You Can Now Try Final Fantasy Resonance for Yourself with Free Playable Demo on PS5

Publisher Square Enix has announced a playable demo for its upcoming HD-2D RPG, Final Fantasy Resonance.

The news comes via a new trailer for the game, which also reveals that everyone's favourite villain, Sephiroth, will appear in the game.

Available now on PS5, the demo (about 4.8 GB) allows you to play the entire first chapter of the game, giving you a good taste of the RPG's turn-based combat and cool visual style.

Pleasingly, your progress in the demo will carry over to the full game when it launches on 22nd October 2026, so you can continue your journey without having to replay the opening.
