If you've been planning on checking out Borderlands 3 any time soon, you're not going to be able to do it at a better price than this. Best Buy is currently selling the PlayStation 4 looter shooter for just $7.99 as part of its online deal of the day, so you'll have to be fast if you want to snap this one up. We awarded Borderlands 3 an 8/10 in the Push Square PS4 review, so this is a great price for what is a fantastic title.
Better yet, you'll also be eligible for a free PlayStation 5 upgrade that adds 4K, 60 frames-per-second support to the single player experience. There's also an update that will add two-player vertical split-screen to the next-gen version. That's already on top of upcoming three and four-player split-screen. Let us know in the comments below if you'll be buying Borderlands 3 at this excellent price.

Is there a similar offer for European players, or will the code work just the same?
I sure hope the save file on this one is transferrable
I'm not even really a borderlands fan and I'm going to buy this now.
That's a whole lot of game for 8 bucks, great deal!!
Just got this for £5 from Asda in the UK nationwide if you can bag one
That’s a great price! Makes me wish I still bought physical games.
I'm sorry, but I'll wait for the inevitable Switch port
That IS a tempting price however
@Gilvin i read the other day it is
Can the author pls state in his article that this deal only counts for the disk version and not digital.
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk I saw that Game were doing it for 12 quid, with the first dlc. Seems they soon sold out on ps4 though, as only the xbox versions come with the dlc now. That extra 5 quid saved with asda could go towards the season pass...
@Flow297 Isn't it obvious? The link leads to Best Buy.
@mik987 thanks!
BestBuy does sell digital games though so...
I remember the good old days when Push Square was a British site.
@LiamCroft
wow thanks for the heads up on this what a great deal. I got HZD, GoW, Spiderman, and Until Dawn during Sony's summer sale for similar prices from Best Buy. Now just waiting on that PS5 to play it all on!
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk tip of the day that pal. Just grabbed myself one to. Cheers sir!
@Weebleman no bother
This game is only one year old and it’s price has plummeted. It makes me suspicious. I saw it selling for $20 even 3-4 months ago.
Anyone in the UK still looking it's under £10 from Currys with free delivery currently, just picked it up a week or so ago.
@Th3solution I played a whole lot of Borderlands 2 on PS3 and then a whole lot more of it on PS4 when The Handsome Collection was given away via Plus but for whatever reason I couldn't get into this one.
It's too different in that I couldn't be any of the same characters I'd gotten to know over the previous game but so samey in every other respect that it just felt like a slog from the moment I started playing. That or I just outgrew its style and tone.
@zupertramp Same here. Biggest disappointment of the generation for me, and I'm a huge fan of the other games. The series has always been a bit juvenile, but this time they forgot to put actual jokes in there with the innuendos. Also, the long-standing characters feel tired, the bit-part NPCs are forgettable and the villains are awful, absolutely dreadful.
The only thing keeping me going is Zane. I don't usually go for the gunner character but he's ace.
@Gremio108 @zupertramp Thanks guys. It seems to confirm what I had heard from Colin on his podcast. I really liked BL2 also, but I might sit this one out, even with the really low price. It’s hard to go wrong for $8 but time is money too. I wouldn’t be surprised if it also ends up on PS Plus anyways at this rate.
@Th3solution You know me, I would never normally discourage anyone from playing something. But this was such a let-down. My wife and I have played through all the others in co-op (even the Pre-Sequel), and we got about three or four hours into this one before we both looked at each other and were like "yeah it's not clicking is it?"
EDIT The game, not our relationship. At least I think that's what she was talking about
It's 9.99£ on amazon.co.uk in case anyone's interested. Great if you're buying from outside of the UK
@Gremio108 lol @ your edit.
This has officially become the third physical copy of a game I've purchased this generation, and the other two were PSVR titles (one for the Aim).
I mean, going to see a bad movie at the theater (pre-COVID) costs more than this for one ticket!
Thanks guys! Just got it. Probably will wait to play it on PS5...whenever they come available next year...
I went over to Best Buy and bought it after reading the article. I am not too excited about a lot of the launch games, so having some older upgraded games is what I am looking forward to.
@zupertramp
I don't think that is true, only the PlayStation Network Store sells digital games for PlayStation.

I wasn't sure so I found the article I remembered and posted it.
I tried and tried to get into these games but I absolutely hated them all. The ‘zany’ humour was so nauseatingly unfunny and what’s with the aiming/shooting mechanics in the earlier games? I’d literally shoot someone in the head and the collision wouldn’t register about 50% of the time. Extremely overrated games in my view.
@Th3solution because while it reviewed well it’s almost identical to the other games and they failed to update the gameplay in any meaningful ways. This and Rage 2 are the worst FPS games I’ve played this generation.
@JoshuaTChandler Turns out you're right. I distinctly remembered the option to choose physical or digital but apparently that only applies to Xbox and Switch games. Lesson learned.
Still, it typically doesn't hurt to be more informative. I seriously thought they still sold digital and you had to hunt down an article to make sure so, idk, seems like that warrants the inclusion of the clarification.
I'll admit this isn't exactly the hill I want to die on though so bygones to anyone who disagrees.
@HotGoomba you want the games performance to be worse? 😉
@Arnna you know honestly, I'd sacrifice some graphics and frame rate for the ability to play Borderlands 3 on my Switch.
Also it seems that Borderlands 3 isn't as power intensive as other games that got ported over to the Switch, like the Witcher and Hellblade.
@HotGoomba fair enough. I guess portability is a factor. It makes sense that it might run a bit better than other games because it doesn’t look much different to BL2 - the cel shaded look was really just smoothed out and sharper.
The fact they got The Witcher 3 running is a minor miracle.
