Sure did. I started working as an apprentice mechanic in June 94 and saved my £40 a week wages for this coming the following September. Stood outside Dixons for ages and left with the console, ridge racer and battle arena toshinden. Good times 😀

Gaming was best when you could rent games from your local video store and could swap games you own for a small fee (£2 in the ps2 days but could rent a full vextrex in the early 80s for £5 for the weekend 😀). You young'uns ruined it for everybody with you tinternet

Finished SH2 remake last night (unbelievable game especially with headphones). Today a few lightgun games, virtua cop, house of the dead and a bit of point blank before I pick something new

I've got these installed on the arcade legends cabinet with the trackball and still enjoy playing them. Nice to see them surviving but without the trackball its pointless

@MrPeanutbutterz your right and tbf i was very unimpressed everytime I fired up a new xbox to be greeted by the exact same layout each time whereas playstation always seemed to make an effort ( but not as much with ps5). But still, the future looks like xbox, ps and nintendo being an app which is just sad

@HonestHick completely agree and for me gaming's in a serious decline. I know the younger fans would dismiss my opinion but gaming today isn't a patch on the 80s, 90s and even early 2000s

@DaveTheRave 100% agree, they've made mistake after mistake but they might have finally found something that works (talking purely money here if I was as financially invested in xbox as I am with ps I'd be pissed)

@MrPeanutbutterz because its starting to look like publishing is more profitable than manufacturing. I'm old and enjoy owning all of the systems each gen but we're getting very close to a black box under the telling that plays everything. I understand that this is favourable to some but for me the differences between each system is what makes it special
