Death Stranding's soundtrack is probably going to be weird and wonderful, but Death Stranding: Timefall isn't that. Just announced on PlayStation's official website, this is a collection of songs from various artists that have been inspired by the world that Sam Bridges is set to trek across come November.
Apparently containing work from the likes of CHVRCHES, Khalid, and Major Lazer, these tracks have been inspired by the setting of Death Stranding, but they will not be a part of the game itself. Timefall and the official soundtrack to the title are two different things. It's a very Kojima move, isn't it?
The album will launch on the same day as the game, 8th November 2019, and will be packaged in with the Collector's Edition, Special Edition, and Digital Deluxe Edition. It will also be available separately on music streaming services alongside a physical version.

Anybody Seen My Throat Baby by the Rolling Stones is on there, right?
I'm not familiar with any of the three artists announced so far.
@RBMango Well you can find Chvrches on GTAV's radio and... I know Major Lazer and Khalid sounds familiar.
@TheArt @RBMango Diplo's in Major Lazer and he's produced albums for M.I.A. back in 2005 through to Beyonce's Lemonade in 2016 and Madonna's Madame X this year. Anyway, as for the album, I'm probably biased towards CHVRCHES as they're from down the road from me and in an AMA have answered questions I've asked but I'm not a big fan of the other two artists. If they can get someone like D'Angelo who was on the RDR2 soundtrack, that would be incredible but from Kojima's taste in trailer music and the like, I don't think I share much in common with him music-wise.
Can't wait for it all
I can't imagine Sam Bridges listening to Major Lazer.
How can artists be inspired by a game that isn't even out yet?
Chvrches is all I need to hear. Though I was in already.
