Who is playing the title role in Marvel's Wolverine on PS5?

For many, the character of Wolverine is synonymous with Hugh Jackman, who has portrayed the mutant superhero in many X-Men and standalone Wolverine films over the years.

However, for Insomniac Games' original game, the character, also known as James 'Logan' Howlett, has a brand new face behind the yellow and black mask.

The person playing Wolverine is 43-year-old Australian actor Liam McIntyre.

Liam McIntyre is best known for playing the title role in the Starz TV show Spartacus, specifically seasons two and three.

However, his career has seen him star in various TV series, including the likes of Neighbours, The Pacific, Con Man, The Flash, and Them.

McIntyre has also featured in video games prior to Marvel's Wolverine, with roles in Gears of War 4, Gears 5, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

He's not only providing the voice for Wolverine in the game, he's doing the full performance capture for the role.

He describes the role of Wolverine as "one of the greatest honours of my life, one of the biggest responsibilities I've ever had, and one of the coolest things I've ever gotten to do".
