Re: PS5 Firmware Update Annoys with Unwanted Deluge of Ads, News Feed

tangyzesty

It's almost as if Sony is saying "we've got too many people supporting us, how can we piss off our player base?" and have been making decisions the past month with that mindset. I haven't touched my PS5 in over 2 weeks, and I'm a guy who usually plays like 30-40 hours a week no BS. They're really alienating me right now though.

Re: Don't Nod 'Disappointed' by Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Jusant Sales

tangyzesty

Banishers was good (I rented it from GameFly) but I ended up returning it before I finished it...it's decent, but after a while it just felt like I was doing the same thing over again, and the story wasn't engaging enough and the gameplay loop not fun enough to get me to carry on...it's a quality game, but definitely wait for sale type.

Re: PS5's Building Insurmountable Lead Over Rival, Outselling Xbox Almost 3:1

tangyzesty

Anyone paying attention isn't surprised by this, Xbox never really recovered from the disaster that was the reveal of the XBone. Unfortunately for them, that was the gen where people established digital libraries in their respective ecosystems, making it VERY unlikely (and financially punitive) to "switch sides."

This is the last generation of Xbox consoles.

Re: Sony Priming 'Even Less Exciting' PS5 Remaster for State of Play

tangyzesty

It's funny, after playing HZD in 2017 (and again after DLC) I felt like it was one of the best games of the PS4 gen. Forbidden West was quality, but kind of redundant, and unlike it's predecessor I have no urge to play it a 2nd time or check out the DLC. I guess I'm not the only player the franchise hasn't aged particularly well for. I could make a list of 10 potential future games I'd love to be able to play right now, and a new Horizon game wouldn't be on it.

Re: Vince Zampella Defends PS5 Pro Price, Says 'It's Actually Not That Bad'

tangyzesty

People do realize that it's not just the price that has people feeling some type of way about this, right? The fact that half of new games are still being released on PS4 sends a pretty strong message, to me, that an upgrade is NOT NECESSARY. Which essentially renders the PS5 Pro as what, an idiot test? I don't care how inexpensive the machine would be, it's mere existence is what I find insulting.

Re: Lack of Competition from Xbox Partly Why PS5 Pro Is $700, Says Analyst

tangyzesty

Xbox has released their last console, outside of Series X/S revisions we aren't going to see a "next-gen Xbox" or anything like that. If the PS5 Pro included a disc drive and a stand for $700, I wouldn't be angry at all. But removing those things, selling them for extra, and THEN selling the Pro for $700 is a dick move, and I hope it sells worse than that Rob & Fab CD those guys made after they got kicked out of Milli Vanilli or whatever.

Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November

tangyzesty

@nedbvai you probably should talk to a mental health professional about your need to feel superior over others, it's really not healthy. It's insane to me that I read a grown up say "I don't want everybody to have this" as if it affects you one bit whether 1 or 1 billion other people have the console. Whoever hurt you, I'm sorry mate, I really am.

Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November

tangyzesty

I already thought it was unnecessary before I saw the price point, but now knowing the price AND that it ships without a disc drive, I've gone from general apathy to actually feeling some type of way towards Sony and thinking maybe it's time to cultivate a new hobby or two.

Re: PS5 Pro Showcase Coming Today, Hosted by Mark Cerny

tangyzesty

I think it's the wrong move honestly. How is Sony going to argue that the full potential of the PS5 has been realized, when they're still releasing a substantial amount of new games for PS4? I'm a diehard PlayStation fan, but I'm not going near a PS5 Pro, there's no point in my eyes.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for September 2024?

tangyzesty

I'm actually happy for once. Most months, to me anyway, it seems we get some indie title I couldn't care less about or some garden variety online shooter. For once, there are not one, but two, games that could see myself spending a lot of time with (Quidditch and MLB) I know a lot of you are pissed but I'm just happy to have what I consider a good month for once.

Re: Things Are Getting Worse for Floundering PS5, PC FPS Concord

tangyzesty

I'm beyond tired of the GaaS nonsense, so I'm glad that it's failing while concurrently a single player game is ruling the world. Get the hint, Sony. Sure, a tiny handful of those games reach the level of Fortnite, PUBG, Apex, but they're the outliers, the ones in a million. And I've never even played those games either. GaaS BS is also why the new Dragon Age has taken a decade.
