I bought Murdered Soul Suspect for a really similar price last year. Must have been 10p more or something. Story isn't bad and exploration is fun enough with nice but mostly smaller environments. Combat is virtually non existent, more like you just stealth to an enemy and then do a QTE. It's worth a playthrough, especially when it's so cheap. Definitely wouldn't go back for the plat, though.
Am I the only one who found this whole thing hilarious? A company is a company, not a friend or family and therefore I have no brand loyalty so it's quite the spectacle for me, no matter who is flinging the poop. The fact they've added air flow makes it quite interesting, though, could be worth getting these when I finally get a ps5.
@darkswabber Personally much preferred 13 to 13-2. Also, never played anything prior to 7 due to the 2d graphics and being tired of that in the jrpg genre, so I couldn't rank it based on that. I guess maybe that game should have seen a remake
@get2sammyb @everynowandben I thought I read somewhere that it was a loosely tied game where as the new Batman is completely different universe. Was also going to make the Harley Quinn point but tbh, I'm also on board with @ShogunRok, in that I don't need a celebrity face because personally it adds no excitement or enjoyment. I thought she had a good model in the Arkham series.
Hmm. Shadow government. Sounds familiar and over done. I suppose they covered many villains (even if briefly) in the Arkham series. Never got a Ventriloquist or Killer Moth fight, though. Some gameplay would help us know if it looked good, though. Will just remain indifferent for now.
Awww man. I was hopeful for this as I wouldn't mind another light hearted game but screw on rails shooters. Will wait for the next colourful family friendly gamd.
@Nekomichu @Tharsman Nevermind. I had to register to Squeenix with another email (used the one from the US psn account) and it worked. Tried to make me use a laptop at first but fumbled to a ps store page where I added it and then a new trial was visible on my main ps4 account.
@Tharsman @Nekomichu So, I just checked and the "Final Fantasy XIV Online - Starter Edition" was £20 (with only 30 days free) for my main account, so I figured it might be the account and switched to a US account I rarely use to buy US sale games with psn top ups and it's 20 dollars there (still with a month limitation). Is it perhaps only free on steam.
@Cherip-the-Ripper Ahh, ok. Thanks for the info! They were the first 2 that came to mind, followed by Resistance and Fear. I've played all of those series so might as well give this one a go anyway
@Tharsman Thanks. That's a lot of information! I'll give it a go then and let you know whether I can get on with ps4 still. Raids are interesting, I've never managed to play an MMO long enough to be part of them.
Another Squid Game reference, huh? Anyway, are these at all comparable to say Metro or Killzone? I've only really heard that they are FPS games that had insane graphics that no one could play.
@Tharsman And do you mean that that 1-60 content is no longer available or you just have to keep paying for the game from there on to even play that part?
@Arisen I personally love Battlefront 2. I never played the first, though. You could see Fallen Order was single player focused, though. Not the small campaign delivered in Battlefront 2. I'm not sure on Avengers, but this definitely looks like a campaign focused game to me.
@thefourfoldroot Yeah, gonna be difficult for that to work in SR. Looks are easy. I think before that they had different V/As and that somewhat changed their tone and how aggressive they sounded but there wasn't much choice on how you resolved things. I remember you can blow up a building or use it for your gang and things like that.
Oh and since I've experienced a demanding game like Genshin I very much doubt I'd catch up in this one. I feel I can just about catch up in Genshin by putting in a lot of time.
I got a free month in this but was ridiculously busy, just moved out with my mate, had a new job, was meeting a lot of new people who I only see rarely now. I put the game on once and both times ended up staying in the starting area for like 2 hours before turning it off as I either had to clean up or ended up just talking to people and then hanging out. If they had offered me that trial a year before or after I would have given it a real shot. However, this was the ps3 version, as well.
Lol I love Sword Art. Cheered me right up watching it when I had a rough patch before. However, this is sucky. Even if I had Tales I would skip here, you need story for these kinda things. I remember the FFXV missions added in from Terra Wars and FFXIV crossovers (for free) all had stories/fights and exploration. I guess Square Enix had the luxury of outright owning both IPs where as Bandai probably only have a contract, they probably got it cheaply or even in the contract between them and whoever has rights to the SAO property.
@Flaming_Kaiser Yeah, same here. My mate will play for like an hour tops if he comes round and that'll be now and then anyway. So, it will probably just sit there for me. Will wait for my son to get old enough to get good at games. Haha
Hoping for any of these: No Man's Sky Beyond Hitman 3 Iron Man Until Dawn Rush of Blood (make up for the flop of this months offerings) Doom 3 Wolfenstein cyberpilot Raw Data Sprint Vector Xing Land Beyond Falcon Age Ghost Giant Sairento Battlewake Shadow Legend
I've been buying many that have went on sale so I've got like 40 of the better titles now including the ones given out before. I bet RE 7 will be one, though since its in the plus collection.
@YETi Yeah. Absolute fail. Rec room is free so it makes sense. Also, other than the small alien segment of VR Worlds I never went back for anything in that one.
@thefourfoldroot You do make a valid point that a lot of games do usually use extremes and generic characteristics almost to the point of satire sometimes. I suppose if they have big casts and other high production costs we will usually lose out on deep and realistic characters. I think Saints Row has usually sold itself on stereo types, though.
Saw most of this in the leak here: https://pomf2.lain.la/f/hkqjflm.mp4 It's got some pretty bad language by some salty dude and an annoying watermark, though.
It doesn't bother me when they have tutorials for basic movement. Usually in modern games the game will pause until you have done the action it instructs you to do. Then with more technical moves you have to do them something like 5 times. It's actually useful when things get complicated to have to actually nail it, so then you know you're doing it right.
@Arisen But it does mean Square Enix could have negotiated to push mtx with in an update or something. Though, this does seem more like a single player game and realistically they don't really work well with MTX. I saw some in Far Cry 5 single player and it was only the cosmetic stuff that you really needed to fork put for, unless grinding fishing for hours. I'm somewhat optimistic about this game, anyway
Looks pretty bland. I played Digital Devil Saga back in the ps2 days and found it so boring personally. I was always much more of a Final Fantasy guy. Though I did enjoy what I played of Devil Summoner the Soulless Army, had decent rpg gameplay, monster summoning and an interesting and quirky cast. Also the environments weren't gray, boring nonsense like the other game.
@Shinnok789 Was having trouble remembering anything but shooting arrows at animals and the ending/start of 3 but I do remember that mission now you mention it.
Honestly, it's not a bad game. They just should have rethought the combat. The only thing I like about it was the psi/mutant powers. The rest felt like a bad attempt at a DMC combat system. I'll get round to playing through it eventually, but will probably start again and focus on guns next time.
I remember when CTR added mtx. We saw it coming, with all the seasonal cosmetics, but at least they didn't nerf how many in game currency you earned first haha What a dumb move. They should have just nerfed it from the beginning if they were going to do this.
@sentiententity I still have a bunch of those hacks on my Wii. Kamek's Island was one of the ones I recall. There was one that also used a sonic song and had metal bowser as the boss. The last levels basically required cheats, though so just put constant invincible to finish it haha The rest of the game felt like a straight add on/sequel to SMW, though.
@JRJ3 You going to master the Velo trials after? I was lucky enough to plat the game in a week cause I had the Switch version, but 12 months on from buying the ps4 version I still can't be bothered to do Oxide's Ginegerbread Joyride ghost and most Velo ones.
Was playing Genshin Impact and Final Fantasy VII Remake (all extra dlc summons and items) this week but did the second level of Contagion Outbreak VR last night... And oh my days, it is terrible. Regret purchase indeed. Though, I am one level away from the platinum and one more after that to complete the game entirely if I can be bothered to get my £6 (sale) worth. Yes, there are 4 levels. I won the first 2 endings through bugs that just happened during the boss/hard parts. It's hilarious and bad.

@Cherip-the-Ripper Ahh fair. I think I'll get the trilogy, anyway as I'venever played any of them. Thanks for letting me know, though!

@Nekomichu Yes. Got the download, 43 or so gb. Says free trial at the end. Think my friend is downloading tomorrow so will start then.

Re: Talking Point: What PS Plus Games for November 2021 Do You Want?
Other than the VR games I mentioned i the other article, just anything better than this months flat screen games for the other 2. Lol

@Telekill Nope, but I'd love for Moss Book 2 to be out in November!

Re: Final Fantasy XIV Is Now the Most Profitable Game in the Entire Series, Surpasses 24 Million Players
@Tharsman So I could take as long as I want to 100% that first part? Then when everything is done I could move on to a sub and do the added parts?

@Flaming_Kaiser Yeah, no doubt I'll have to go through Lego Avengers and all of that first, though.
Yeah. I bet they are fun, but currently online is all I play. I'm more likely to convince guests to try Playroom VR tbh just because of the VR quirk.
