@LiamCroft @RBMango to me is a given it's coming back, the worse was Ratchet and Clank since it blocked the movie scenes (for I guess obvious reasons).
But imagine TLoU 2 or other games with big spoilers in their main story, I do believe is fine to block capturing those scenes at least for a year or some months. Not sure how it works on streaming but it does sound absurd if it blocks viewing...

@get2sammyb once seen it cannot be unseen, there's no such thing as "cats aside" and not that I needed another reason to get the game but yes...

Put me down to I’m keeping my PS4 so unless there are any new additions to the experience (Ghost of Tsushima) I’m not using backwards compatibility

Didn't see the price (silly) although now we can buy the games we own from PS Plus, and since we got Resogun (unless I'm mistaken) for PS4, I'm kind of expecting a game that could be fun and probably showcase some if not all of the new capabilities of the console
@thefourfoldroot I do agree with that rationale, but there's the Resogun example. Most likely scenario we get nothing from PS Plus for the PS5 until January, after all we'll get 20 PS4 classics to play

I always thought this one was a candidate to get the honor of being the first PS Plus game on the PS5 a la Resogun or maybe it'll be bugsnaxx

I sure hope the save file on this one is transferrable

when I think I own all of the fallout games plus skyrim and maybe have played 3 hours total combined I'll be fine. I will miss their FPS more than their WRPG
however, for the general ps5 consumer this is bad news if the titles become xbox exclusive (do wonder if they'll try to release on ps5 like two years later or so, they'll still have the console sales and will get more money on their software)

A shame about the whole economic side of this game. I bet as a free to play or on a 20 to 40€ price it would have done well and recover with the microtransactions...
For 30€ as a multiplayer launch title it would have a better opportunity to suceed

Maybe this and Miles Morales are my PS5 games at launch (if I can get a PS5)

So pass n play mode is basically how me and my brothers played the original crash games but with a fancy name sticked to it

If I was going to lose a big chunk of games for PS5, I'm glad is Bethesda. Would have never guessed it, but I am personally glad.
Loved the FPS but have never been a fan of these huge RPGs...

@get2sammyb my guess is like Spider-Man it was meant to be a launch title (and it may still be coming on Q1 2021) so they made a lesser version for PS4, mostly with the same engine and tech as HZD, in other words just a huge expansion.
The PS5 version will have all the bells and whistles technology wise. I don’t necessarily like the way it’s being communicated but is what I hope they’re trying to say.
The PS5 version is the real game, the PS4 version is just a huge DLC

I think is a 0,01% chance, but I'll bet on those odds... it was released before Spider-Man, I believe from some interviews that the story for sequels was pretty much in place so, and as well as Spidey, the characters are already existing as some story archs, so... why not?
If they can put something like God of War on the launch windown then is pretty much game over

So another rumor against the PS5 that's false... maybe is because I know I'm not getting an xbox but I have not seen many of that bs falling on microsoft... it just smells fishy

considering all of the articles in here about how the money is really coming from the playstation store, etc., they might give away the console and still make it out ok.
would expect to try to sell at the same price or 50€ less than the xbox, so the rumor seems coherent to me

I think overlooked is the possibility that after all this time, the release date of the PS5 has been leaked on a post about the remote control... is almost trolling

@Paranoimia by now those should be named A,B,C,D and customizable... but I guess you get paid for putting the buttons in there

So the low end next-gen console is way less expensive that the high end current-gen console.
Tells me that either the current-gen is overpriced, the next-gen console comes with a huge catch, or MS is willing to take a massive loss with the price in order to market its console.
I have the feeling this series s thing will be something most buyers will regret in 2 years

Is what it is, I have seen some people actually dominate team games to the point of winning the round basically by themselves and on the other hand I've seen others almost lose the whole thing by themselves

@Tatoun I hope is not true and to be fair I don’t follow the Xbox news at all. Have been a PlayStation player/owner since 1997 so, I don’t have too much to think about when it comes to my choice on the next generation of consoles. But all these rumors and non explained endorsements seems to be falling in favor of one console. One time is an accidents, three times is a trend. As a scientist most trends have an explanation (once again, lack of data could be one)

As I said before it seems the one investment Microsoft is making is in people to “leak” and spread rumors about apparent insufficiency of the PS5...

@StormNuken to be fair that's a rumor inside a rumor... and it's come to this for the Xbox, not much of evidence of anything and lots of rumors about perceived power of the console

It seems that the money Sony has invested on exclusives, Microsoft has been investing it on insiders

@Mittsu not sure I agree with you, I think by now we all assume the base version (or the PS4 version) of most games is playable on the PS5

this makes no sense without any extra content... I can see why they may want to lock the upgrade to the season pass, not the nicest thing considering that most games are giving free upgrades, but having the game, plus the season pass and still having you pay for the upgrade to ps5 is a bit of a middle finger

I just love how they believe the use of "pendejo" inmediately makes it a tough/badass mexican or something...
I'll play as corpo and see once again how those who actually prepared and got a job are portrayed as the bad guys

To be fair; this game feels like real life in which you'll have to make do while dealing with a lot of morons
@Loftimus as certain players are getting good at it; this kind of griefing will become an issue with the game, is sad but mankind has proven again and again that you cannot have anything nice online without a report button

@sanderson72 is the only downside, would love to play some of the games with friends on split screen, but I assume it may also bring some kind of cheating to the process

to me is a perfectly acceptable business model, each company needs to try to sell their brand and are free to do it their way.
I don't truly like when an established franchise goes exclusive or timed exclusive, but is to each developer to decide the risk to take, FF7 seems to have done ok, on the other hand Tomb Raider hurt it's brand quite well and if this continues it'll happen often. Is a gamble for game makers and Sony or MS too

so much hate for EA, not sure I agree. All EA games I have played have been fun. Rocksteady and Netherealm will probably not change at all, maybe a few paid costumes for any Rocksteady games, but not something that will affect the quality of the game.

@get2sammyb I think that if they believe they have another showing at hand with more exclusive games and features about the PS5 then they'll do just that, put the pressure on Microsoft to name a price and then adjust if needed. For now they seem to be ahead and can keep the cards close to chest

got the 10€ when first reported. If it helps determine the randomness I have playstation plus since 2013 at least and to be fair I spend money regularly on the PSstore. Bought Judgment for less than 2€

Historical PlayStation associated games have not learned the painful lesson of Tomb Raider...

As a Venezuelan the “Cuba-inspired” setting and specially the revolt scenes hit really close to home, so I will give this a go.

@ApostateMage I'm assuming you the player are the protagonist and there'll be some kind of story that will force you to use people all over the map to fulfill missions, almost like changing armors or weapons on an RPG according to the mission.
It'll be an interesting game to follow up on for sure; it'll be either groundbreaking or a cautionary tale, one way or another is an admirable risk

As a game hoarder I think it will have an effect on my purchases. Then again, I was not sure I was going to get NBA2K, but if I ever do it'll be the Mamba Edition anyway.

another interesting thing from the commets (even though is kind of public knowledge) is how the Tomb Raider brand was killed by the one year xbox exclusivity

funny thing about people complaining that it is an awful month because they have this game or the other... if you bought the game already it means they're giving away a title that you already considered good.

I loved the demo, will get it for sure, the only thing is when considering the backlog of games I have at the moment

@H4ilHydra that will be interesting to watch. To me this game looks uninteresting; so if there's a similar game from Rocksteady about the Suicide Squad both games will be forever linked.
Also; most likely scenario is that sales will be influenced by the license; so even if the SQ game is better sales may not be.

I wonder how this may affect sales. Just by the comments it seems some people will just wait for the PS5 "version or upgrade"

Maybe the hope is that you start on one console and then move your game to the next

@Facelord our first news yes; but I'm not sure we saw "footage"; maybe because I didn't care about it too much but I think it was stated that it was PS4, althought technically I cannot disagree with you.
I have never been a fan of any "replacement" heroes; Batman is Bruce Wayne; Spider-Man is Peter Parker; etc: I think Miles was introduced nicely on the first game; is clear that he's happening for the next game and in my opinion he was not dislikeable

On the other hand; Sony should be worried that for a while we all believed it, it speaks volumes on how they have been communicating
