To me the biggest thing not being discussed is they have completely eliminated the second hand market for GTA6. You can’t loan it to a friend or borrow it from the Library or trade it in. At least with the way Crimson Desert handled its physical release you had the option to do that. It won’t fit on 1 disc and it may not even fit on 2 so it’s obvious that a download is needed. At least they could have given a disc that unlocks the game at release and allows the game to be downloaded and ready.

I was excited when it said Xbox console exclusive thinking back to the competitive days of PS3 and 360 then the next 20 games are also coming to PS5. I was a Gears fan and was never into Halo but this is not a system seller. Clockwork Revolution looks great and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it but it’s not a system seller. Either go all in or make everything multi platform. I’m all for Xbox going out on their own and being exclusive but I don’t think this is going to work like they think

That’s a huge plus imo. Still probably won’t be picking it up for a while. Dawnwalker should keep me busy for a while then Trails SC. September is absolutely stacked

A Lords of the Fallen 2 release date or demo would be great

Would love to see the Xbox brand mean something more than it has this generation. Competition drives innovation and the industry needs that

Got this 2 days ago and about 10 hours in so far and it’s fantastic. It does such a great job of making you want to do just one more thing and then before you know it hours have went by and you’re exploring in a totally different area. It’s gonna be hard to top this for my game of the year. RE9 was fine but that’s all it was for me. Lords of The Fallen 2 and Blood of Dawnwalker have been my most anticipated games along with Trails in the Sky SC. No interest at all in GTA 6 although it will hands down win for the majority of people

@TheBeardiest absolutely agree and hope we get a sequel. The music and atmosphere were so well done

@Drax007 pretty much agree with you there. I think last year that E33 was the best overall game I played but I had the most fun dying repeatedly in Khazan and this is terrible news. The combat is so satisfying and the story is great it just needed to be fleshed out a bit more.

Being older and having more disposable income so being able to afford $1000 isn’t the issue. For me there still isn’t a reason to upgrade with such diminishing returns on the technology. There’s still so much untapped potential for this generation. The backlog is bigger than ever with years worth of good games to play so I’m not that worried about not being able to game

I really enjoyed my time with it but my favorite part was first person as Grace during the early parts of the game. I’d say an 8 for me and definitely looking forward to seeing more of the story

Sony are the only ones that can mess up the PS6 and as a PlayStation owner since 1996 it’s frustrating seeing the choices that have been made this generation. Less trend chasing and a more focused approach to what they have always been good at would be a great start.

44 and have been playing since the beginning. It’s crazy to think that 30 years later we would still be here getting a game of this quality.

I’m a firm believer in console exclusive titles. The industry needs competition and history has showed us that nothing brought out the best in these companies like battling it out with their rival. SNES vs Genesis or PS3 vs Xbox 360 were exciting times because these companies couldn’t let up. Xbox One really fell flat out of the gate and it got even worse for the Series consoles. PlayStation was coasting during the PS4 but they’ve lost track during this push for live service and without Xbox to really drive competition it has hurt this generation of gaming.

I told them what I thought. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined…

Octopath Traveller 2 on the Portal and Trails in the Sky SC on Vita. Itching to get to the Crossbell games next as I continue my Trails Journey

I got one as a Christmas present and I absolutely love. It has reignited my love of JRPGs. Already played through Persona 3 Reload and finished up Trails in the Sky First Chapter last night. Highly recommended

Final Fantasy VII REGRET I think they’re feeling a bit of that with some of the design choices. I really enjoyed Remake but I enjoyed Rebirth a lot less. The unnecessary padding of the story really brought the fun factor down for me. And the Cait Sith section was so bad.

I feel like they really need to take a step back and stop trying to go all in on the AAAA market and create more focused titles instead of chasing trends. They’ve proven that they struggle trying to make big budget titles. Sure they gather hype but upon release they don’t hold up and the sales really fall off quick.

@DiVaGamer83 same here although this has kinda made me want to get back to P5 at some point. I bought it day one and got burnt out at some point and then they release the Royal edition. I didn’t realize it but that’s an Atlus thing lol. I ended up picking up the P3 dlc on sale for maybe $10 a week or so ago so I’m all in for less than $30 and it is well worth it. I tried out the Persona 3 Reload demo a few weeks ago and it absolutely hooked me so I grabbed a physical copy from Amazon for $18 and I’m 50 hours in now. As a man in his mid 40s I’m definitely not the target demographic but I am having a blast and look forward to Persona 4 Revival

I would absolutely put Cronos The New Dawn on the list. If not for Expedition 33 it would get my vote

I absolutely loved this game. The sound and atmosphere were top notch. I really struggled with this game at first. I’m so glad I didn’t have the choice to change the difficulty because I know myself and I would have put it on easy. By sticking with it and adapting it really made it a worthwhile experience. I do see the reason they are and am glad for anybody that will be picking this up. Cheers to Bloober and hopefully they will be making a sequel or expansion

@twitchtvpat I think time has improved people’s opinion of Days Gone and at least they could have had something to show for all this time instead of a live service game that was cancelled

We could have had Days Gone 2 by now instead of nothing…

I think E33 will win and I’m ok with that because it really was a great game. My most enjoyable game this year though has been Cronos The New Dawn. That game nails exactly what it sets out to be. The sound design and music are so good.

Cronos for me such an awesome game. It is difficult and does not play around but progressing feels great. Also the music is on another level so perfect for the setting

I thought it was fantastic. I knew it was going to be a narrative focused game without all the open world fluff and story padding. I was not disappointed

This just moved up to my moat anticipated game absolutely cannot wait. I started LoTF 2023 right before the 2.0 update and it quickly became my favorite Soulslike. Really unfortunate that it had so many problems at launch.

Will be finishing Black Myth Wukong then straight into Wuchang Fallen Feathers when it releases next week. A bit of Stalker 2 thrown in as well

@Perturbator I enjoyed Elex 2 so much despite all it's jank. I actually think that's part of the charm. Doesn't look like we'll ever get a part 3

Picked up a PS5 physical copy of Diablo 4 at GameStop a few months ago for $10. Still haven't played it but now I'll just keep that one sealed and play the digital copy

Just finished up with Khazan. This and Wuchang Fallen Feathers are next on my list to play

The only other game I've played so far that came out this year is AC Shadows and it's just kinda blah in a lot of ways. The graphics are pretty great but the characters and story just don't land in my opinion. I went back and started Rise of the Ronin and I'm having way more fun with it even though it has it's own issues.

Still looking forward to trying Wuchang Fallen Feathers, Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding.

@Oram77 That was my biggest issue with 16. It started out so strong up until the end of the demo. From there though it was an absolute slog at times. If you could streamline the experience and get rid of all the padding it would be a pretty good game overall.

Pretty sure Indiana Jones was less than a GB on the Series X when I installed it. This is disappointing but not at all unexpected

@djlard I bought the disc version for Xbox and it requires the full game be downloaded. Basically a license file is all that's on the disc. Disappointing but these are the times we live in unfortunately

@Romans12 I think the combat is incredibly fun and rewarding even though I'm not the greatest. You can absolutely get destroyed ny some random situations you find yourself in so always be prepared. What I do is I'll randomly make an exit save then reload back into the game which takes maybe 10 seconds. I'd much rather do that than lose a lot of progress.

Just finish Deacon's story and give the people what they want. Also let Bluepoint work on the PS5 Bloodborne remaster. Both would be profitable and would be a sign of listening to the fans. Sony needs to stop thinking they're invincible

Lies of P DLC news would be great

It needed more tight focus on the main story and less of the absolutely boring so called side quests. It could have went from just ok to great. It was a slog just to finish it. This, Remake and Rebirth all have the same problem with time wasting side quests and filler in my opinion. That's the biggest mistake of any game is wasting my time.

Out of town with the family and brought along the Vita. Finally started Xenogears after all these years and after 10 hours I'm enjoying my time very much.

Started Resident Evil Zero this morning. Haven't played it since it released on GameCube and I'm having quite a bit of fun with it. The only negative to me is no item box so I've got random crap scattered everywhere. Next it'll be RE Remake as I make my way through the series throughout the year. Happy Gaming Everyone
