This weekend will be full on FF7 Rebirth action, with a little Foamstars sprinkled in. I can't wait to finish work today 😁

@Dodoo Same here, the smooth combat tips the scales for me over bettert visuals in Rebirth.

60fps should be the target and well optimized. I have yet to play ANYTHING on PS5 in 30fps. I tried the 30 fps mode in the Stellar Blade demo and it was like bullet time it was so slow.

UE5 hasnt turned out to be quite as easy to use as advertised, and good performance takes alot of optimization based on the few games out that use it. Development might be going slower than expected.

@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah the que tines were too long. They've improved it since with a patch but depending on the time of day you still might be waiting upwards of 3 mins for a match sometimes🙁

Didnt know about the Skill gems, that will be interesting. I'll be looking forward to trying Chole out as I missed her in the Happy FriYay event before.

Welp I've given up in the Octopath Traveler 2 platinum... for now..... ( secret boss wiped the floor with me) so been playing through the "Story" mission in Foamstars

Tried the Stellar Blade demo it's pretty good.

Sounds like the Active Time Lore function in FF XVI but on your phone. This could really great if implemented well and frequently... IF

@slips666 yeah the OT1 boss on the island with the large Gates. I've littery done everything else in the game including the ending Epilogue. I feel like one day I will beat him but the frustration of trying after 126hrs was too great. Had to step away.

At this point... ok.

@slips666 The secret boss is just too tough. And to beat him I would have needed to focus on building 2 characters from early game who I frankly just didnt like playing as so they are my sone of my weakest. 🤷🏾‍♂️

But the Epilogue was so good I might revisit the fight later on, it's just that one trophy that I need.

If THIS is why the Spiderman 2 Multiplayer game was canceled Marvel done goofed!

Will definitely be revisiting Star Ocean 2 now. Gave up on platinuming Octopath 2 😪

This sounds like a really good idea. If the devs wont do it the players can. I would love to have this right now as I'm trying to platinum Octopath Traveler 2 and have to keep Googling different item locations every 3-4 mins.

No new games for me at the moment. Almost have the platinum for Octopath Traveler 2 then its Star Ocean 2 time. Still playing Foamstars as well.

Wow, I was thinking May for this but April 18 is surprising. I wont be finished with other games by then but I'll still buy the DLC down the line. 10 more hours of XVI cannot be passed up!

@awp69 I have the demo installed but I havent had the time to delve into it given its 8hrs.

I REALLY want to though. The "passive" battles gave me pause. What is it like not controlling a squad directly in those battles?

I'm only 2 trophies away from platinuming Octopath Traveler 2!
When that's finally finished I may dip back into Granblue Fantasy Relink or Push through a finish my 1st run of Star Ocean 2 Remake which I paused near the end. I might pick up Rebirth soon but wont play it right away.

Ah yes, and I'm still playing and enjoying Foamstars!

How does Aspyer keep getting Star Wars contracts when the games turn out like this? 1st they botched the Kotor 2 Remaster on Switch, never launched that dlc. Then fumbled the KOTOR Remake on PS5 and now here we are again.

I vowed to platinum Octopath Traveler 2 by the end of March so I'm working on that. Not sure I'll play much more of Granblue Fantasy Relink now that I reached level 100 with my main. Theres more upgrading to do but I'm not really seeing the point beyond bigger damage numbers. And the new season of Foamstars just started so I'm playing that.

I'll also be watching the Android saga of DBZ with the wife in honor of Akira Toriyama.

This is definitely on my "play this year" list but not right now. Not enough time and too many other games I nee to finish.

@Sakai Very true, neither of us know anything for certain.

My line of reasoning was that SE would make their forecast based on how many copies they THINK they will sell and not how many the NEED to sell to break even ect. For example based on Remake sales they expect to sell X but to make a profit they need to sell Y.

But obviously i dont know for sure.

@Sakai I dont look at it that way as the Exclusivity money isnt part of the sales forecast, but ok 🤷🏾‍♂️

@Sakai Pretty sure the money Sony paid for the exclusivity makes up for some of the "lost sales."

Good news for the dev team as they can focus on 1 platform to design and optimize for.

@naruball Same. Hopefully the rumors of GR2 PS5 and PC port are true and might help.

@Juanalf @naruball With Japan Studios having flops like The Last Guardian that took 9yrs to release or Gravity Rush 2 that was great but no one bought were the nails in the coffin. I dont think Knack 2 Electric Bugaloo sold alot either.

Dont forget Miles Morales also released on PS4/PS5 and "re-used" the map from the 1st game so it wouldnt have the same budget.

Boringly I'm not playing Rebirth this month so I'm grinding my to the Endgame difficulty in Granblue Fantasy Relink and playing Foamstars.

I'm also slowly making my way to the platinum for Octopath Traveler 2 and I have to sit down and give the Unicorn Overlord demo a try. Happy gaming everybody!

Its news to me that Sony Interactive Entertainment are printing discs for Square Enix.

Has this always been the case? Did they print the FFXVI discs too? Do they print ALL PS5 discs regardless of publishers?

@PopoverButton Oh I agree on both fronts. Batman Arkham was the Batman TAS Nostalgia we didnt know we needed at the time and the played a big part in Rocksteadys success. That's what its draft to not only abandon the Batman Arkham title ( marketing wise anyway) but the KILL OFF the most popular character in the franchise built on his name 🤣

@carlos82 Imagine TLoU part 2 but a live service game where you ONLY play as Abbey and crew hunting down the cast of the 1st game. That backlash would have been legendary 🤣
