Project Eve is the first console game from Korean developer Shift Up Corp, and it’s coming to PlayStation 5. The developer showcased over four minutes of frantic footage during Sony’s big PlayStation Showcase, and it looks real good. This is a Devil May Cry-style affair, with a flashy female protagonist and some gruesome antagonists.
“In the not-too-distant future, mankind is expelled from Earth after losing the battle against the invaders called the NA:tives. To win back Earth, the player becomes Eve, the survivor of the paratrooper squad deployed from the Colony, who must fight through powerful enemies with new comrades,” the PlayStation Blog post explains.
It sounds like you can expect all the staples of a big-budget character action here: DualSense support, a skill tree, and some deeper systems which reward you for parrying and evading attacks. “You can also look forward to finding stylish costumes throughout the game to change Eve’s look.” There’s no release date just yet, but we’re in.

I think this might have been the game i was most interested in.
Its taken me 4 years but im finally playing and loving neir automata and this game was reminding me a lot of that.
This game really reminds me of Nier Automata: Setting, combat, flying robot companion, butt
Really exited for this game, was hoping we would finally get a release date or at least a release window. Also I didn't expected this game to be shown in the Showcse at all
@Oh_fiddlesticks what a rump! Game’s got that bonkers aesthetic I like it
The devs got sick of waiting for Bayonetta 3 and decided to do it themselves.
I sort of like some of the monster designs but that main character is just so generic, feels out of place almost.
Get more Nier vibes (a game I love). The art is just fantastic, so not complaining.
Right now Day 1.
I liked this trailer. Showed a lot and looked good. Looks like my kinda thing.
@commentlife Exactly my thoughts. There's so much detail in the environments and enemies that the main girl looks oily and out of place.
That being said, this looks like a cinematic action game right up Bayonetta's alley.
Got me interested in. I’ll keep an eye out.
@Broosh yeah I think it’s from that graphical standpoint she doesn’t look part of the same game…
oh well, Couple of nip slips hopefully. Half reminds me who’s up for a new Lollipop Chainsaw outing
This one has been kicking around for a while but wow it looks really great! Definitely the most impressive part of the showcase.
Hi there fellow gamers.
Just like @Deadlyblack mentioned, Shift Up Corp got tired of waiting on Bayo 3, they decided to to do it themselves.
And it looks super stylish to booth.
First there was Black Myth: Wukong, then Xie Yun Liu Chuan and now this one. And they all look pretty great.
Asia really wants to dominate the next gen, do they?
Or should I say current gen? Is it current already? I don´t know.
Cheers, stay safe nae chingudeul and happy gaming to us all
There's a lot of potential in the Korean game dev space. Unlike Japan who have been veering more towards mobile and handheld over the last decade or so, Korea has always been into high fidelity gaming on PC. Getting some of that talent and introducing the west to these games on console could be a great endeavour.
This alongside some good looking Chinese games bodes well. I think we've been used to Eastern video games basically just being Japanese for the longest time, so it's nice to see more of that region gaining prominence.
Project EVE was my dark horse of the entire show and if it ends up playing even half as good as it looks, it’ll be a winner. Can’t wait to learn more. At first, I actually thought it was a Bayonetta origins game!
I love it cant wait to play it.
This game is on my radar. Looks dope!
the game looks fire , loved the tights and different shots of her a** , too, sexy . i wish sony would make their women characters like that , lol im just kidding . xD
This gave me a darker FF7 Remake vibe and I loved it.
Nice to see some sexy appeal in games in this era of "realistic" characters. Which I have nothing against, but uts always nice to have those fan service games too
Looks the same as last years video except she has a shiny butt now
@Icey664 this is a korean game and the looks of the character are the beauty standard in korea. Beautiful face, slim, long legs, small face and .. other things. Asia isn't as married as the west with representation and it should be respected as a lot of people respect representation.
@Deadlyblack lmao
I'm not gonna complain if that's the case. This game looks fantastic.
This looks like Bayonetta but with a more attractive playable character.
Looks like waifus are back on the menu, boys!
This looks awesome.
So that's another one to the want list, looks insane in all the good ways.
I'm actually hyped for this, it's like bayonetta that's made for ps5 but from korean
@WCB Yup, after watching all the western protagonist this game is a breath of fresh air lol.
@NeonTiger I though it's a platinum games too. It will be cool if platinum make bayonetta like games exclusive for ps5, with platinum gameplay and sony 1st party quality graphics. Nier automata is selling well afterall, there's market for these kind of action games.
I was 1000% sure it's a Platinum Games's game. Color me surprised.
Looks really awesome. However, the only thing about a game like this is there are usually only a few characters and the rest are enemies with no personality. Completely opposite from my favourite genre RPG where you can just spend half the game in dialogue haha I actually wanted the trailer music higher in this one, though, sounded nice.
On a side note, I've seen giant tentacle beings breaking through a dimensional tear from the abyss in movies and TV before but never have we been able to kick such a tentacle butt in a game before.
**Updated** - found news that Project EVE appears to be PC / PS5 / XSX / XSS now, looks like they ditched the past gen versions.
I remembered it being announced for PS4 / XO and was watching thinking I've no idea how they'd run it!
might just saunter over to Game tomorrow to see if they have it for preorder.........
For me this game was the highlight of the presentation. Ghostwire is going to get a preorder too, and maybe Gran Turismo 7 and Tchia. I'm glad someone not!Japanese is doing a bona-fide sci-fi-post-apocalyptic game that is its own new IP. (Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a PS5 upgraded NieR:Automata, another game that did SF/PA amazingly, but nice to see something from Korea.)
This looks like a combo of Nier + DMC + Bayonetta, I like! (despite only playing beating two DMC games)
Will add to my watchlist for sure.
@nomither6 Yeah Project Eve looks great and not to mention Eve herself is hot as hell, I love her design and skin-tight body suit, plus those ass shots were great.👌Sony should definitely make more female protagonists like this, there’s not enough in the world.
@ProjectEve-Lover123 😂😂😂
