I dabbled in the new season of Foamstars but I havent gotten back to Rebirth just yet, hoping to on monday as it's a holiday here.

I would absolutely play this! Would be cool if they ran through the story of Zero Dawn through Forbidden West but just shoot a Lego thunderjaw and watching the piece fall off would be dope.

@Blaze215 I agree with you 100% I'm at 53hs and just to to Cosmo canyon but I just stopped engaging with everything except what's needed to progress. The mini games are getting to be too much. I too am desperately avoiding spoilers.
Sadly alot of this was in the original (didnt like it there either) so I know why it's in Rebirth but still, it's too much.

I might give Tunic a try and the demo for the India Hero game.

I'm a console gamer and I dont mind the games going to PC a few months late. But the PC player base is a different beast so I hope Sony really know what they're doing.

But since buying off the PS Store requires a PSN account how would those players even do it in those countries?

They likely already have PSN accounts from a different region because it's super easy to make one.

@BeerIsAwesome If I had to guess: a small amount. Most have long since been using US accounts because of things like this so the number of actual sales wont be impacted that much. And people have VPNs now, they'll just change there location and buy it. I know 3 Caribbean friends who do exactly that and made US and Japanese PSN accounts.

Glad to get a new map but at this point I dont think anyone plays Happy Bath Survival so it's a bit of a waste. Game is still fun though.

Gamepass didnt help as much as they thought.

@Americansamurai1 @Deadlyblack I dont buy that either. They were so happy when trophies were coming to GoT and having to signing to PSN wasnt a problem then. Funny how the platform with the most piracy is upset about an extra step of authentication 🤔

Another manufacturered outrage over a nothing-burger. And this comes from a person who has made 2 US based accounts and a Japan PSN account while not living in either country.

I hope people just play and enjoy GoT cause it was my personal GOTY in 2020.

The 3rd party exclusives have been good. I dont expect GG and Insomniac ect. to release a game every year so this is a fine way to fill the gap.

Gonna be focusing on Rebirth this weekend while trying to finish watching Godzilla Minus One which was pretty good so far. Have a good one folks!

@NEStalgia Well said 😂 I think those who like XVI but dump on XIII havent actually played XIII. And now Twitter begs for a XIII trilogy remaster every chance they get.

As a FNC fan who believes we got duped by them saying they always planned XIII as a Trilogy to encompass FNC while cheating us out of Versus XIII (XV is NOT Versus just by another name imo) I really enjoyed all the mother crystal talk in XVI. Shout out to Type-0 who did nothing wrong as was actually good.

@NEStalgia I always really liked XIII and its lore so I was enjoying all of that in XVI 😂 It really should have been a Fabula Nova Chrystallis game. I think the XIII hate was overblown as evidenced by how much ppl like similar things in different packages (stagger system in Remake/Rebirth came straight from XIII)

I'm knee deep in Rebirth right now but I will buy this DLC and play it later this year. I loved XVI!

@Mikey856 Preaching to the choir on that one, I'm still impressed by the loading in Rebirth and it's not even cross gen. I was just saying that some people complained about the similarities. But for me personally playing Forbidden West on PS4 then playing Burning Shores on PS5 at 60fps was all it took.

@thefourfoldroot1 I've heard some (DF) complain that this gen the consoles were "too similar" or "basically the same box" to be interesting but fact is that without exclusives the actual differences are not obvious and it seems like they are the same. Not sure why people hate exclusives other than Console warriors.

@Shepherd_Tallon As I understand it which features they implement or how many is up to the devs. It's just required that at least some are implemented to get the "Pro Enhanced" stamp.

It's a bit sad that Sony and others have to make mandates to get devs to take advantage of new hardware. But at least it means we should get a better experience.

@DaniPooo I agree. Theres no way SE wont re-release all 3. I just wish it wouldnt be so long of a wait for part 3

@GamingFan4Lyf Right there with you. Parents dont screen what their kids watch/play and just buy whatever they ask for. Or the kids buy it themselves and the parents say nothing. Makes the whole rating system almost pointless.

@GamingFan4Lyf I would agree except GTA 5 exists. Clearly age ratings dont restrict the way they used.

Just arrived in Costa Del Sol in Rebirth and I need to start Season 3 of Foamstars but atm I'm at work with my PS Vita playing Sly Cooper 4

@DaniPooo oh definitely. But so far I can only think of 1 or 2 games like Robocop that run even close to 60fps on console using UE5. And with what Part 3 would entail I doubt that would be a stable 60.

I think of it like how Rocksteady made Arkham Knight on UE3 look better than even some games today, by sticking with what they knew and modifying it to suit their needs.

I was hoping dev on part 3 would be even quicker (2026) but I guess its is gonna be a big finale.

@Bentleyma I actually hope not cause UE5 is very heavy performance-wise. Yea it would be a nice visual upgrade but if we thought performance mode looked ugly now on UE4...

@8bit4Life @Belmont So far at least, the mini games havent gotten on my nerves. It's funny that this is what so many complained XVI was lacking.

@UltimateOtaku91 I was thinking the same but everyone who plays it loves it. I've held off on it purely due to time (spent 128hrs almost platinuming Octopath 2 and put 44 hrs into Foamstars) then I started Rebirth. But I think Unicron will be my turnbased game for the summer months.

@UltimateOtaku91 Fair point. I did buy GBF Relink at launch and opted to wait till last week to buy Rebirth. So many other might have too.

And I agree, other big titles like Dead Space Remake would love to have 2 Million on one platform. SF6 comes to mind and none of these great games are considered to be doing poorly. I
still need to try Unicron Overlord demo 🤔

With the way people online talk about I was expecting it to sell more than XVI did at launch. Granted I didnt buy it untill a week ago.

I wonder how many copies have been sold but not played yet. I know people who have bought the game and not even installed it yet so its possible.

Sad to see as the game is fun and music is great.

@mariomaster96 Same, it was like a Cooler looking alternative to FF15 at that time. Not XVI DLC is gonna drop before even get a firm release date for it. At this point I couldnt care less. They will have market the hell out of it to change that.

@BAMozzy TBF MTX would not put me off of Horizon if it like DD2 where it's not NECESSARY to buy the extras.

I just meant that the 3 yrs of Early Access (while clearly helping the game to be just what the audience wanted from it) isnt something that most other studios or games could get away with. Monterey Hunter maybe but not a game like Uncharted for example.

@BAMozzy @AverageGamer I agree with that. But (im open to correction in this) being in Early Access for 3 yrs is kinda similar to being a live service. Making money while the game evolves from player feedback. It's not a model most studios could successfully follow.

It seems it's not so much that Larian were "smarter" than others but that just had the right circumstances at the right time 🤷🏾‍♂️
