@thedevilsjester
I'm with you on this. Of course things weren't decided right then and there, but you bet your bottoms they had several back-up plans, of which they eventually ended up using one. It's way to easy to say: "it would be a billion dollar difference in year one, so it's impossible", there are so many more variables to take into account.
First there is the camera which I believe was an integral part of Sony's strategy at first. They saw the sales succes of the Kinect and realized Nintendo was wasn't gonna do Wii numbers, so there's no better way to attract that audience than with a pretty advanced camera that eventually would also be used for VR. But it was mostly meant to play a huge part in their "social experience" strategy after the explosive growth of social media and Twitch in particular.
Second of all, and this is even more important: Sony isn't just a console manufacturer, they make their money from software sales and subscriptions. So if they hoped for a $499 release, perhaps with a camera, but MS announced that price without any option to ditch the Kinect, Sony could easily make a leaner package with just a controller and put it in the market for $100 less; the extra money they make of of software and subscriptions easily covers the difference in initial projections.
In our family business we deal with comparable issues all the time. If we prepare a tender for a big contract and we get info from the inside about what the competition is offering, something that happens way more than people think (we actually employ 2 people FT lobbyists that also "investigate" these things because they have chatty contacts), we sometimes change a tender on the fly to make sure we'll get the contract. We can do this because we have evaluated the tender and made projections for back up plans as well; we have a plan B and C where we are able to cut cost by removing non- essential features, or making it an extra, or use cheaper parts. Because the last thing you want to do is low balling the offer just to find out you could've made millions more and still have the best proposal.
@get2sammyb True, but I believe they were able to "artificially" lower the price by making the camera optional. If you see early press events and presentations on talk shows and what not, it's clear Sony initially had way bigger plans with the camera; I'm not just talking the little robots game, which name I don't remember atm, but the camera was gonna be an integral part of the "social experience" the PS4 was gonna deliver.
Even when you make sales and cost projections for a new product you always make sure have some room to spare in the budgets, especially when you have a direct competitor which hand is forced to announce a price first. I truly think that there were multiple launch options, also one where a camera bundle was optional, but they chose to go for the minimalist approach after MS revealed their price. They saw the backlash, they noticed how people felt about the price and they had a couple of hours for a meeting where eventually was decided the PS4 would launch lean and mean, for just $399; and the rest is history.
I really hope there will one day be revealed how everything around the launch of this gen came to be. I've heard the wildest rumours, some from a insider I know and trust, and especially on the MS side there were some pretty interesting deals made behind closed doors we probably never hear about. The story about this gen's "reveal period" would make an excellent movie if even half of what I heard is true... It's a shame we already know how it ends though; the good guys win
@kyleforrester87
Just like with revealing the launchprice of the PS4; if that wasn't a PowerPoint sheet that was adjusted that very day I don't know what is. You get a fairly slick presentation of the console, and then the price is revealed like this:
:')
I still can hear Jack Tretton bs'ing the press that "a company like Sony makes these decisions months ahead"... I guess that didn't go for the very last bit of their presentation then
@mrobinson91 What? For me there was a moment while playing Witcher 3 that I said to myself: "could it be that there's more about this game than just playing Gwent and obtaining Gwent cards?" The game has plenty of depth and combine that with some smooth animations and sounds like Hearthstone has and you've got yourself a potential hit.
I've known they were working on it for quite some time, but I figured CDPR didn't green lit it after all since it took them so long. I wonder if it can still ride the Witcher 3 hype wave, cause it might be they've waited a bit too long.
Wait, wut? Who on the editorial staff thinks "chocolate mixed with cheese and onion crisps" is divisive?
My most anticipated game of this list must be Horizon Zero Dawn. It's funny to notice how these huge blockbusters don't have the same appeal to me as the used to. Heck, there are 6 on the list I don't even care for at all, all of them games that would've gotten me hyped just by mentioning them a couple of years ago.
@get2sammyb Talking bout Greg Miller; did you listen to the latest PS I love you XOXO already, the no1 PS podcast in the world?? Haha, must have been good for the ego Sammy.
I don't know exactly why, but it had me cheering in the car
I ordered the Japanse Collectors Edition today because I'm a fool, maybe it'll have English subtitles ;') I couldn't resist the art book nor the soundtrack that was included.
I'll definitely pick up the CE of the Western version too, I'm kinda hoping the US and EU will her different versions
There probably wouldn't be a better time for it then now. PS3 was moderately successful in the end, but always kinda remained the gen's 'loser' up until the very last year when the 360 was almost abandoned by MS and the PS3 overtook the 360 in sales and arguably saw some of its best games.
Now however, PlayStation is part of the zeitgeist and the PS4 is pretty much the only option when kids/ teens buy a console outside of the USA; heck, even in its homeland the PS4 is selling better and is definitely the 'cooler' console to own. So if Rockstar makes a (console) exclusive like Agent, a game which theme better suits PlayStation anyway, this time around, I think it could even be a smart move; it's exclusives like this that sell a console and adaptation per console owner will be higher than if it's a multiplat because of the competitive aspect and Sony putting its weight behind it.
With LA Noire I'm reminded of Rockstar's output this gen, and it's remarkable that Take- Two Interactive indeed seems to rely on just GTA and RDR as Strauss Zelnick said earlier this week (and Evolve, but that was just a CEO not willing to admit a screw- up imo, just like Battleborn "is doing way better than expected" ). Sure, GTA V is a huge succes and the inevitable RDR2 will be so too, but games like LA Noire, Max Payne, Midnight Club, Bully or even a title like Table Tennis would certainly sell enough to warrant the production cost. I'm all for letting your core IPs 'marinade' a bit, letting people wait for it, but with commercial flops like Evolve and the recent Battleborn, Take- Two relies an awful lot on NBA2k, RDR and GTA.
@get2sammyb I do. Enter the Gungeon is console exclusive as well and so is Salt & Sanctuary. But because "indie" doesn't seem to mean that a game is literally independently developed nowadays, but more used for "smaller, less expensive titles", indies are covering PS's ass as far as I'm concerned.
PS's first party outings have really troubled development histories this generation and I'm willing to bet Horizon will be postponed as well. There is more than enough to play on the PS4, but the days where Sony was killing it on the first party side seem to be long gone; the GT Sport announcement almost had me crying, and not of joy might I add. But where Sony is dropping the ball for me personally, 2nd and 3rd parties are making up for it.
@DominicanGlory Or Enter the Gungeon, another game you actually play instead of watch. These indies are really covering Sony's ass this generation, because PlayStation's first and second party efforts seem to be all about "experiences".
I obviously don't think Uncharted 4 is a bad game and there certainly is a market for it, but I'll take 2 hours of Alienation over 2 hours of UC4 any day of the week; in Alienation you'll feel adrenaline rush after adrenaline rush, in UC you've watched Drake getting Elena food and realizing he hates his life with her if you're unlucky.
@get2sammyb You hear the wildest assumptions about NEO being nescesarry for VR or how it will divide the userbase, while the NEO is practically inevitable for a whole other reason. Sure, all console manufacturers see the declining sales in software and console sales will plateau soon if something doesn't happen, but the main reason for NEO is quite simple: Polaris. Sony could insist on buying old parts and AMD won't be able to shut down production lines, but they will still need to produce Polaris chips on the other hand.
So Sony will be able to buy the new APU, which is more powerful, more energy efficient and cooler, for the same amount of money they're buying the current one. And if AMD were to keep the old production lines open that would probably mean that the old APUs, with the old architecture (or however it's called), would even be MORE expensive than the newer Polaris ones. And because it's more energy efficient, Sony can overclock the CPU and GPU a bit as well because they won't run the risk of overheating it.
We're in the UAV business ourselves and we are facing similar "problems" at the moment where the maintenance of the older models is actually getting more and more expensive every year. It's a different kind of bussiness and we have a different kind of "APUs" that we have to work with for example, but adopting the newer tech in favor of the old one is actually beneficial for both the end "consumers" as well as our company.
I'm using an Elite and I'm never going back! The shoulder buttons are placed less awkward and are less 'clicky' on the newer models, but who need those anyway when you've got paddles? At this point I'm even buying games on PC or One that I would much rather play on my PS4 just because of this controller. I've bought 2 of those puppies on the cheap when they first launched after a mistake from an online retailer and everyone in my family has the same problem now where we're so spoiled by the paddles we don't wanna use anything else.
Although nice in theory, I can't imagine that the trackpad is an actual advantage while playing. And like @rjejr is saying, setting it up is more complicated than it should be, so I honestly can't think of a PC gamer going for the $60 DS4 when they can get a plug and play 360 controller for half the money. But with Elite controllers going for $100- $110 these days, I'd definitely recommend getting one of those to all PC gamers.
When visiting the site on mobile the embedded videos won't load the first time I try, after I reload the site however, they just work without a problem. I have the same problem on NL.
About the CE: it's ridiculous to expect people are hyped enough for a game they've barely seen. That said, I like those type of skulls though
@PeachSpike Excellent choice mate. Might I suggest this to go with your new lifestyle? I've heard their forums are just great!
All bad jokes aside, I do get where you're coming from. Sony's first party efforts pretty much always get (huge) delays and paying Sony so I can host online games seems odd. But in the end there's nothing like the comfort and accesibility of the console; you always hear PC elitist talking bout how easy PC gaming has gotten the last few years, but what they actually mean to say is that it's less cr*ppy in 2016 than it was in the past
@NAZA187 Everything is expensive here these days mate, that damn Rand is killing us. Xbox Live is now 3 x more expensive and Plus' price got already bumped up last year. Gaming has always been rather expensive, but with the economy truly in the crapper at this point I can only seeing it getting worse. Zuma and his muppets have set this country back 500 years and in 30 years we won't be whining bout the high prices of videogames, but bout the price of water which we'll have to import.
But hey, maybe that is what it takes for people to open their eyes. Maybe they have to see their kids dying of hunger and thirst before they'll vote with their minds instead of with their DNA.
@get2sammyb
That's the sweetest part: normally deals like this have to be disclosed because of their shareholders, but if the PS division was part of the deal it's easier for Sony Pictures to keep it quiet, especially since Sony could argue it's valuable "inside information". And because of the importance of the PS brand for Sony and the enormous costs of the last 2 Spider-Man movies I could see Sony favoring the PS division over Pictures.
If there is a licensing agreement for a game the whole deal between Pictures and Marvel/ Disney would make more sense; I just can't believe Sony would just "give away" a brand that is so important for them and is possibly worth billions at this point. Heck, the PS3 even used Spider-Man's font for Ben's sake! ('Potter', not 'uncle')
What I hardly ever hear is the fact that Sony gave up their movie rights so easily. That is, they gave Marvel the right to use Spider-Man in their MCU and let them produce and direct a stand- alone movie at a deal that is completely not beneficial for them. The only reason why I could see Sony giving up their rights, and all the money they could ask for it, so easily is when they get something sweet in return: the rights to make a Spider- Man licensed videogame!
I want to believe there is more to the movie rights agreement than just merchandise and like Sammy said Disney could be inclined to release it on one platform only because of PS4s dominance. And although it isn't a Sony owned IP, it would be a huge step up for Sucker Punch: if the game releases after the movie it will crúsh Uncharted 4's sales! Sucker Punch would immediately promote to the big leagues with a game that has the potential to sell 8-12 million if it has the sweet traversal we all know they're capable of making!
Win-win-win scenario! Disney wins, Sucker Punch wins and most importantly: we win! It's been to God*peep* long since we had a decent Spider-Man game and papi wants to swing...
@TVRFLY "Plus a true GT fan will not touch forza"?!? What are you, 12? They've brainwashed you my friend, being loyal to one game or console is just stupid; a modern consumer will keep all options open. It's not about them, it's about you.
@sub12
I believe it was imported at the time. I'll never forget it, it was a GT bundle and I bought a Godfather DVD boxset with it, the only DVDs I could find in Kaapstad; those were $200. For years I was the only one with a DVD player and because the video store had no DVDs (cause André, the owner, thought it was a fad) we watched the Godfafher movies like 30 times each... At least
I still have that boxset, I gave away my PS2 though when the PS3 came around. When I gave it to my nephew he was the only one in his class with a PS2, the rest was still playing on their megadrives or PS1s!
@qsduong Not only that, but because @WanderingBullet notified me that Noctis was up for sale individually I had to check the site only to find out they were having a sale! Picked up the Sparta Batman!
@Flaming_Kaiser I should have explained that a bit. Driveclub is a great game, but it didn't achieve what it set out to do. DC was supposed to be all about "social racing", something some marketing peeps came up with judging from similar games that tried the same, but in the end you play DC because of how it handles and how gorgeous it looks.
To see GT isn't focussing on what made the series so great, but tries to shoehorn in all this social, online or FIA partnering stuff is just killing me. Stick to the d*mn core values of the series and give us fans what we want; we already have a, slightly more arcady, Driveclub which is a fun game, but not because of its online functions...more despite of.
@TVRFLY Keep telling yourself that. I've been a huge GT fan since day 1 and I play GT6 on a weekly basis, despite the fact I have Forza 6 lying around. But although I'm sure GT Sport's handling will be just what I want from a racing game, we can't just keep on giving them free passes for this sh*t.
At this point the game looks like GT6, sounds like GT6 and handles like GT6, yet it lacks the cars and modes their previous generation game had. I've stuck by PD's side all through the debacle that was called GT5, a game that took years to come out and then another year and a half and 6gbs worth of patches (which was huge at the time) to reach GT4 level of gameplay. I've bought a $1100 PS2 (they were expensive here) just to play their game and I'm having a PS3 and racing wheel hooked up just for GT6, but this announcement of GT Sport was just utter cr*p.
This has got nothing to do with Xbox owners trying to dis GT, don't be so insecure, it are just GT fans that expect more. And even if it were Forza players hating on GT; if Polyphony blew everyone away with their trailer they wouldn't have any fuel to start a flamewar.
@kyleforrester87 That's a real shame indeed. Such a wonderful engine that scales so well. But even then @get2sammyb is right: the Fox engine is apparently mostly the work of Western engineers. These Japanese devs are a gen behind on a technical level and only the ones that use UE4 have a fighting chance it seems. Epic is single handedly saving the Japanese console gaming industry by giving them proper tools and support in their own language.
Polyphony is unfortunately stuck in the past and although GT6 was an engineering marvel, giving us the full HD PS3 game that Sony promised 9 years earlier, they don't seem to be up for the task at this point.
@Sanquine
Exactly! I play GT6 on a weekly basis because of its handling, which for me is near perfect, but the game itself looks like GT5, which in turn looked an awful lot like GT4... So looking at this trailer closely I couldn't help noticing it does indeed look like GT6 with some better shadows and lighting, but with a worse framerate.
I'm not a Forza player, I can look at it and admire what it's doing, but the moment I start a race I'm constantly thinking "it's not Gran Turismo". But when I look at Forza 6 or play it, I can clearly see the difference with Forza 5, which in turn looked better than part 4. How is it that Polyphony can't seem to surpass the PS3 levels of performance? Why aren't the sounds of the cars fixed by now? Why do they give us a game with way less content than they gave us last time?
They should've remastered GT6 instead of trying to do what Driveclub already did and failed miserably at, and focus on making a GT7 that is distinctly better than its predecessor. GT6 would finally get the love it deserves from racing fans all around the world that aren't interested in social features but just want to burn some virtual rubber.
@WanderingBullet You've got to be effing kidding me?! That's the only reason I ordered that CE in the first place! D*mnit!
You can't say to a Play Arts Kai collector it will be exclusive, let him camp the official site for hours on end and just when he put his mind at ease cause he got a pre order in, you just start selling them individually! Aargh! And with their awful terms and conditions, which are unlawful, it will take so many mails before I can cancel it, I just rather pay.
I'm glad I didn't pre order the other figures yet. I'm 100% positive they won't sell out and I'll just wait till they are in sale, that'll save me at least $200 because of lack their ridiculous policy that you can't bundle pre orders so they can make money on shipping too. F SE.
This game will prove that they should've ported GT6 and work on a proper GT7 instead. This game looks like GT6 does on my PS3 and like GT6 the handling is spot on. And although I always prefer GT's handling when compared to Forza's, it's hard not to focus on all the other stuff Forza does better.
I'll stick to GT6, where my Logitech G27 does work, and wait till there is a game that can top that feel only GT nails; everyone can make a engine roar on a stretch (expect for Polyphony ), but only few can master that feel you get when taking a corner that GT6 masters.
I personally think lots of outlets detracted points of the total score because of the average multiplayer component, which they wouldn't have done it weren't there. This feels so odd...
@get2sammyb Explaining how to embed pictures can't be that hard now, can it? If you upload a picture they even give you the proper BB code tags for you to embed it on this forum.
@get2sammyb
I do think it's good for a website to have one or multiple familiar faces that do video reviews and other bits, but you could consider showing a bit of gameplay on one half of the screen, with you on the other half, at times too. That way you never have to look at the same "sequence" for too long. With some snappy editing you'll maintain to hold people's attention. That'll be freakin' rad!
I've gotta be honest with you: the first few videos you did felt a bit awkward and I figured that this would end up the same as your music career, but you're really getting the hang of it. You're definitely a funny guy, but on screen it felt a bit forced at first, the last few vids though it feels more natural. You're freakin' rad!
The only thing we are missing now is more video contributions from Ben Potter. Judging from his profile picture he's not completely hideous and he has this incredible voice for voice overs and short bits and the typical British sense of humor that fits this site. There could even be a little back and forth between the two of you for the younger audience: if you do it in a playful way the old farts that say "back in my day" like myself won't mind, and you can address the YouTube generation in a way they like. That would be... FREAKIN' RAD!
@AyanamiReign In the end I rather just pay the money upfront, cause you know that Blizzard is going to support the Lucio out of this. $60 is a lot of cash, but after playing in the beta I'm convinced I'll spend at least 50 hours playing this game, but 100+ is more likely; I haven't been as excited about a game, let alone a shooter, in ages! Every chance I got I tried squeezing in a match or 2 and when I wasn't playing I was thinking of talking about it.
F2P is nice and all, but it also attracts people you really don't want in a shooter like this; a $60 treshold might keep them at bay. Furthermore I've seen that Hearthstone got kinda crippled by its own succes, the moment Blizzard tried making some money on it. The game is awesome, but if you want to enter now, you better bring at least $100 or else you won't be getting the full experience. Overwatch can be enjoyed however I like: I can play short bursts, binge or stop playing for months and come back without missing out on anything. The moment I enter the Arena I have just as much chance of winning as the opponent with only my lack of skills to blame when I lose.
"Despite these strong performers, though, software sales actually declined 21 per cent year-over-year, while hardware sales dipped by 23 per cent. The industry as a whole amassed $509.5 million, down 15 per cent from $598.1 million in 2015"
We are seeing these drops in y-o-y sales every month, yet every gaming website keeps on regurgitating the same old mantra that console gaming has "never been in a better shape". This is not true and we need to learn to accept this and also open our minds for new ideas like PS4K, VR and whatever Nintendo's cooking up: whether you'll use one of these things one day doesn't matter, what matters is that it enlarges the target audience of consoles.
Sure, the PS4 is the fastest selling Sony console to date and the One and PS4 combined sold more than the 360 and PS3 did when both generations were 2.5 years old, but if you look at these figures more closely you'll see what I see. First off: the PS3 launched later and was incredibly expensive the first year (and a little less expensive later on), yet we count consoles from the moment the 360 entered the market. Secondly: the last gen went on for so long that when the new consoles finally arrived, for a really decent price, people jumped on board quicker than ever before. But the most important thing is the Wii, nobody is taking the Wii into account! You know why? Cause if we do we see that both software and hardware sales are not on the level they were back then.
Sony is betting on VR and frequent console upgrades for a reason: because after the first 60 million units sold, they'll hit the ceiling of what they can sell at the rate they have been! Sony needs to look for other ways to get people in, cause console gaming ISN'T doing better than ever before! And why I mentioned Nintendo earlier? Nintendo is the only company that I believe that is able to get kids away from their phones and iPad and into console gaming. Both Sony and MS do an appalling job of reeling in the former Wii users that are now going for the comfort of mobile gaming instead of gaming on a big screen.
We need VR so tech savvy dads have a reason to buy a PS4; they might not be core gamers, but VR software sold is software sold nontheless. We need a 3 year console cycle with forward- and backward compatibility because that way salesnumbers can keep on growing artificially by selling the same person 2 consoles in a 6 year time span instead of just 1. And we need the Nintendo NX to be a succes: the 2017 Nintendo NX owner (because their parents bought it), will be 2022's PS5 gamer.
I'll miss the figures, the games not so much, and I feel my kids will agree. I know I sound like a total a-hole now, since 300 people lost their jobs, but we are a bit closer to Marvel vs Capcom now! Yep, we are! We are, right?
@kyleforrester87
I honestly feel that a huge part of the outrage stems from the fact that gamers did "the math" and now believe they are entitled to buy the MW remake for just £15, which is completely wrong obviously.
Furthermore I don't get what's wrong with this setting; it's basically the same old terrorist threat but instead of fighting in the Middle East, the terrorists now come from outer space. Weapons and abilities will probably be a lot like the ones we have now in Blops 3, with some zero gravity set pieces thrown in the mix for variation's sake.
Although I think it's a bold move of EA to have a WW1 BF, they will have to use weapons and vehicles that were highly experimental and practically never used in WWI in order to have some decent ground combat. The skies will benefit the most with some real old skool fighter planes, but I think CoD made the smarter decision thematically.
Technically however CoD feels like an old gen game for me and that's why I can't believe they just didn't took a sabbatical with the MW remake and a season 2 of Blops 3 filling in for Infinite Warfare, so it could debut in 2017 on a new engine on par with what DICE and other studios are working with.
Uhm, why do people automatically assume the Modern Warfare remaster's value is $20? That's the price you get it for if you buy the legacy edition, sure, but if I were Activision I would give all the negative Nancies their way and make the game avaliable separately....for $60. Other remasters go for $40- $60, so they'd be fools to just give it away for $20. If you're willing to buy the legacy edition you'll get 2 games for $80, if you don't and only want MW, then you can cough up 60 bucks.
Do people even realize Activision is in the money making business?
@get2sammyb Why do you think Sony "gave" Spider-Man back to Marvel/ Disney for them include him in the MCU and get his own Marvel directed feature film? I haven't seen anyone bringing this up so far, but getting exclusive rights for a video game in return sounds plausible; Disney has relatively little to lose with the PS4 dominating and Marvel wants only the best for their games, which you could argue Sucker Punch is.
Even if it's cross- buy I won't be buying it, I want them to have an incentive to actually release the game on the Vita and buying it just to wait for the cross- buy Vita version could send the wrong signal.
Inafune with his Mighty no.9 and other tricks is exactly the reason I always tell gaming websites not to simply endorse kickstarters: you can never guarantee its success unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong, but I have this feeling Shenmue will come back to bite lots of editors who let nostalgia cloud their judgment in their *sses as well. Maybe Sony's involvement (read: throwing money) will bail em out in that isolated case, but Ina made clear for me that Kickstarters by developers with inflated egos way past their prime shouldn't be supported and endorsed blindly.
A Bloodborne 2 is still a possibility as far as I know; I believe Sony had a '3 exclusive games' contract with them. If Dark Souls has indeed saw its last iteration, I'd rather go for a Demon Souls sequel to be honest and I think commercially it would be smarter too.

I'm with you on this. Of course things weren't decided right then and there, but you bet your bottoms they had several back-up plans, of which they eventually ended up using one. Re: That Card Game Based on The Witcher's Probably Going to Be a Big Deal
Re: Feature: 10 PS4 Games to Get Hyped for at E3 2016

Re: Is Rockstar's Agent Preparing to Infiltrate PS4?
Re: Feature: The 10 Best PS4 Games of 2016 So Far
@get2sammyb
I do.
Re: Feature: The 10 Best PS4 Games of 2016 So Far
@DominicanGlory
Or Enter the Gungeon, another game you actually play instead of watch.

Re: Talking Point: Will Sony Announce PS4K at E3 2016?
@get2sammyb
You hear the wildest assumptions about NEO being nescesarry for VR or how it will divide the userbase, while the NEO is practically inevitable for a whole other reason.

Re: PS4 Controller Selected Best for PC Gaming

Excellent choice mate.

Re: Uncharted 4 Sells More Than 2.7 Million Copies in Its First Week
@NAZA187
Everything is expensive here these days mate, that damn Rand is killing us.
Re: Talking Point: Could Sucker Punch Really Make Spider-Man for PS4?
@get2sammyb
Re: Talking Point: Could Sucker Punch Really Make Spider-Man for PS4?

"Plus a true GT fan will not touch forza"?!? What are you, 12? They've brainwashed you my friend, being loyal to one game or console is just stupid; a modern consumer will keep all options open. It's not about them, it's about you.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport Is Only 50 Per Cent Complete
@sub12

Re: Gran Turismo Sport's First PS4 Gameplay Trailer Takes to the Track
@Flaming_Kaiser
I should have explained that a bit.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport Is Only 50 Per Cent Complete
@TVRFLY
Keep telling yourself that.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport's First PS4 Gameplay Trailer Takes to the Track
@kyleforrester87
That's a real shame indeed.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport's First PS4 Gameplay Trailer Takes to the Track
@Sanquine
Re: Square Enix Is Preparing More Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Edition Stock
@WanderingBullet
You've got to be effing kidding me?!
F SE.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport Takes Pole Position on PS4 from 15th November
This game will prove that they should've ported GT6 and work on a proper GT7 instead. This game looks like GT6 does on my PS3 and like GT6 the handling is spot on. And although I always prefer GT's handling when compared to Forza's, it's hard not to focus on all the other stuff Forza does better.
I'll stick to GT6, where my Logitech G27 does work, and wait till there is a game that can top that feel only GT nails; everyone can make a engine roar on a stretch (expect for Polyphony ), but only few can master that feel you get when taking a corner that GT6 masters.

Re: Video: Should You Buy DOOM on PS4?
@get2sammyb
Re: Wow, the Overwatch Beta was Stupidly Popular
@AyanamiReign
In the end I rather just pay the money upfront, cause you know that Blizzard is going to support the Lucio out of this.
Re: April 2016 NPD: Dark Souls III, Ratchet & Clank, MLB 16 The Show Up Top for PS4
Re: Disney Infinity Dumped as Avalanche Software Shuttered
I'll miss the figures, the games not so much, and I feel my kids will agree. I know I sound like a total a-hole now, since 300 people lost their jobs, but we are a bit closer to Marvel vs Capcom now! Yep, we are! We are, right?
Re: Soapbox: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered's Infinite Warfare Exclusivity Is a Disaster
@kyleforrester87
Re: Soapbox: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered's Infinite Warfare Exclusivity Is a Disaster

Re: There's a Fake inFAMOUS Leak That Says Sucker Punch Is Making a Spider-Man Game
@get2sammyb
Why do you think Sony "gave" Spider-Man back to Marvel/ Disney for them include him in the MCU and get his own Marvel directed feature film? I haven't seen anyone bringing this up so far, but getting exclusive rights for a video game in return sounds plausible; Disney has relatively little to lose with the PS4 dominating and Marvel wants only the best for their games, which you could argue Sucker Punch is.
Re: Mighty No. 9 Gets Yet Another Release Date on PS4, Vita Version Gets Pushed Back Further
No Vita? No buy!

Re: From Software's Recruiting for PS4, PlayStation VR
A Bloodborne 2 is still a possibility as far as I know; I believe Sony had a '3 exclusive games' contract with them. If Dark Souls has indeed saw its last iteration, I'd rather go for a Demon Souls sequel to be honest and I think commercially it would be smarter too.
