Publisher EA has announced that Star Wars Zero Company, the XCOM-but-Star Wars strategy game from Bit Reactor and Respawn, has now sold over a million copies.

The announcement comes via the game's official social channels:

Alongside the sales milestone, the post teases a new game update, version 1.2, which will be released next week.

It's not known exactly what this patch will do, but hopefully it addresses some of the game's rougher edges.

The turn-based strategy adventure has clearly landed with fans; Star Wars is a perfect fit for the genre, and despite its flaws, there's a lot of fun to be had in its tactical missions.

In related news, the game's lead development studio, Bit Reactor, has recently been able to return some of its furloughed staff to work off the back of Zero Company's success.

It's all pretty positive, then — hopefully the team can continue rebuilding itself and improve the game.
