@Stragen8 I agree PSNow will be key, but I think they need to offer PS5 games from the start if they want to compete with GamePass, probably the Spider-Man expansion or something.
I'm sure sometime in the next couple of months we'll hear about it.
Also, I prefer paying more to play better exclusives than have "free" access to a bunch of games I may not care about, I guess this will be the point Sony will try to emphasize
Then again, all wallets run out of money sometime

considering the timeline it was highly unlikely to have a brand new game: if the upgrade to ps5 is free and the expansion has a decent price I think it'll be awesome

I loved HZD and I'm still shocked I haven't finished; but it may mean something

it will not be a 10 because hating on ND seems to be fashionable. Plus I think gaming magazines that cover all consoles tend to make sure there's a semblance of balance and is not good for the industry that ps4 gets all the attention in relation to xbox when the next generation gets revealed. (same opinion for ghost of tsushima)

Bought it in spite of the price, couldn't help myself. The only way I feel the price is justifiable is because the production values of story mode are way higher than dlc characters... and still. 20€ would have been more reasonable I guess

As someone who got to live state repression first hand as a Venezuelan, and have to still listen to some people talk about it as if I had allucinated the whole thing, as someone who lived for work in Memphis during 2014 and 2015 (Ferguson protest and so on), I will say this:
1- I understand the people supporting Sony's decision and feeling thankful for their support, since yes indeed, black lives matter.
2- I understand the people angry at Sony because, why doing this now and ignoring everything else (heck I had both state police and palamilitary shooting at my apartment windows for protesting and it was all fine and dandy).
3- I understand Sony since my whole timeline on any social media is full of statements about the situation, so the PR backlash would have been too much for something as important.
4- I understand those who believe there is some political underline to this whole thing and get a bit too testy about it, after all the why now? question has an easy to guess answer.
5- I understand the protesters (though never the looters), I understand the anger and I understand the injustice at least to a point, I have not lived it, so no matter how much empathy as I can have I cannot really understand, Memphis was a peculiar experience, being both white and non-white I was able to share with people of all the communities and they were always open and friendly to me, and the reality is like two parallel universes with very little in common.
The one thing I can always advice is look at the facts, don't undermine the opinion of others, if you're actually right, prove it and find the common ground which at least should be that "no needless deaths at the hands of the police should occur"

@get2sammyb exactly, sometimes I don't continue playing because I don't know if the next mission will be an hour or 10 minutes

Honestly I'll love to have it, but same as I did for the Darksiders III Apocallypse Edition all being said, is way too much money.
Thing is, I cannot find a retailer for the Apocallypse Edition that discounted it, likely meaning it got sold out... so... they'll keep doing it as long as people keeps buying it

I understand the critique in the sense it lacked a major impact announcement, which would have been interesting and helpful in creating an audience.
Having said that, I loved it, it was not too much information to be overwhelmed, and to be fair, having a date for Blood and Truth (could have been the first thing to showcase instead of Iron Man) and more news on MK 11 is not bad at all

@Octane see what you mean. I think they will not do that with TLoU since there are too many PS4 owners for Sony to risk giving them the most awaited game on a watered down version. Then again, who knows what strategy they may want to follow

@Octane I'm thinking all of the Big 3 exclusives will be "cross-gen". If you believe the backwards compatibilty with PS4 (and I do) I think they'll all get extra content or a significant upgrade patch (60 fps, plus bigger resolution and performance), enough to make us want to buy the PS5 next to a sequel to GoW or Spider-Man

I think it'll be out in 2019 and it'll be revealed on May to give Days Gone a chance to sell.
God of War and Spider-Man (if I'm not wrong) followed a similar path of being announced just 3 to 5 months before relase. So yes, October 2019 seems like a good bet.

to be fair, god of war and spiderman had their release dates announced with only 3 months to go.
I'm thinking 3Q or 4Q of 2019 is quite possible (at least for one of the 3 between Death Stranding, Ghost of Tushima and TLOUII)
And we have already seen gameplay of the TLOUII so yeah, my guess is 2019

Looks quite interesting, seems to me some kind of lock-aim function could help with the melee and I wonder how many times you can kill the mustache robot before it gets old

Don't think it is an "online" game, you just have the option.
What I do think is that this one is for the PS5... or it'll take all of your HDD space, or both

It's art is cutesy, but I get the feeling is quite a Dark game

@Rudy_Manchego I think it works for Kojima because is Kojima, you kind of always know what he's working on even if you have no clue, as is the case with Death Stranding.

@JJ2 True, but what if then everyone goes crazy thinking is a new IP and then dissapointment hits because is Far Cry?
Then again, if they get flustered by "what if's" then they should not be marketing videogames.
I concede to your point, the teaser without the Far Cry logo would have been better

I would also think as a developer and publisher after spending millions on a videogame I may want to make sure the game does not get lost between other announcements. That way a small leak or a teaser (as Far Cry did) secures some attention given to your game. Imagine if the Avengers game gets announced, plus a release date for some of the PS exclusives as rumored, then that's it, your game will be forgotten

I can understand what you mean but do you honestly know if your nickname, name or last name is offensive in other languages? There's no way to do that for a person, how many languages and variations of them you need to speak
So that's to me the interesting point, what would be the "other people"? will it be limited to which languages and cultures? To what extent?

@Cutmastavictory I disagree with you, is what he's been called since he was a newborn and the person is in no responsibility to know if that's offensive to any other culture, since there's no way to keep track to all the offensive terms known and used to mankind.

Variations of could be potentially offensive also in Spanish and in French... and I'm sure it cand be done for most of the names out there (that was the point I clearly failed to make), so, how do you actually filter that?

@get2sammyb that's not offensive language, for all the Enriques in the world that's no different to Sam or Sammy for all Samuels and I'm sure there are a few hundred people on the Playstation Network, so what on earth happen?
Was he reported by another user who didn't care about anything that his own culture on a globalized product as PSN? And Sony just acts and don't think?

@get2sammyb as long as you have fun it shouldn't matter, I mean is a game. If someone likes to read the end of a mistery book to begin and then read the book from the start you'll not judge that person (too much) for that.
Is all about personal taste... I use walkthroughs if I'm on a platinum run or get really stuck on something (normally I solve the puzzle and then move on withou it) as it happened to me on the casino murder at The Sexy Brutale

@Eran If you have played Little Big Planet you'll know the intention. The idea of using Dreams is that it'll be much more intuitive that any programming language so the "time and effort" will be only about creativity not about coding or anything else

The best thing about having a PS4 is that you have a lot of solo experiences, so I couldn't care less about cross-play. Hope the ones that really want it enjoy it though.

When I see controversies like this I always first think that there's some shady stuff behind it or to put it bluntly, someone getting a benefit out of creating controversies... Then I remember how dissapointing the human race is at times and I laugh at myself for thinking there's actually some thinking behind the whole thing

I love it, as it came out I thought it was the dumbest thing possible, then I took a photo on Driveclub, then another and then I hate it when games don't have one (The Witcher 3).
Is a different way to appreciate the craftsmanship put into the games and to be honest, a different wat to play.
