Will Avowed eventually come to PS5? Nothing has been made official up until this point, but a port of the Xbox RPG has been speculated upon for an age, given the Team in Green's continued multiplatform push.
And now we might have an inkling as to when Avowed could jump the fence. Developer Obsidian — which very recently launched The Outer Worlds 2 on Sony's system — has delayed a major update out of 2025 and into February 2026.
The newly established timing means that the patch will now coincide with Avowed's one-year anniversary. What's more, the team claims that this is going to be "our biggest update yet", as it looks to pack even more stuff into the patch.
Previously, Obsidian had listed features like New Game+, a photo mode, new cosmetic options, and much more for this update, so it'll be interesting to see just how big it becomes.
So, as you can imagine, the latest theory is that Avowed will be heading to PS5 around the time of this massive patch.
"Stay tuned as we head into the new year for more details on what’s planned for the Living Lands," the studio states.
