In case you forgot, Sony is publishing 4:Loop, developed by Bad Robot Games and spearheaded by the creator of Left 4 Dead. The guy really likes the number four.
The game is an "emergent, challenging, co-op combat sandbox" for four players, and the team has just debuted some new gameplay footage going over what it's all about.
It's an odd game to describe, but what it seems to boil down to is roguelike-ish runs where you go through various mission types to fight back against an alien enemy.
It seems efforts have been made to ensure each run is unique, with lots of emergent elements popping in to surprise players and force them to improvise.

The game has some interesting ideas and there seems to be plenty of potential for chaotic fun with some friends, but by the same token, we can't help but feel it looks a little generic, at least visually. There's just something not quite clicking with us.
This is one we're going to have to play ourselves before we can really figure it out. There's no date on 4:Loop yet, but it's due for release on PS5.

I thought this trailer was much better than the reveal. Looking forward to giving this a shot when they announce the beta.
I think gameplay looks pretty fun. Like the Rubik cube boss looks pretty unique for a co-op game.
Idk what some people are on about, this looked good to me. I’m not saying it’s amazing or anything, but i’m interested to see more from it
Concord 5 having a 4 in the name is quite funny, not gonna lie.
'Intresting and uninteresting at the same time' pretty much sums up everything that comes from Bad Robot.
I’m pushing for a ban on using “loop” in any titles for the next decade.
Its like 1st person helldivers with some returnal oddball mixed. I thought it actually looked good for a service title.
I think it looks better than the new Horizon 😉
It intrigued me which is more than most live service reveals do. I'd happily give a beta a go.
My only skip from the presentation.
I thought the trailer looked fun, a lot better than the reveal trailer. Is it free to play? If it is I’d definitely check it out. If it’s not, my interest is there, will wait to see more
Yeah, destined to flop.
