Intruiged to give it a try but my kids went off Fortnite earlier this year, so I deleted it to make space. Don't know if I can be bothered redownloading it...
I feel like we've had plenty worse months than this one, I don't get it.
@Gaia093 "The EA sports game is an EA sports game. Enough said" - I have to object here, not enough said! It's an existing Codemasters property (Dirt Rally) that EA took under their banner amd changed the name, but nothing else. It's the latest in a brilliant series of games and definitely more rewarding than FIFA and the like. A truly great game if you have a bit of time (and patience) to let it get its hooks into you!
It would be doable, but you'd need a darker narrative in the vein of GTA IV. They'd have to wind back the humour, and sometimes I feel like that's a bit of a safety net for them, as much as I love the GTA series
I try to, but it always seems to be a busy time of year. I started Crow Country the other day but had to turn it off before I'd even got to the first save point. I need to get better at setting my own leisure time aside
I like the idea but it might have meant the story wasn't half as impactful. Without wanting to go into spoiler territory, it wouldn't have hit so hard in the gut, surely
It can't be a bad machine, we've seen Yotei running on it. But by the same token, all these developers can't be "lazy".
It reminds me of the Sega Saturn, in that a console manufacturer who has enjoyed years of success gets a bit carried away and builds a machine that's too hard for developers to work with.
I'm not saying Sony is at the same point Sega was then, but I think they need to be very careful going into next gen, and remember what put them on top of the pile in the first place. The PS1 was a success because developers could get their heads around it so easily.
But where's the option in the vote for "When I'm out in the field shooting things I'll play in first-person, but while I'm exploring settlements and stuff, I'll use third-person so I can see how natty my character looks strolling around town"
I admit that answer is quite long compared to the others.
My nephew is into this. He asked me to watch it with him the other day, but he was already halfway through, so I had no idea what was going on. It was pretty trippy if I'm honest
EDIT I've just realised this reads like a senile person's film review
All depends on the backlog. With Shinobi to finish, Silksong, Still Wakes the Deep and Sui II remaster still on my list to play, I'm not going to get to Ghost of Yotei at release unless it jumps the queue. So that might push Nioh 3 back.
Loved 1, 2 and the Pre-sequel. But after 3, I can't chance going back to the series, just in case. There's no way I can risk anything that unfunny in my life ever again, it was almost painful

Re: GTA London Will Remain a One-Off, as the Series Needs Guns and American Culture, Says Dan Houser
@Stocksy Fair point. The cast list would almost write itself as well
Re: Mini Review: Once Upon a Katamari (PS5) - An Eccentric, Joyful Time Capsule
"Can be a bit dialogue heavy"
Lol you just know it's going to be absolutely bonkers dialogue as well.
Thanks for the review, I'm looking forward to playing this at some point.

Too right, get them working young. My nephew is carving me a new storage unit as we speak
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for November 2025?
I've played Stray and WRC. Both great games. So it's a good month if I ever plan to replay them. Otherwise, on with the backlog
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 605
Today: Suikoden II and Sniper Elite
Tonight: belated Halloween party with a bottle of rum
Tomorrow: reconsider my life choices
Re: Retro Mario Kart Rival Races to PS5, PS4 in Street Racer Collection
"Some critics even said the SNES version was better than Super Mario Kart"
The nineties were a wild time. Lots of drugs.
Re: Poll: Do You Play Horror Games Around Halloween?
I try to, but it always seems to be a busy time of year. I started Crow Country the other day but had to turn it off before I'd even got to the first save point. I need to get better at setting my own leisure time aside
Re: Poll: Are You Playing The Outer Worlds 2?
I'll play it at some point, but if I'm splashing out on a new game, it'll be Yotei because I've not got to that yet.
It doesn't make sense for me to buy this game at launch unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed the first one
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for November 2025 Announced
WRC is a superb game. Stray is great too, just an odd choice given it launched on Plus. Good for those that missed it though.
This is the best month for fans of cats and cars since we got Gran Purrismo
(sorry)

Re: PlayStation Is Trying to Scrub Any Mention of Its Failed Concerts from the Internet
They're trying to orchestrate a cover up
Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5?
I don't even know what my next game is going to be yet. Don't be asking me about 2026
Re: First PS Plus Essential Game for November 2025 Leaked
Yeah great game. Played it to platinum so I'm not sure I'll play it again but it's good to have.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 604
I might start Crow Country this weekend, to "celebrate" the clocks going back and get myself in the mood for Halloween

That "I don't have PS Premium" response is creeping higher and higher each month...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 603
Bought Parcel Corps on a whim this morning when I saw it was £3.99.
So that, plus Suikoden II and Sniper Elite Resistance. Should be a good weekend
Re: The Final Guest Character in Shinobi: Art of Vengeance's Villain DLC Has Been Revealed
Nice addition. Does anyone know if they have their own levels, or is it just boss fights? Tempted to dive in if it's the former
Re: 'People Are Really Going to Want This': The Outer Worlds 2 Dev on the RPG's New Third-Person Mode
This is an excellent addition.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 602
Just got my castle in Suikoden II. Also been digging out the Spyro remastered trilogy. So it's very much a PS One vibe this weekend
Re: Nifty New PS5 Merch Spotlights Some of Sony's Most Beloved Brands
I'll have to go a long way for a Walmart. But at least I'll have some nice clips for my bag on the trip back
Re: First PS Plus Extra Game for October 2025 Leaked
This feels a bit too good to be true, I'm going to wait for confirmation on that one amd try not to get too excited...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 601
Suikoden II mainly, with a bit of Sniper Elite sprinkled in here and there, just to keep it real you know?
Re: Don't Be Like This GTA 6 'Fan' Who Flew to Scotland Just to Harass Rockstar Staff
Rockstar spoofed content creators like this in GTA V. Presumably that went over this guy's head.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for October 2025?
Cocoon has been sat on my wishlist in the PS Store for ages. Looking forward to it
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 600
Shinobi Art of Vengeance is done, although I might keep coming back for a crack at the boss rush.
Suikoden II remaster next, one of my favourite games ever. I'm looking forward to taking my time with this as the nights draw in.
Happy 600 and have a nice weekend everybody.
Re: Publisher EA Poised to Go Private as 'Advanced Talks' of $50 Billion Buyout Emerge
Looking forward to the new Manager Career mode in the next FIFA.
No more awkward questions at those pesky press conferences.

It's a good problem to have!
EDIT oh yeah and Crow Country for Halloween
Re: Silent Hill F (PS5) - Brutal Survival Horror Walks a New Path
@LiamCroft Cheers for the review!
I've got a quick question - why is it called Silent Hill F?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 599
Still plugging away at Shinobi, I think the next level is the final one. This game is excellent
Re: Sony's Still Not Doing Anything with Bloodborne, It's Claimed
@ButWhy maybe for the first ten minutes. But then you just get used to it and it's fine
I'm not saying it's buttery smooth but come on, it's not exactly a hardship
Re: Sony's Still Not Doing Anything with Bloodborne, It's Claimed
Sony could have had Bluepoint working on it all this time. But I kind of like that Bloodborne was a one-and-done thing.
They don't massively need to revisit it. The game is still playable and still brilliant.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for September 2025?
Only Crow Country for me, although that justifies this month's asking price I guess. I'll be playing it for Halloween if I can fit it in
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 598
Probably about halfway through Shinobi. It's a game to be savoured
Re: Add Sapporo Beer's Iconic Logo to Atsu's Arsenal in Ghost of Yotei

I can barely tell their stories apart, they're so similar
Re: Rare PS5 DualSense Controller Worth $1,300 'Completely Destroyed' in Transit

Re: Rare PS5 DualSense Controller Worth $1,300 'Completely Destroyed' in Transit
I'm not familiar with PostNL, are Nintendo Life doing deliveries now? If so, this blatant attack is a new low in the console war
Re: Round Up: Borderlands 4 Reviews All on PC, No PS5 Verdicts Anywhere
Good to see the staff at Radio Times getting stuck into some shooting and looting
Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS1 at Launch?
I got one around mid-gen after my mate went away to Hong Kong for two weeks and lent me his to look after.
Best memories? Silent Hill, MGS, those Net Yaroze games, Suikoden, Worms... and those glorious game boxes, like CD cases on steroids
Re: 8 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for September 2025 Announced
Crow Country is a good Halloween add
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Difficulty to Be Toned Down Following Player Feedback
I can't wait to complete the game on this new difficulty and then tell everyone I platinumed it on release day
Re: Rumour: PS6 Will Have a Detachable Disc Drive, Much Simpler Design
Hopefully this doesn't mean Sony detach the disc drive before they sell the console
