Where's the option for:

"I like Borderlands and am always willing to give a new game a shot, but the third one was absolute bobbins and made me want to shove razor blades under my fingernails just to take my mind off the writing, so now I'm a bit wary"

Feel free to change the wording on that.

Good wholesome nazi-testicle-popping laughs in Sniper Elite Resistance, punctuated with bouts of the cerebral Disco Elysium. I feel like I've achieved a nice life balance.

@Kraven Suikoden II improves on the formula in every way, but the first game certainly has its own feel. They share quite a few characters so it's best just to see them as two parts of a bigger journey. Enjoy!

Re: Intergalactic PS5 Game All About Faith, Religion, and 'Being Lonely'

Faith, religion and loneliness have been the main themes of many great sci-fi films. I believe gaming is an equally valid medium to film, but we need big themes to prove that.

Not all games of course, there's still room for fun. But otherwise we'll eternally be seen as sweaty lumps playing CoD in a darkened room, eating Pringles and ogling Lara Croft's boobs. And personally I only enjoy one of those things.

I wish they'd gone a bit further - parity between menus/systems as mentioned in the review, iron out some translation wrinkles, maybe add the Saturn content to Sui I (although that might not be easy from a developer point of view).

But I shouldn't complain. I'm still looking forward to playing through these again at some point.

@Migoshuro I agree to an extent. The new backgrounds jar a little with the sprites and possibly lose some of the character. I'm hoping it will look better when I'm playing it and I'll soon get used to it

@johncalmc Definitely play Sui II if you can find time for it! Properly great game

@nessisonett Happy to be of service

@ErrantRob It's good fun and a completely different way of playing because you need to get in close.

I've gone dex and bleed, more of a swift, Muhammad Ali character. My mate is planning on a Mike Tyson-style strength version so we can co-op. I guess another option would be to get the martial-arts weapons from the DLC areas and go Conor McGregor kickboxer!

Nightreign if I can get it to work. I tried Friday's but the matchmaking wasn't having any of it.

Being in the Roundtable Hold made me want to play Elden Ring again, so I've got back into that. Running a boxer build, fist weapons and leg armour only. Add in the Bloodhound Step and I'm floating like a butterfly, stinging like a bee.

Re: Would You Pay $100 for GTA 6?

I kind of see the argument from a developer's point of view, games are requiring more and more resources to make these days. But I don't think I could ever stump up three figures for a computer game.

Besides, Rockstar is the last company that needs to make more money

Re: Shuhei Yoshida on PSVR2: 'I'm Sorry'

It was typical of Sony this gen, simply roll it out while cockily assuming it'll be a success, without a proper marketing and pricing strategy. I'm sure it's a great bit of kit (not got one myself) but where was the plan for market?

This is how companies get when the competition fades, everyone wishing for the failure of Microsoft should look at the current state of Sony, from an outward facing point of view.
