Killzone 2

Some sort of Killzone project — most likely to be a remake of an older entry in the shooter franchise — is currently in the very early development stages, and Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly is probably making it.

Sources speaking to outlet MP1st claim Guerrilla Games is collaborating with a third-party studio on a Killzone remake, and there are strong indications it's People Can Fly. The Outriders team is actually already confirmed to be working on a PS5 game based on a Sony IP, unveiled as Project Delta last year.

Back then, all that was said was the Poland-based studio had entered "production of a prototype of a new video game codenamed Project Delta (the "Product"), based on intellectual property rights belonging to [the] Publisher".

MP1st believes that project to be a Killzone remake.

The website was told this was meant to be Guerrilla Games' next main focus after finishing Horizon Hunters Gathering, but that might have changed now the game is being retooled into a more traditional multiplayer effort. Supposedly, this new Killzone project will be out before Horizon 3, despite how early in development the remake is supposed to be.

Recently, it was reported only a "tiny team" is making the third Horizon single player entry at the moment.

It's assumed that the remake will be of the original PS2 game, but if you had the choice, which Killzone game would you bring back for a remake? Post your pick in the comments below.
