Project Eve is the first console game from Korean developer Shift Up Corp, and it’s coming to PlayStation 5. The developer showcased over four minutes of frantic footage during Sony’s big PlayStation Showcase, and it looks real good. This is a Devil May Cry-style affair, with a flashy female protagonist and some gruesome antagonists.

“In the not-too-distant future, mankind is expelled from Earth after losing the battle against the invaders called the NA:tives. To win back Earth, the player becomes Eve, the survivor of the paratrooper squad deployed from the Colony, who must fight through powerful enemies with new comrades,” the PlayStation Blog post explains.

It sounds like you can expect all the staples of a big-budget character action here: DualSense support, a skill tree, and some deeper systems which reward you for parrying and evading attacks. “You can also look forward to finding stylish costumes throughout the game to change Eve’s look.” There’s no release date just yet, but we’re in.
