The last time we saw MediEvil’s anticipated PlayStation 4 remake, it was looking rough to say the least. It looks like developer Other Ocean Interactive has invested some serious effort behind-the-scenes, though, as the title appears pretty polished in this off-screen footage from Brazilian convention Game XP 2019.
While it’s not direct-feed, the framerate appears much slicker, while the visuals have been bumped up to boot. It’s perhaps worth remembering that this is still very much a remake, so the occasionally cumbersome gameplay of the original has been retained. Nevertheless, this looks much closer to what we expected it to be all along, and we’re really looking forward to its launch in late October.

SIR DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!
Hopefully my trust in Sony to not bugger this up like Activision and CTR:NF will be rewarded! 😅
Can't wait for Medievil !
That's good to hear I might just buy it.
The game looks really good, although the guy in the video did say that they encountered a few problems that they hope gets polished before release.
He mentions collision problems and also textures loading.
Game has always looked good to me. Pre-ordered and ready.
I can’t see a difference other than a closer camera. I’m on a phone switching between vids though.
What’s different and what makes the new vid better?
You said the game appears pretty polished, but the guy in the video said otherwise lol.
Yeah the graphics and framerate seems smoother now, I can't wait for this
so the old beta footage WASN'T fully representative of the final product
...SHOCKER!
it's almost as if games are still in development when the first trailer drops
seriously people now a days are so reactionary about everything
@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy Don't worry, Sony has stayed away from the dreaded microtransactions in all their single player games. They won't Activision it.
Definitely looks more responsive, perhaps the frames have been bumped up as well. Cant wait!
Ha ha I know @DreamerAbe86 ! My comment was mainly just to rag on actish$t a little
And voice my excitement on Sir Daniel Fortesque being back soon of course!
Sir Dan and Luigi holding down the fort on family friendly spooks this October. Can’t wait!
@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy @DreamerAbe86 to be fair Sony rake in 30% of all the microtransactions from activision, EA and Ubisoft. They are not angels but at least they have the common sense to distance their products which get you into the psn shop in the first place. Which in turn means no micros for most first party titles.
sir Dan fortesque welcome back legend.word up son
I've played this demo at this same convention in Brazil last month, and it's just like the guy says in the video.
The graphics are pretty good, around same level as other recent ps1 remasters, and the gameplay is basically the same as the original game.
As I've never played Medievil in my childhood, I couldn't find any interest in playing this. Might be worth it for those who played the original, just for the nostalgia factor.
