Literally the last thing the world needs right now is a game full of sexual violence. I hope the game is a colossal failure for that reason alone.

This is excellent news, as long as one thing is true; I do not want Warhorse to treat the LOTR game like KCD, meaning I don't want it to be "realistic", like I want magic, I want a power fantasy simulator basically. If they're capable of that, then I'm beyond excited for it (and whatever the new KC adventure means). But if they're making LOTR set in KCD style universe with with all the survival type stuff, no thanks.

I can't even remember what the last Xbox-exclusive "system seller" was? They didn't have one during the Xbone gen, and they haven't had one this gen either. So the 360 days? Which was, what, 15+ years ago now?

How do you all continue to take yourselves seriously pumping out this kind of content? Serious question.

@Oram77 is a 7/10 score bad? No, at face value, it is not. Now, am I going to spend $70 as well as invest hours upon hours of my time on a 7/10. Almost always, the answer is no.

I do the same thing with the user scores on the PS store. If the average rating of a game isn't at least 4.0 then I'm not going to bother with it.

Not trying to be nihilistic, but the truth is that if digital libraries ever DO get wiped out, it's probably due to the collapse of greater infrastructure due to war/global conflict of some kind. So even if your digital library ever does vanish, you'll have MUCH bigger fish to fry anyway so it's kind of pointless to worry about.

It's actually embarrassing af that a developer with the resources and brand recognition that Bethesda has can't get a port of 3 year old game to run acceptably. This is stuff that you wouldn't expect from a halfway decent studio on their first project. There's an arrogance within that studio that is so nauseating at this point, like at least have enough respect for yourself to release games that run. It's like if the next James Cameron movie was just raw footage without actual shots or edits of any kind, and he just shrugs his shoulders and says "it just works." Imagine how humiliating that would be, for everyone involved. That's Bethesda right now.

Bethesda lost the plot when they decided that what they wanted to make was more important than what their audience wanted them to make. I can't really simplify it more than that.

I'm 15 years + in the PlayStation ecosystem at this point. MS could release a game that would give me a massage, drive me to work and prepare meals for me and I would still be like "I'm not buying an Xbox."

It's a great game, no question. But it absolutely did not deserve the amount of awards it got. RPG of the Year over KCD2? Get the ***** out of here. E33 is the rare game that is truly exceptional, yet somehow still a bit overrated.

I don't see anybody specifically celebrating people losing their jobs and/or studios closing. That's never a good thing. But these guys made pretty crappy games in all honesty, so all the comments mourning this monumental loss (read that with a sarcastic tone) just reeks of virtue signaling. Spiders had several bites at the apple, and produced weak to mediocre-at-best results each and every time. Being honest about that doesn't make somebody a bad person.

In the last few months there's been auto racing, golf, now soccer and I'm pretty confident there was another one in there somewhere...NO MORE SPORTS TITLES FOR A WHILE PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

I don't understand why people are surprised by this at this point. It's freaking 2026, expecting a full game to be on a disc and require no downloads/updates is PS2 era type stuff.

It's basically posturing at this point. It's the same 5 people crying about this, and the box of tissues is almost empty. Time a find a new crusade.

This site really shills the Pro, doesn't it? Obviously I would expect that a game would look better on upgraded hardware. What I wouldn't expect is for that information to be necessary to make an article about.

Please be Odyssey. One of my absolute favorites of the PS4 era, I would happily play through it again on PS5. That game was incredible.

Yes, I am aware of how recent Odyssey is. I don't care. I never played the stealth-based AC games, so I have no attachment to them whatsoever.

This will be my next purchase, I can say that with absolute certainty. I was skeptical due to the lack of console footage prior to release, but they have won my ass over.

What is there to discuss? It would take multiple generations of comfortably outperforming PlayStation consoles (which doesn't seem likely, does it?) before exclusivity would justify the money they would leave on the table by pulling their games off of Sony and Nintendo platforms.

Congrats to them. Unfortunately for me, I don't enjoy any of their games. But I'm just happy to see somebody succeed in the cesspool that is the modern video game industry.

Microsoft still doesn't have an equivalent to platinum trophies though. I'll take Sony's system, even with the new bells and whistles they have over on Xbox.

@LogicStrikesAgain You raise a good point. Even when going against a base console though, the difference (to my eyes) is the visual equivalent to getting an extra slice of cheese on a Big Mac, which to me does not warrant a $950 purchase.

It's funny how many times I see such-and-such game is massively improved on the Pro, and then I see side-by-side images that look identical to my eyes.

Same thing happened to me. One day back in 1973, I was playing pong with the lads and I said "you know, I bet you could make a game more involved than this" and then BOOM 40 years later GTA V drops and I was like "that was my idea!"

If Starfield had been made by someone other than BGS, it would have a reputation similar to that of Forspoken. I actually like Forspoken, for the record. But Starfield was not a good game when I played it in 2023, and I have doubts that it could have changed THAT much.

I'll probably check out the Sword Art game at some point, but I have no interest in the TR games and LOTF has been a dud twice now.

I'm done with Bethesda until I see TES VI and Fallout 5, and if those don't land then I'm done for good. But I have zero interest in indulging in their pet project that is the main reason for the continued absence of the games I mentioned above.

We're being priced out of life, just very gradually.

I'll check it out at some point once a few more patches have hit, it definitely looks like there is fun to be had once the game is in better condition and perhaps some QoL improvements.

First game was a stinker, they tried it again (with literally the same title) and it was a stinker again. Give it up already. I'll be skipping this one.

Sonic Frontiers is the first Sonic game I've ever played, and I had a ton of fun with it. If this is a free update/upgrade for existing owners I may check it out, but I'm not buying the game twice if that is what Sega is going for.

Another in a chorus line of reasons to NOT PRE ORDER GAMES.

I'm a huge fan of both the recent God of War games for PS4/PS5 but this doesn't interest me in the slightest. Not because it's smaller in scope, but because the gameplay in no way resembles the games that I enjoyed, and this type of game holds no interest to me. But there is a market for smaller first-party titles, no question.

@GamerDad76 I came here to say the same thing, Kimulator's Films produces nothing but garbage shovelware and the PS Store would be much better off without their inclusion.
