This is why I don't want Death Stranding to be nominated or win Game of the Year at Game Awards, specifically.

Of course, in its own merit, the game may very well be GotY material, but under the "relationship" Geoff had with Kojima, it would be safer if it didn't get nominated at all. BAFTA is giving Kojima an award for Game Innovation at BAFTA Game Awards, if Geoff decides to compete with them, he may give it to Kojima.

Is he lying though? I don't think he particularly mentioned first-person shooters, but shooters in general.

If that was to take into consideration, the Xbox One S would have sold around 200M units because it's the cheapeat 4K Dolby Atmos Dolby Vision HDR10+ Blu-ray player in the market right now. They would use it in cinemas, educational establishments, hell even home theatres made great use of it.

It's already been advertised as a PS4 game. Not releasing it on the PS4 is false advertising and subject for a lawsuit.

@Knuckles-Fajita m.2 SSD. That's the component it allows to minimise load times, boot times, downloads, streaming and so on. Although CPU is what processes it, single-core speed is not as important as multiple cores running at a above average speed (Hence, AMD is better than Intel, just saying).

Usually, I look for spoilers do I know if the product is worth getting. The culture of "No Spoilers" makes it so much harder to find. I did manage to find some regarding Death Stranding and WOW! I knew Kojima was hiding a lot more under the walking and connecting mechanics, I just didn't know how much.

It wouldn't be that much of an enhancement anyway. Pushing from 30fps to 36fps, big difference.

I actually tweeted something like that to the PlayStation Twitter account. They were marketing some random game, more than their own. So much so, that sister studios had to step in and boost market it on Twitter. PlayStation needs to give more value to its IPs, big or small.

@AlexOlney There's a different between a rumble motor and haptic feedback. One uses magnets to create different pressures through vibrations. Whereas a rumble uses an actual motor to create vibrations. Nintendo's HD Rumble uses a tiny motor with different settings to create different sensations.

They're similar, but function extremely differently. Nintendo's version is an improved version of the rumble motor, whereas haptic feedback has been around for too long.

Doesn't Days Gone has a similar system? When you're hiding, if an enemy approaches very closely, you can hear Deacon's heartbeat.

It's not like it matters in the scheme of things. PC players will always have the advantage. Switch players will always have the most disadvantage due to lowest performance. Only PS4 and Xbox will have equal ground.

But for people who want to play together, good for you.

Emphasis on "Basic gameplay". This man showed a 50 minute long video worth of nothing but footage of the game. Everything presented was basic gameplay, imagine what lies underneath.

It looks nothing like Breath of the Wild.

Ni No Kuni, Granblue Fantasy, NieR Automata, Sword Art Online, Naruto Ultimate Ninja and Ninja Storm, One Piece, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, Drakengard 3 and many more, are also Breath of the Wild clones, according to you that is.

Weapons break in Days Gone; definitely BotW clone.
You can use swords in Sekiro; BotW clone 100%
FE: Three Houses has cell-shade art style: BotW clone
Red Dead 2 is open world; also a BotW clone.

If anything, it only goes to show how generic Breath of the Wild actually is.

Based on the gameplay I'd say it's a mixture of Dark Souls and Shadow of Colossus.

Nothing in here looks like Zelda — of course, I'm talking about Traditional Zelda. Not the generic 3rd person open world that was Breath of the Wild.

It's just that MCU has set some serious standards and although biased, it's understandable why people were expecting them to at least look close to the Hollywood version.

Gameplay-wise it looks really solid, it reminds me of God of War a bit, so on that regard, I think it's perfect.

I can definitely see why people compare it to Breath of the Wild, but please... This one actually does it right! I saw a few dungeon gameplay, good stuff. Except for that character swap mechanic, I hope that's gone.
