@viktorcode (hopefully without spoiling anything for you) I guess it's a bit of a different take due to the more sci-fi story to ac with playable sections in modern day, even though they normally suck. The newer games would definitely be bigger in scope, and map, to the likes of got but the originals still have their charm. Personally, for the newer ones, I really enjoyed origins and odyssey but wasn't a fan of valhalla but think this one is looking pretty great

For me it's OK, I'm enjoying resi 4 and gt7 with the racing rig is a lot of fun but the lack of games is definitely a problem and it's clear sony have disowned it

@Jrs1 😂. Think I could have bought 3 or 4 with the money I spent renting that thing. It did have a remote control though (attached buy a 1m long cable so I still had to get up). Good times 🤣

Doubt it, nintendo can see the mess ps & xbox are making of this gen with their hundreds of millions of dollar development costs and understand their model is more profitable and sustainable

I'm guessing your stats are showing a younger audience than before with things like this and the little bios added for the author. Feels like the old gamesmaster magazine which is fine for the kids but doesn't really feel aimed at adults

As digital slowly takes over I've no issue with subscriptions as there's no way I'll ever spend £70 on a digital copy

@Daz1380 really? Why? Mrs got me one for Christmas and I've turned it on and tried a couple of games, that all worked great, but I dont really get the point....

Missus has got me a new surround system, psvr2& a portal so there will definitely be some gaming. Gonna bring in my racing rig and play the fu%k outta gt7 👍 stoned to the balls of course ( makes it so much better)..

Picked one up in the sale purely for the resi games, it's clearly been abandoned unfortunately but at that price worth it for a few good games

@LavenderShroud add a hardrive and play ps2 roms, very easy to do and fun for the authentic experience ( I have mine filled with the singstar games for the mrs 🤣).

@Stickleman 100% agree, I think the oled steamdeck has been the console of this gen. Plus it's opened my eyes to pc gaming and its pretty sweet tbf....

Easiest answer ever - Ridge Racer. They was such a generational leap it was mind blowing. I was 16 at the time and just started my apprenticeship so had a bit of cash and preordered it from dixons with ridge racer & tekken but they had ridge racer playing on a loop in their window for about a month before launch and I'd just stand at the window mesmerised by the arcade like graphics. Last time I've felt that in gaming unfortunately

Nah, love the steam deck but mostly in docked mode and mostly for emulation ( although pc gamers get a hell of a lot of games for free which is pretty sweet). It's perked up my interest in going full pc though especially with how console gaming's going these days... But no, a portable ps5 doesn't appeal and the portal seems to be stepping up in that regard if that's your thing
