Actually something new and interesting, albeit for 20 minutes. I'd get a Fifa game with a story like that and a little bit of free roam between games as such, I know NBA went that route and didn't do that well outside of the matches but it could do well in something like a new Fifa Street, those ps2 games were fantastic so why not an expansion on that series? Personally still gonna skip this one as I recently got a free copy of 21, not that I'll ever play it single player.
@JohnKarnes Tbf growing your own produce is a great idea if you give a toss about keeping the planet alive for more than 10 years or so. At least locally sourcing things for a second option. I have to admit I know of the malpractice in gaming sectors but strive towards vegetarianism/locally sourced food and sustainable living much more than what games I should and shouldn't purchase.
Why space and androids? Yes, Among Us did that but does that part need to be copied over? Surely 2 great hunks of metal could just smush all the people at once. Shoulda just went traditional cluedo but the killer is a sneaky serial killer.
Haven't watched the movies so that isn't a factor for me. Sounds good so far. Will wait for reviews of the rest of the game (They'll always show their best areas first).
@Subsided Virgins? If they're blowing this kinda cash they could get a couple of escorts for an hour for not a penny more. Yes, I used to have a friend that won money from gambling and was tired of not getting any action for a few years... Because he was always broke because of his gambling haha
Ant-Man could be cool, but I struggle to see how they justify having to fight tiny enemies like bugs or whatever. Seems best in a lego setting. My 2 favourites were Dr. Strange (hey, R&C Rift Apart with a more realistic tone and bro, free your mind and listen to the voice within. Take some DMT, wake up... This story is the closest to reality. Loving hippy moment over.) and also Punisher because I don't think they ever nailed that darker tone (I'm basically going polar opposites here). I think Black Panther's Wakanda and tribal stufg would be a great setting, though. Anything else I don't know or care for.
...Oh. So, I was wrong to think we'd be be playing as Tom and Barbara hosting dinner parties with Margo and Jerry in a 70s style house then... But at least there will be animals. Got that part right. Basically predicted the whole plot.
I played the OG on ps2 for hours and hours. Enjoyed just messing about in games back then, when you sort of made your own story a little as well. Never gelled when I came to play the sequel so and haven't had much interest in the remake of the OG, either. I feel I wouldn't get the same enjoyment out of the small levels or reading thoughts/transforming into people. They were great games back in the day but honestly just feel like other games have ran with most of their ideas, other than mixing in a UFO with tractor beam. I remember trying to play the terrible ps3 game as well, cringe. On a side note, also skip the first video if you don't want to hear terrible music and see 0 gameplay.
@TBubs311 It hits sale now and then. It was really insane in scooe for a 3d game at the time of release, obviously pc only back then. Still a bit janky in the remaster (gun play is outdated and takes getting used to) but it's got a great story and setting so looks and feels nice. Also, the conversation animations are bad, kind of funny bad actually tb. If it hits sale again I'd say it's worth a try.
They haven't really announced anything about PS/NGVR other than pretty much that they're gonna push it harder and have bigger titles, so not much chance of any devs working with Sony on it will spill any beans. Will be awaiting a show case next year some time where they'll reveal a few big games at least, I think.
@tameshiyaku I was getting CE 34878 0 on my base ps4 quite a bit before I changed to pro and last night was the first time I had it on a pro. Could be a coincidence, though.
Probably not this time. I'm currently playing Psychonauts, Far Cry 5, Genshin Impact, Table Top Racing and No Heroes Allowed VR. Also tempted to play New N Tasty or Vampyr again to platinum then but may just move on to other games as well. I bought quite a few VR games on the last sale, though.
@Voltan haha I was gonna mention both of those things. Also, it kind of reminds me of playing with my toys as a child. Didn't need a fort to be a fort, a spatula and cardboard boxes will do for my various kinder egg toy collections to play in or perhaps Batman would be in a dark cave chasing the Mr. Freeze under the bed.
I just realised you can delete 0% Trophy lists yesterday so got rid of a few games I never liked from my list. So many annoying games give you a trophy for playing the game for 5 seconds, though so still stuck with some.
Literally 2 days ago I was looking at how the 1.3 patch runs on a pro and I realised (unless you only walk through the whole city) it is a complete Ghost Town. I figured until a pro specific patch hits that will fix that I'm not interested. Will this GPU optimisation help?
Cool info for some but the only one I have any real interest in would be FFIX Remake and let's face it, it has to be the remaster. There's no way they'd start such a project before finishing 7.
It looks to have VR compatibility, so they should have just announced that if true, at least they would have shown they were adding something different then.
I can't afford more time to yet another series. I know if I like this one I'll try to go back and play the rest of the series. This and the "of Mana" series will probably be reserved for a dry year of games (when multiplayer/battle royale dominate the scene... -shudders-) when I have much less that I haven't played through.
This actually looks good, however I'll have to miss the season stuff they're chucking in because I can't play through 2 Far Cry games in a row, I'll be burned out after 5 for a while. I'm guessing the crossover content will always be available, though.
@Daveuppercut I'm playing through Far Cry 5 now (thanks to the GoldenEye recreated maps going back up) and have to say I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. It is a similar formula, but it's been long enough since I played 3 all those years ago (skipped 4) and it's fun to explore the map a decent amount and do most of the tasks. I think the Supersampling makes it look a little better on my 1080p game mode TV, too. The dog companion is really cool, unlocked him instantly but what really annoys me is the fact they didn't ever patch in that he can ride in the back of your truck or such.
I voted okay because Venom would be a cool boss, as for Wolverine, I hope they don't just make Spider-Man/Miles Morales with Logan. I had a little interest in Project Eve and GoW (mostly because I still haven't played my copy of the first game) but I remembered KotOR after voting and wanted to change my answer to good. Oh well !
Oh, wow. I wasn't alone thinking the story and characters look weak AF, then? I mean, imagine what the people who were complaining about Saints Row would think of this game if they were hyped for it? I thought SR story and characters could be good but this really did seem to lower the bar, perhaps they will stop complaining now.
Looks really awesome. However, the only thing about a game like this is there are usually only a few characters and the rest are enemies with no personality. Completely opposite from my favourite genre RPG where you can just spend half the game in dialogue haha I actually wanted the trailer music higher in this one, though, sounded nice. On a side note, I've seen giant tentacle beings breaking through a dimensional tear from the abyss in movies and TV before but never have we been able to kick such a tentacle butt in a game before.
@somnambulance That's what I thought of too. If there's anything that game taught me it was that transforming into other things and having completely fresh feeling mechanics is really awesome.
@Johnnycide You're that Ninja... Thanks for reminding me of this one. I haven't watched it in years. The mine bit was pure gold. I also remember that part where he was playing with mud guard. Haha However, I have definitely seen another which does a similar routine but in fast forward with that sort of Benny Hill music. Metal Gear Solid explained video is really a solid source of intel for those who might have only played 5. I had no idea Eeyore was behind the whole thing, though. Kojima's twists are just endless.
Lol the sped up bit with that music reminds me of a video where someone played the gamecube version of the OG MGS and had that same music, they sped it up exactly like that as the guard went "Huh? Whose footsteps are these???" And then proceeded to walk around a crate in a circle for 40 seconds doing exactly the same thing over and over. Really made you see how dumb AI is if you don't put tons of effort in lol
Mine seems to have come with 7 pieces of DLC? Also, I noticed when I plugged my external HDD into my new Pro system I have some DLC which says "installed" but lets me download it again... Whaaaaat?
So, it's basically a Peppa Pig episode with none of the OG voice overs except Grampy Pig and Mummy Pig? Laaaaaame. Though, my little 3 year old hasn't even grasped Super Mario World yet, sadly, so if it's point and click it may be a good choice for him.
