After just under 90hours of olay I have PLATINUMED Ghost of Yotei! Definitely my GOTY.
I'm going back to Digimon Story Time Stranger as I'm 41hrs in but only at the Forrest area. But as I'm getting an extra day off before my Anniversary I'm going to get Octopath Traveler 0 on launch day.

The "real-time with pause" hybrid gameplay mentioned isn't new, it's just new to JRPGs. Transistor had this back in 2014 and Strategy games before that. I have to say I'm quite pleased with current JRPGs though. It's been a great time for the genre over the past 5 yrs or so.

I'm 80% and 80hours into the fantastic Ghost of Yotei which is currently my personal GOTY. After I finish it I'll go back fully to Digimon Story Time Stranger.

I have the demo for Octopath Traveler 0 installed as I suspect I'll buy that eventually, but perhaps after launch.

@Oram77 Here Here! Regardless of what TGA panel thinks Yotei is one of the best game of 2025. I'm 76 hrs in and just got to the Oshima Coast.

@Dalamar TBF the Horizon Remake was an actual Remake. You can't mistake HZD PS4 with the PS5 release. This barely qualifies as a Remaster.

So basically this is a PS4 Pro patch cause didn't the game already run at 60? Nothing about that trailer screams "PS5 title" to me.

EDIT: it indeed ran at 50-60 fps on base PS4 buy there was already a PS4 Pro patch. Still underwhelming from a technical standpoint when the PS4 Pro version will run on PS5 Back-Compat.

@AdamNovice the amount of Snubbs this year is horrendous. DS2 didn't even get any performance nominations, Troy Baker got a nomination for Indiana Jones but not Higgs 🤦🏾‍♂️ Not to mention Yotei

Hoping to play ALOT of Ghost of Yotei this weekend and get close to finishing it I'm 64hrs in and only 2 of the Six are I the ground. I tried out the Octopath Traveler 0 demo for a little bit but I'll go back to it later. The Voice acting sounded very compressed to me.

@Ralizah Apparently there are lot of those people, or people still on PS4. People who would play Monster Hunter Wilds for example but PS5 was too expensive for them.
All in all this is good as Sony is clearly trying to compete with Nintendo in Japan and not just giving up.

@Ralizah I disagree. The performance improvements alone make any cross-platform game compelling compared to SW2 versions. Elden Ring Night Reign isn't on Switch 2 so there is that.

@Ralizah This was basically a commercial aimed squarely at the Japanese market to encourage them to buy a PS5. They showed off what games they think Japanes gamers would be interested in and they annouced a Cheaper PS5. This wasn't for us.

Super excited for the Octopath Traveler 0 demo, and for the Japanese market getting a PS5 that's almost the exact same price as Switch 2 in Japan. Hopefully more people will get it.

Not surprised as Jin and the Samurai code would resonate with many more than a revenge tale would. But Yotei overall is such an incredible experience.

Glad we get to play both of these amazing games!

I played some more Digimon Story Time Stranger but this weekend is for me to (hopefully) complete Ghost of Yotei and start working on the platinum.

@Krlozgod LOL not yet. I don't get why its only 30fps but I can say that it honestly does make that big of difference in this game. I still wish it was there though.

Thankfully I haven't encountered any of these bugs but glad they got fixed. I really hope this game sold well cause I'm thoroughly enjoying it! 😃

I'm knee deep in Digimon Story Time Stranger and still loving it. I'm running what I call my Devils Rejects team: LadyDevimon, IceDeviemon and Lucemon.

I still enjoying Ghost of Yotei and will probably finish it in the next 2 weeks. My personal GOTY

Following Xbox is what got us here in the 1st place.

The biggest drawbacks for me are the facts it's UE5 and that I'm not sure how long the campaign will be. For what I presume will be a $70 game I'd like to know. But UE5 is the biggest issue.

After a long, hard work-week I'm ready to relax with some Digimon Story Time Stranger. The Nostalgia is kicking in! But I owe Atsu some attention as well so I'll play some Ghost of Yotei by tomorrow.
Heard Halo is coming to PS5. Thought it was "Just 4 games" 😏

It should release in 2028 IMO. Even then I probably won't buy it untill 2029 or 30.

Let Sucker Punch do the 3rd Ghost game and outsource ports of Infamous 1&2 and port the Sly Collection from PS3. After that let Sucker Puch do Infamous 4

Like most of us I'm fully enraptured by Ghost of Yotei after 37hrs. But I'm still sneaking in some Digimon Story Time Stranger (haven't made it to the Digital world yet though). What a Time to be gaming!

I'm 13hrs into Ghost of Yotei and it's incredible! It's so engaging I haven't even started Digimon Story Time Stranger yet which is already installed on my PS5. These are good times indeed!

Sorry, they took way too long to release the PAID DLC and 1 solitary free map and character. I dropped the game months ago and don't plan to return.

It sounds like this would have benefited from being an open world game. Is there enough variety in the Digi world environments to justify $70?

I've been playing Scarlet Nexus in the lead up to Ghost of Yotei/Digimon Story Time Stranger since it was on sale for $9. It's OK so far. I've also been watch CPL Cricket and the occasional NFL game so it's a mixed bag of entertainment 😅

It's a totally Digital weekend for me! I'll be playing the Digimon Story Time Stranger Demo which is even better than I thought it would be. I may play a bit more Triangle Strategy too as I wasn't really clicking with it until recently (took over 25 hrs and a difficulty change)

Horizon Forbidden West still take the cake for me. But Octopath Traveler 2, and Spider-man 2 are in my Top 5.

Cannot Wait to download this and try it for myself. I have high hopes for this game.

I'm skipping the SilkSong hype train and working on finishing up HZD Remastered and Oblivion remastered. I'm not enjoying Triangle Strategy so I'm gonna leave that alone for now.
