to the table to talk soon enough. I'm no huge Trumper by any means but it would be disingenuous to say America hasn't been subsidizing several 1st/2nd and even 3rd world countries for a long time.

Edit: so I hope it works long term lol.

Re: Poll: Are You Planning to Buy Bungie's Marathon?

Nyne11Tyme

I think it looks pretty awesome if that is your Jam. I might check it out. But I'm damn near 40, demanding career and kids in sports...I've only hit 30 hours in Avowed and downloaded the day it dropped and LOVE it lol. So my time is so, so limited

Re: Poll: 5 Years Later, How Do You Feel About Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

Nyne11Tyme

I enjoyed remake so much more than rebirth. The Dyne 3 phase mutant bullet sponge battle was where I said to myself I hate what they did. The characters, world and music are so wonderfully realized. But damn...<<shown cut scene of 4 bullets essentially causing amputation/gun arm installed>>...now let's shoot Dyne with 15k bullets over the course of the slog infested phases where he turns into some mutant...that was it for me lol

Re: Final Fantasy 9 Remake 'Tease' Has Fans Losing Their Minds

Nyne11Tyme

9 is my 2nd favorite mainline FF title. Was so unique in tone. It blended the old school high fantasy with some FF6 and FF7 vibes somehow smashed together. Aside from a slightly convoluted equipment system it was a phenomenal rpg. All for the remake but i worry about the "bullet sponge" type bosses and the combat being some weird hack n slash mess. Clair Obscur looks to have the perfect balance from what I've seen blending old school rpg combat. If that's true let's hope ff9 does that

Re: PlayStation Hypes Up Big Marathon PS5 Reveal This Weekend

Nyne11Tyme

Bungie is an amazing dev. They've sure as he'll had their problems and made some mistakes. But they always have made really engaging and fun titles gameplay wise. I hope this game has a narrow focus. The art direction is gorgeous. We know they know how to make a weapon feel great. They know they have to nail this.
