Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for September 2024?

tangyzesty

I'm actually happy for once. Most months, to me anyway, it seems we get some indie title I couldn't care less about or some garden variety online shooter. For once, there are not one, but two, games that could see myself spending a lot of time with (Quidditch and MLB) I know a lot of you are pissed but I'm just happy to have what I consider a good month for once.

Re: Things Are Getting Worse for Floundering PS5, PC FPS Concord

tangyzesty

I'm beyond tired of the GaaS nonsense, so I'm glad that it's failing while concurrently a single player game is ruling the world. Get the hint, Sony. Sure, a tiny handful of those games reach the level of Fortnite, PUBG, Apex, but they're the outliers, the ones in a million. And I've never even played those games either. GaaS BS is also why the new Dragon Age has taken a decade.

Re: GTA 6 Won't Be on Subs Like PS Plus at Launch Because Take-Two Makes 'Rational' Decisions

tangyzesty

The only reason Microsoft is sticking to the day 1 GP nonsense is because they literally have no other option, other than just outright killing off GP altogether. This is what it looks like when companies make decisions based on hubris, and pride, instead of rational thought and logic. Of course nobody expects GTA VI to launch on PS Plus or GP, are you kidding me? It's already proven the model doesn't work, Xbox is just going down with the ship.

Re: Elden Ring 'Really the Limit' for How Large FromSoftware's Games Can Be

tangyzesty

@Frmknst difference of opinion, to me Valhalla was WAY more bloated. I loved Elden Ring so much that after I got the platinum, I turned it right back on and platinumed the PS4 version 2 months later. When I finished AC Valhalla, I never wanted to see it, or any AC game ever again. To the point that I skipped Mirage. See the difference?

Re: New Elden Ring Patch 1.13 Buffs Skills and Summons, Weapon Types Better

tangyzesty

@Dom_31 I think you and I have differing tastes, which means by rules of the internet we must be sworn enemies now...in all seriousness I'm glad that you've had a positive experience with it. FromSoft games are not my cup of tea usually, and I used Save Wizard to neuter the hell out of Elden Ring, so there's a good chance I'm simply not the target audience for it as well.

Re: Video: Our Most Anticipated PS5 Games Of Late 2024

tangyzesty

Hopefully Kingdom Come 2 is an improvement, because I bought that first turd at launch and felt hustled. Doing chores around my house was more fun than playing that game. I think I turned it off to change my cats' litter boxes and never went back. Really excited for the new Dragon Age and Astro Bot though.

Re: Poll: Are You Sick of Soulslike Games?

tangyzesty

The only reason I wish there were less is because obviously I would prefer development teams make game that I AM interested in. I did love Elden Ring, but I also used Save Wizard to neuter the hell out of it. Otherwise, hard pass on soulslike for me.

Re: Capcom Says It Won't Give Up on Physical Games, Despite Utter Domination of Digital Sales

tangyzesty

I don't think that physical games are ridiculous, it's good to have options. I DO, however, think people who are dying to tell you how they ONLY use physical media because blah blah blah ARE ridiculous. Great, you don't value convenience. Not everybody does.

And the whole "what happens if you lose your accont..." all I can say is, if we are ever at a point where major infrastructure is falling apart to that level, I think my library of digital games will be pretty freaking far down on my list of immediate priorities.

Re: PS5 Pro Is Seemingly Starting to Appear in Source Code

tangyzesty

To me the PS4 Pro made sense, 4K had blown up since the release of the base PS4, and the upgrade felt significant. I was in the middle of playing Horizon Zero Dawn when I switched and it was a massive difference.

There really isn't a need for a mid-generation upgrade, especially when last gen doesn't even feel over yet. It's a cash grab, and I'm not falling for it.

Re: EA Sports College Football 25 Sells 2.2 Million Copies for $100

tangyzesty

No offense intended to anyone, but spending an extra $30 essentially just to play 3 days early is a genius way to help idiots part with their money. I'll never understand the mentality of "OMG, I can play 72 hours earlier than everyone else? That makes me feel important! Of course I'll pay an additional amount equal to nearly 45% of the regular price!" Phrased that like it sounds ridiculous.
