Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 628

Surprise, Surprise I've been playing more Crimson Desert! These weekly patches/content updates are a good way to keep interest in the game going. Enjoying my time and taking my time with the game. And yes I'm still in Hernand.

Have a great gaming weekend Greymanes of PushSquare!

It's Crimson Desert for me. Definitely not as good looking on base PS5 but it's playable in Performance mode. Hoping they patch it up and improve the visuals a tad. The game is definitely slow to begin, very KCD 2 like but I'll stick with it. Hope you all have a great weekend no matter what you're playing!

After 116 enjoyable hour of Octopath Traveler 0 i jumped into AC Unity to check out the 60fps patch and started enjoy it. But then I teamed up with friend to play Ghost of Yotei Legends which is great fun! And I'm probably going to Buy Crimson Desert next week so I've got more gaming going on than I know what to do with.

Have a similarly great gaming weekend people!

Re: Silent Hill, Slitterhead Creator Begins Work on Another 'Original' Game

@Areus I remember hearing that as well. I can understand not wanting to "go full mainstream" and make smaller horror titles but then they have to be good. Just seems like he fumbled a good opportunity. Some of these devs thought they would be the next Kojima but turned out to be the next Inafune.

Also I wanted Gravity Rush 3 so badly 😭

I know its cool to blame the big Corp for most things but you can't convince me that these guys knew better than Playstation management. Both Toyama and Ueda have not made anything you can call a true success when compared to their work at Japan Studios. If these were the games they were pitching, I can understand why they were turned down.

Re: Fastidiously Multiformat Square Enix Skips PS5 with Yet Another Game

@RoomWithaMoose Honestly after getting burned by the Triangle Strategy glazing ( played 30hrs of it when it dropped on PS5 and didn't enjoy it) I'm not buying into the previous Nintendo exclusive shadow-drop hype. What I'm more interested in/upset about is the Switch exclusive demo for The Adventures of Elliott. Another mysterious Nintendo exclusive from the " multiplatform" Square Enix.

Re: Assassin's Creed Unity PS5 60FPS Patch Out Now

Welp I bought it last night and gave it a go. Then I remembered I don't really like stealth games 😐.

But I'll keep playing it. It will give me a nice break from Octopath till Crimson Desert reviews drop. Then I decide if I'm buying it or not.

A late Saturday for me this week, but I'm still playing Octopath Traveler 0 now 109hrs in and still not finished. I'm hoping I finish it in time for Crimson Desert on the 19th as it's looking more and more like it might run well enough on base PS5 for me to buy it.

Have a great one folks!

Re: Saros Succumbs to the Pay Extra to Play Early Trend

The only good thing about this tactic (in general, not for Saros) is that performance issues should hopefully be highlighted before the general public buys a game. Doesn't really apply to 1st Party Playstation games though as they usually are highly optimized. I Kinda wish Crimson Desert would do this.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for February 2026?

Not a top quality month but to be honest I find it harder and harder to complain about the PS Plus games every month when game take so long to beat. It's not like I finished (or even started) ANY of the games from December or January so why be upset about a "bad month" when I cant even get to the previous month's games.
