Update []: After discovering the PS5 Trophy list for the Riven remake a little while back, it now turns out the Myst remake is also on its way to Sony's console.
On PSNProfiles, you can find the Trophy sets for the Myst and Riven remakes, essentially confirming that they're coming to PS5 in the near future.
These games are stone cold classics of the first-person puzzle genre.
Developed by Cyan Worlds, these are enigmatic and mysterious puzzle adventures in which you explore surreal environments and piece together their unusual stories.
The remakes bring back these iconic titles with revamped visuals and modernised gameplay.
There's currently no information about when these games will arrive on PS5, but given the Trophy lists are showing up, it's fair to assume they aren't far off at all.

Original Story: It looks as though the remake of Riven is due to release imminently on PS5.
The game is a classic first-person puzzle adventure that first released in 1997, but in 2024, developer Cyan Worlds released a full blown remake on PC. Now, it appears it'll be making its debut on consoles in due course.
As reported by Gematsu, this news comes via a Trophy list appearing on Exophase, with artwork for the trinkets matching those of the remake's Steam achievements.
There are 35 Trophies in total, including the platinum.
The original Riven (and its predecessor, Myst) are both available on PS Store as PS1 classics, but this modern version makes big changes.
As well as dramatically updating the graphics, the world is a real-time, 3D environment you can navigate freely, while the original is all pre-rendered visuals and moving to predefined spots.
We imagine an official announcement must be close if the Trophy list is showing up.

I think I still have the PS1 version in the back of a press somewhere. Never did get around to finishing it.

I tried playing the PS1 versions of Myst and Riven but they just didn’t click. Hopefully the Myst remake comes over, too!

Already have this on Mac. Riven is one of the best games of all time. If you like Blue Prince or the Witness, don't sleep on it!

Played the original on PC when it launched back in the day. I was but a small boy, yet I remember the imagery and sound from this game with much fondness. The first real "isolated atmosphere" game I've ever played at the time and I was absolutely hypnotized by it 🤩 Seeing the first trailer for the remake in 2024 gave me genuine chills, but I unfortunately didn't have a PC. Can't wait for the console release! 😬
I remember trying to play this as a kid but not really getting it at the time. I'll definitely pick it up now that I'm slightly older and slightly wiser.. maybe I can actually complete it.
I'm surprised it isn't mentioned in the article, but the guys who made this have another game already on PS5 called Firmament. I haven't played it yet myself, but it looks to be very similar to Riven and Myst, and looks gorgeous in the screenshots.
Like some others above, I played Myst back in the day but was too young for it. Definitely up for this.
I'd really appreciate a Myst/Riven remake double pack, not sure why they'd only bring the second game over

One of my favorite games. The thrill of being told to swap the CD because I’d accessed a new area was was almost too much for me.
A big part of the reason I bought PSVR2–at a deep discount—was the announcement that Firmament was going to come to the platform. Then it came out and reviews panned the performance. I’d like to see the VR versions of Myst and Riven, if they’re in a playable state.

Tried the PS1 port on PS5 and couldn't make it, so hoping this remake runs well enough. The loading pause after every click and super low resolution were too much, and I can usually appreciate a downgraded port's quirks.

Never played the original Myst or Riven. Pre-rendered visuals and moving to predefined spots: this reminds me of Return to Mysterious Island games which I greatly enjoyed. Can't wait to try the new Myst & Riven.

I know it's crazy talk, but it would be neat if they put both games on a single, physical disc.
