Finally downloaded the Halo Infinite campaign on my Series last night. It's got good nostalgia thing going. Gameplay is fun, sorry inoffensive so far lol. Then I'm either going for FF16 or Pikmin 4

Sad thing is the system was an utter beast, with ps2 components inside for true BC along with a BluRay player that was stand alone 1k when this thing launched. It was marketed poorly but was a STEAL when it released. Ps3 might be my favorite of them all. Journey, Killzone, Uncharted, TLoU, Motor Storm, Demon Souls, MGS4....it had so, so many bangers

The biggest concern is always online coupled with subscriptions. If your internet is out no game, if your sub runs out no game. The lines of ownership are blurring fast.

@BlueWeezer Aspyr is no longer the developer. Apparently, things weren't going well. The studio that has taken over is listed as 'Internal Embracer Group' studio. I also believe at one point Saber Interactive was involved once Aspyr couldn't make significant progress

Dude is in the upper pantheon of game developers. And for everyone who cant stand Neil....Wells must see something worth passing the torch. I highly doubt he was pushed out and I also don't think Sony would blindly give Neil the keys.

Maybe AAA games wouldn't take 6 years if they didn't spend half their day playing snooker, talking to a therapist, praying and getting Lattes? I'm being slightly facetious but also a little serious here

I just hate that nobody thinks there is a shot (pun...intended...maybe) at making anything to compete. It's a shame that's where we are. The next CoD doesn't have to have a half billion to make. It needs innovation and devs that are wizards with their craft. It will take a widely successful first entry with a decent budget and then every major pub chomping at the bit to put out your sophomore effort. It can be done. It would take probably 3 iterations or releases to gain/steal popularity from CoD but it can be done. Or am I just crazy?

Mgs4 is some of the best gameplay in the series in my opinion but damn it's also that most long-winded and convoluted too lol...that's saying something for a Kojima game

Probably my favorite game of all time. I wished it was on Switch or ps5. I hate having to break out my snes, wii or ps3 to play.

Just please have Costa del Sol, Cosmo Canyon, Gongaga, Nibelheim, Rocket Town, Junon, Mideel and Gold Saucer fully realized. Make the subtle changes you need but don't omit massively fun parts of the game to push narrative nonsense. I highly expect Wutai to be DLC for some reason. I also expect part 3 to have a MASSIVE city of the ancients. Highly anticipated by me....seeing as its my number 1/2 game of all time. Can never decide if FF7 or Chrono Trigger is my definitive gaming moment

I could dream a Hotline Miami 3 lol. Ib know it's not happening. Hopefully, whatever Dennaton Games is making is shown. There have only been a few clips posted in the past years

But but Sony looooved the concept from Haven. Was going to change the gaming world lol. Co-op PVP heist shooter doesn't scream original or ground breaking in any way. Jim Ryan has managed to keep things quality while being wholly unlikable. If he pulls an "Xbox Don" I will be very said. Dude. Can single handed destroy the brand if he isn't careful

Insomniac is Playstations work horse. They are as talented as any studio but still hit solid time frames

@RudeAnimat0r keep it for another 20 years and then maybe. Why sell it for the price of a utility bill when you could maybe sell it for a trip you always wanted or a car you wish you could have. Keep it my dude!! I have so, so many unopened Legos, TMNT Figures, collector editions of games...all for my son. My parents wouldnt/couldn't have had a clue what a boxed copy of SMB3 or Chrono trigger would fetch today. I know these things and randomly buy something that I think will appreciate for my family.

1, 3, 2, 5, 4. All are very good though. First time I heard the symphony on ps3 was magical. 1 just hit different because of it being wrapped in my childhood years.

@Balie3000 it's actually a REALLY loud minority. If I remember correctly Bloodborne only sold 2-3 million copies. That's not exactly gangbusters. I'd be all for it but I'm sure some of the hesitation stems from those numbers. But with the absurd popularity of Elden Ring that could easily boost sales for those that never played

@GodofCapcom oh for sure. They are all great Devs as well. What SP did with GoT was amazing. Bluepoint killed the DS remake and I looooooved Returnal. I also loved everything else Housemarque did...all the way back to the amazing Resogun.

GG, SSM, Insomniac and ND are the benchmark or standard for what teams should be able to do or strive to do.

I really need to finish Hogwartz lol. Can't wait for this. I absolutely loved the first game. And Dambuster seems to really have enjoyed picking up the pieces and making this their own.

Still Hogwartz Legacy. One of my favorites in many years. I have done a replay of Chrono Trigger or FF7 (OG) in a while...been getting that itch again. Also maybe some even more retro. Super Mario World and Ninja Gaiden carts have been staring me in the face for a minute lol

I'm not sure I understand this. Lol. Xbox has a massive war chest of money andNintendo stays with a nice war chest as well. They are 2 private entities coming to an agreement on a deal. Why aren't they all over SE, Capcom and the other dev/pubs that are signing the dotted line as well. Also, has anyone ever heard of a solid business relationship? Sony apparently know how to treat devs/pubs financially and otherwise to get the deals done.

Still not sure exactly what to make of this. The team is obviously passionate about LotR and Tolkien lore. I'm assuming it's like a stealth/platformer from the videos I watch. Gollum will have to have some means of combat but I've yet to see it

The more I read the more I'm excited for this game. I didn't really like 15 at all and beat 13 but had zero interest in the sequels. Last proper FF I've enjoyed was 12. I'd also rank 12 below 4, 6, 7, 9 and 10 soo lol...I really want this to bring the series back for me

@TBubs311 I agree. Ragnarok improved on many things gameplay wise. But the anticipation of the reboot, the sheer quality of it and the story gice 2018 the edge imo

Sony Santa Monica and Insomniac have pulled ahead of Naughty Dog imo. And I'm splitting hairs don't get me wrong lol. Suckered Punch also. Several of the industries top 10 devs come from Sony right now imp. Will be diving in once I wrap Hogwartz

Long ball. Took OG psvr a while to reach that 5 million milestone. Also lots of people are just getting their hands on the console itself. Hard to double dip at over $1k combined in these craptacular economic times. I'm pretty sure it'll be just was the first one was. A mild success that will continue to get better and cheaper with better iterations and R&D.

The last 2 years of ps3 and the first 2 years of ps4 was an indie haven on Playstation. O hope they get back to that

Article doesn't mention that Iron Galaxy is responsible for the PC port. Yes, it ultimately will fall on ND but they outsourced the port. Should have gone to Nixxes

Seems weird cause they aren't easy to find the the states. I mean scalpers have them online for 800-1000 but I haven't been able to find one at msrp

Folklore and 3D DOT Heroes were great games.

I could see a MM style game, maybe a prequel to 2018. Please not at 70$ though. Maybe Kratus isn't even in it. So many characters could be playable.

Hope it sells 50 million copies. Most fun I've had with a game in a long time. It just hits different. They nailed the setting and lore so well. I feel like a 5th year at hogwartz lol. Yes I'm tire of hearing about floo powder and there is this odd nasaly echo in the characters voice but damnit this game is fun. Chaining together different magic correctly can make you feel like a master wizard as a teenager. They basically treat you just like Harry.

I've never had a a major retailer in the US break a street date. Are these "retailers" just like one off electronic joints randomly peppered throughout Europe and Asia or what?

I'm loving it. Just a beautiful and fun game. Inventory management is crap early on but everything is amazing imo. They did such a good job with the setting its hard to stay on task. It reminds me of when the first Fable dropped even though it was missing promised (impossible lol) features. Very few games make me feel like a kid while playing

Mines still hooked up. Can't play Motorstorm, MGS4 or Folklore anywhere else.

Wonder if all the devs they let go will get their jobs back since there will be 69 billion laying around. Doubt it. An extra slap in the face to all those people.
