They have zero respect for their user base. At this point, I'm beginning to hope that TES VI is a spectacular disaster and Bethesda goes the way of BioWare. I honestly feel they would deserve that. And that is coming from someone who has LOVED their games for decades.

Who f@#king cares anymore? Pearl Abyss has done more in one year than Bethesda has done in the last ten years. BGS has spent the last decade-plus tasting themselves and believing they are the smartest people in every room, and it's gotten them to the brink of extinction. Congratulations.

If I want something, I buy it. If it's not a good deal at the moment, I wait until it is. I couldn't care less about what you lot are doing, or what you're paying for your games. It does not affect me at all.

But for those of you who are just looking for something to whinge about, I suppose this is as good as any other reason to do so.

If they are dumb and arrogant enough to make TES VI exclusive, it will be the final nail in the Xbox coffin.

Xbox doesn't have enough of an install base anymore for exclusives to make sense for them. They need to worry about selling their games on as many platforms as possible if they want to make money.

Nothing that is my cup of tea, but at least they are quality games this month.

And for the "you own nothing!" crowd, yes Sony could decide to arbitrarily take away your digital games, that is a possibility, no matter how remote. It's also possible that human corpses could reanimate, and anybody living near a graveyard will become zombie food. Both scenarios are technically possible, but bloody unlikely.

It was never sustainable to have a policy where every first-party game went to Game Pass on release. I feel like a high school economics class could have figured that out on the first day of the semester.

Video games are my main hobby, and I could not have less excitement for the PS6 than I currently do. I imagine it will be years before I even feel like I might need an upgrade in that regard. Good luck, Sony, you're going to need it if you think you're successfully launching the PS6 any time soon. Emphasis on "successfully".

They made some incredible games from 2007-2012, but it's been a LONG time since they've made anything near the quality of those titles. Dragon Age: Origins is one of the most memorable RPGs of my lifetime, and it's a shame they didn't continue the series in that direction. I didn't play the Mass Effect games until I played the Legendary editions in 2021, and it was one of the best video game experiences I've ever had. Hopefully everybody left who is effected by this lands on their feet. Maybe some day, a studio will pry the Dragon Age IP from EA's cold, lifeless hands and make a spiritual successor to Origins...

As soon as I read "free-to-play" I stop reading and start looking for something else.

I could not care less about a PS6 right now. Releasing any kind of new hardware in the next 12-24 months would be basically pissing into the wind for Sony, for a multitude of reasons.

The fact is that we are all pawns in a game of divide-and-conquer that most of us don't even realize is being played.

It's kind of crazy that the biggest launch in gaming history isn't even coming to PC initially. So much for that master race nonsense.

I love Skyrim, I've put hundred of hours into versions on the 360, PC and PS4/PS5 respectively over the years. But I have zero motivation or incentive to shell out $20 for fan made content. Not going to happen. I'm not saying I should get it for free, people should absolutely be paid for their work. I'm just saying their work doesn't interest me.

I can't say what it was like at launch, but I played DD2 for the first time last month, and it was an absolute blast! I'm for sure coming back for this!

The biggest obstacle for something like this succeeding in a mainstream market is the lack of opportunities for people to use the device, in any capacity, without having to purchase it first.

Legion?! Really? Hopefully somebody who makes decisions around there wakes up soon and realizes that WATCH DOGS 2 is the correct answer to the question "which game should we remake?"

The thing that should worry us is that a LOT of people are going to be stupid enough to pay those prices, because FOMO. And Sony will be paying very close attention.

I literally just spent the last 14 hours playing this on PS5 and the only thing I even noticed was the slight hitch when it autosaves. Maybe I was too busy having fun? Some people get off on looking for trouble I guess.

They were great games for the time, but I don't know that I have any desire to revisit them. Maybe it's been too long since I played them. What a waste of a great system though (Nemesis)

After bouncing off of it two years ago, I'm currently playing DD2 and loving it. The recent changes to the base game are HUGE improvements.

Lake was such a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed it.

I'll give it a shot in a year or two when it's significantly cheaper, simply because of how much I've enjoyed Insomniac's Spider-Man games. But otherwise superhero stuff has never really been my thing. I've never even seen a single Marvel movie, so it's not like I'm the target audience here.

I'll play GTA VI at some point, but I prefer to sit out these massive herd moments, for my own sanity. I'll probably check it out early next year. OoT remake looks incredible, but I doubt I'll ever own a Switch 2.

I don't even want to hear about any next gen consoles right now honestly. The last thing the video game industry needs right now is new hardware. My god.

I don't understand what Xbox hopes to accomplish by going back to any sort of console-exclusivity. You lost the war, boys. Most people are locked into a digital ecosystem by now, to the extent that they are not going to hop the fence for one game. PlayStation outsells Xbox by what, 4:1 now or something like that? Coupled with their Day 1 policy for first-party games hitting GamePass, all I see is a recipe for Xbox to continue to lose money.

Microsoft needs to accept the reality that their only way forward is as a multi-platform publisher. I guess they are the last ones to figure this out.

Great month IMO. I'll play The Show 26 for sure, and both Chained Echoes and Wobbly Life look promising to me. I'll take it.

If I had an Xbox, I would immediately start hunting down cheap discs to turn into digital gold, like the 21st century version Rumpleforeskin or whatever that guy's name was.

That said, if it's a single player game with microtransactions, then they can go funk themselves.

These comments sections rarely agree as a unit, but I guarantee if you pull up one of the articles from years back about Sony deciding to make a live service push, damn near all of us were saying this would be a spectacular flop and WTF are they doing. I've never spent a dime on live service anything and never will.

@HOWARDSROCK Facebook and Twitter are social media, not news sites. CNN isn't picking this up. That's the point I was trying to make. This a small minority that feels loud because of the echo chamber of internet outrage. It's been pointed out numerous times, by myself and others, that the only way to make a difference, if you're angry, is to stop spending money on PlayStation anything, period. But most of the outrage warriors will never do that, hence this is mostly performative and will accomplish squat.

1) This will accomplish literally nothing
2) Enjoy punishing yourselves
3) Most of the participants will still be giving their money to Sony somehow, someway
4) This is the only site on the entire internet that even considers this news

Too bad it means nothing, since most likely 85% of the people crying online are still preordering games, ponying up for PS Plus and still giving Sony their money six ways from Sunday. It's actually kind of funny in a really twisted way.

@Ludacritz I'm in the same boat, I put in over 100 hours and platinumed the game in the weeks immediately after it launched. I experienced maybe half a dozen crashes or bugs that I even noticed, no trolling. The state of the game wasn't nearly as bad as people were making it out to be at the time, at least not in my experience. I wasn't looking for problems though, I was too busy having fun.

I'm over 300 hours in and still wrapping up the last of the Challenges. Easily my GOTY for 2026, and there's no competition. This is the most fun I've had with a game since Baldur's Gate 3.

@WolfyTn for what it's worth, I bounced off of KCD1 so hard that I actually felt sort of hustled, and I criticized Warhorse online for years because of it.

KCD2 was my GOTY last year (over Expedition 33 even) and I've since replayed it and the DLC, got the platinum trophy during the first playthrough and have north of 300 hours into today. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did!
