Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 380

Just finished up PS4 Ratchet and Clank last night and really enjoyed it. Will eventually pick up the new one whenever that elusive PS5 comes my way. Today trying to wrap up Kingdom Come Deliverance which I've been playing since day 1. Yeah I have a bad habit of not finishing games before I start a new one lol

After finishing RE8 then RE4 I'm once again attempting to play RE6 and wow it's just as bad as I remember. Started with Leons campaign and it's been a roundhouse fest so far. Have been a huge RE fan since the first game and this is the only main entry I haven't finished. I'm gonna try my best to finally suffer through it

Should be finishing up my current playthrough of RE4 and continuing on with Biomutant at about 15 hours right now. I don't know what it is but I find the game quite charming. It doesn't do anything particular great but it gives me old school vibes and a sense of nostalgia playing it. Definitely should have been a $40 game at most though.

Finished RE8 last night and enjoyed it quite a bit. Will be interesting to see where the story goes from there. The setting made me want to start a new playthrough of RE4 and about 2 hours in so far. I just realized the one and only time I've ever played through it was at release on GameCube. Also making my way through ME1 as a renegade this time

Re: Talking Point: What's Next for Cyberpunk 2077, and the State of the Game on PS5, PS4

Grumps859

I picked it back up and continued playing after the update and absolutely loved it. Still some jank here and there but I had no major issues on PS4 Pro. Immediately started up a new game after the credits rolled. It's definitely not perfect and it can't hold a light to Witcher 3 in my opinion but I still very much enjoyed it none the less. Another year in the oven would have made a world of difference though and CDPR would looked a whole lot better in the long run

Re: Soon, You Won't Be Able to Buy These Awesome PS1 Games

Grumps859

Playing through Silent Hill again on PS3 and I just really hate the fact that these games will become even harder to play for future gamers. The thing that I don't understand is if you can still log on and redownload why couldn't they also keep the option to purchase. You have to authenticate your previous purchase so it seems this would be doable.

Re: PS3, PS Vita, and PSP Online Stores to Close This Summer, Says New Report

Grumps859

I really hope they at least leave the ability to redownload our purchased games. That would be a bad move on Sony if they take that away. I still regular play ps3 and Vita. Actually just purchased 3 games last week for them. RE Directors Cut, MGS 2 and Silent Hill Origins. There's several more I'd like to pick up as well. Really hope this isn't true

Re: This Is Why PS5 Controllers Drift

Grumps859

I have an issue with my original DS4 where the left stick wants to stutter as you're moving. It's very noticeable in TLOU2 which is how I first realized something was wrong. Joycon drift though is on a whole other level. I have 2 sets and they were all doing it which is especially frustrating in the last lap of Mario Kart. Sent them in to Nintendo and they repaired them. No issues anymore

Re: NieR Replicant Looks Sharp in 9 Minutes of Uncut PS4 Gameplay

Grumps859

@Royalblues Not like that at all it's almost like it makes those 5 playthroughs (A, B, C, D, E endings) into one longer game. It adds so much to the story and characters and in my opinion it doesn't waste your time at all. Also they aren't all the same playtime so it's not near as bad as it sounds.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 361

Grumps859

@NYJetsfan123 I was late to the TLOU2 party myself and I honestly feel like it's one of the best games I've ever played. And this is from someone who was so mad at the leaks they cancelled their preorder. High 20s is about right. As soon as I was finished I went back to each chapter grabbing all the stuff I missed. I can't remember a game hitting me like that ever. And to me the ending makes perfect sense after thinking on it.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 361

Finished up The Evil Within 2 last night and I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Starts out kinda meh but quickly turns out all sorts of crazy. I'm hoping for a part 3 although not sure that will ever happen. Ghostwire Tokyo just doesn't look as appealing to me. Today working on finishing up Days Gone which I've been playing off and on since it released. It has really picked up steam as it gets close to the end. Bend did a pretty good job with this would definitely play a sequel.

Re: Poll: Do You Have a PS5?

Grumps859

In no hurry at this point to pick one up. Other than Demon's Souls which I already have on PS3 there's nothing on it that my PS4 Pro can't play. Sure the games would look better and have a better framerate on PS5 but that's not a huge deal to me. Bloodborne is when I finally got a PS4 so I'll wait for something must have to come along.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 358

Grumps859

After being completely uninterested after the leaks I'm now around 20 hours into The Last of Us 2 and I can say I was completely wrong and wish I would have played it sooner. While I still don't agree with every story decision the overall presentation is right up there with the best of the best. Ghost of Tsushima was my favorite game of 2020 but I'm thinking by the end of this first playthrough that may change

Re: Soapbox: Rainbow Six: Siege Is My Favorite Shooter of All Time and I Hate It

Grumps859

I've never understand the enjoyment of cheating. It really seems pointless to go out if your way to trick people into thinking you're better at something. Is clout really that important to people? I pretty much play offline single player but have recently started playing Rocket league and it is great. The only issue I see is people love to quit the match as soon as their team starts losing. I don't see the point in doing that. Seems like very poor sportsmanship. Stick it out and learn from your mistakes and get better. And most importantly have fun. With all the craziness in our world having fun should be number 1 on the list

Re: Game of the Year: Video Liam's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2020

Grumps859

Absolutely agree Ghost of Tsushima is incredible. Was definitely not expecting it to be my favorite game of 2020 before starting it. That opening scene sets up an amazing story. I also think they did right with the characters and side quests. I never once felt like I was wasting my time which is usually my biggest gripe.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 355

Grumps859

Have been stuck in quarantine for the last week with just my Switch and I've been hooked on Paper Mario The Origami King. Had no idea I would enjoy this so much. Also finishing up Link's Awakening. Finally be able to get back to the living room where the other systems are I'll be picking back up with Cyberpunk, Yakuza Like a Dragon and Valhalla once again

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Aiming to Be a 'Playable, Stable Game without Glitches and Crashes'

Grumps859

While I really haven't had any issues to speak of on PS4 Pro it is bad for those who have and continue to have issues. This might be my most anticipated game ever simply based on how much I love Witcher 3 but even I can see this ain't what we were promised. I have no doubt that they will fix the majority of these bugs. I recall playing Witcher 3 on a base PS4 on launch day and had several issues. With all that Witcher money though you'd think they could have done a better job at managing not only the game but the fans expectations. Only showing us high end footage of this didn't help at all

Re: Sony Processing Cyberpunk 2077 Refunds for PS5, PS4 Players

Grumps859

Have been very fortunate myself about 6 hours in and absolutely loving it. PS4 Pro with only a few weird graphical issues. Hopefully it gets sorted out for those wanting to play and are unable to. Just gonna go ahead and say it that when Johnny Silverhand makes his entrance oh man it's incredible.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 (PS4) - The Potential of a Masterpiece, Totally and Utterly Unrealised

Grumps859

I don't think this would have lived up to the amount of hype no matter if it was mostly bug free. It was never going to look as good as some of the previews had shown especially on console. I tried my best to keep my expectations in check but that's hard to do no doubt. I'm playing on PS4 Pro and really haven't had any major issues aside from a few graphical issues and some pop in. About 6 hours in and absolutely loving it so far. I do hope they can get these issues sorted out so everyone can enjoy it.

Re: Poll: Are You Buying Cyberpunk 2077?

Grumps859

Had no clue who CDPR was until Witcher 3 came out and that has become my favorite game ever slightly ahead of A Link to The Past and Final Fantasy 6. Probably the most hyped I've ever been for a game. I'm sure there's going to be bugs and if it's handled like they did Witcher 3 it'll get sorted out. That 101 GB download is sitting there ready for tomorrow at Midnight. PS4 Pro will be sounding like a jet engine guaranteed. Happy gaming to all no matter what you'll be playing
