Taking my time on my first play through of Resident Evil Requiem. Loving it so far. So atmospheric. Looks & runs amazing too on base PS5

I've not finished it but I would be saying 9 so far. It could push to a 10. That's more likely than dropping as so far so very very very good

Day one purchase for me. Been waiting for this since it came out on Xbox

@lazarus11 it's not what I'd do. I'm taking my time (mixture of how I like to play games and lack of time) but if this guy is concerned only with length and not quality that would be my suggestion to them.

@TheArt I would rather have a game that's solid with no filler than one that is repetitive and gets boring as it goes on too long personally.

If you are that concerned buy it, complete it quickly and sell or while demands still high

@Old-Red I've been busy so not had much time on it unfortunately but from what I've played it's awesome

I pre-ordered it from Amazon in early February and it was £48 when I did. Now it's £60 and they say expecting in 9th March.

That must be a good indicator that it sold better than anticipated

Goy requiem yesterday. Had a quick blast before but got a busy weekend so won't get much time on it.

So far it looks stunning and runs perfectly. Can't wait to get stuck in to it

My copy arrived this afternoon but been busy today. Installed ready to play soon. Saturday evening or Sunday at some point

If it's not making enough it makes sense to stop it and use the money they put into the PC ports for other projects

@stefan771 I don't recall any delays for it. Especially not just before launch.

If Mouse: PI launches as a technical mess after this delay then it will just show that maybe it needed another delay.

I genuinely don't think you get the concept that most gamers will accept delays to get a better gaming experience.

In fact I'm not even sure either of us know what point you are trying to make lol

The logical thing to do would be to follow through on all announced games for PS5/Switch etc but announce no further ports until they know what they want to do.

Imagine sinking money into PS5 versions, announcing them and then backtracking trying to please what's now dangerously becoming a niche market (the Xbox hard cores who don't have a PS5 too)

What? Firstly there's a difference between accepting a delay and celebrating one.

Secondly a delay can often be the difference between a game getting released broken and one getting released in a healthy state.

If this delay helps them deliver the game in a better state then it's something those who are interested in the game (like me) can accept.

Would you rather we got games released with less time in the oven needing more and more post release patches?

Cause you can see from the fan response to High on life 2 that doesn't go down well

@ErrantRob how is your sensitivity to frame rate issues? Does it feel smooth or bit choppy?

I'll likely get it after requiem as think it looks like bioshock crossed with RE village lol

I'm continuing on Cronos the new dawn. (Highly recommended).

And bought the Gex trilogy for nostalgia and something completely different to Cronos 🤣

@ErrantRob I heard that crisol runs really bad on PS5 but it looks awesome. May try it out down the line

@ShadowRJ yeah 1 looks great but it's not a particularly good game. Too many difficultty spikes and blind jumps required

Loved that game.

Another example where a demo got me on board. Until the demo came out I had no interest in it then played the demo and got my wife to get me it for my birthday.

My kids play this. One doesn't have chat so can't be groomed and the other is older and been told to be wary of strangers on it.

I cannot get my head around how it's so popular.

I loved the first one but there was no way I was paying £49.99 for this and that was before I found out it couldn't keep to 60fps at under 1080p

I bought the original at around £25 and will get this one when it's down to that price as I do still want to play it

From what I've played I feel 7 feels fair

@Dragon83 have you played the original trilogy? They are not Metroidvania games in anyway shape or form

I prefer the 2018 gameplay style but feel they should maintain the original trilogy gameplay.

What's wrong with wanting longer out of the console you paid over £400 for?

I personally would welcome a delay into 2028 or more. Get that most out of ps5 before going next gen and then having the early life cycle issues of scarcity and lack of games

It's got to be a rights issue. Cant imagine they would risk this sort of backlash if their hands weren't tied

Id welcome a longer wait. Feel we've not seen all PS5 can offer just yet anyway

From the couple of hours I've played it's great.

I loved the first one and this sequel looks even better so I can't wait.

If get a lull in games at some point may revisit the 1st one

It screams single player game to me personally and that's what I bought it for.

Not much today as out all day but when I get to the new 2d god of war and Cronos new dawn now it's been patched

@Rich33 100% works with trials on plus. I bought cult of the lamb and shadow warrior 3 on the basis of trials (and PSN discounts to be fair)

Just had a blast on it. Very good. I'll be buying this.

Demo's are back and they work. I've gone from thinking about getting this to definitely getting it

God of war is too big an IP for Sony to not market a game in the build up to launch.

If they have no faith in it I would bet they would quietly cancel it rather than do a shadow drop

I loved series 1 but felt they padded the early parts a bit and rushed the ending.

Series 2 wasn't as bad as some suggest in my opinion but definitely not as good as the first.

It is telling when you watch side by side clips of the game cut scenes and the show in most cases they had already done it better at the 1st attempt

@Sakai it does seem low. Suppose depends on size of the studio. Steam is overflowing with cheap crap and we're unlikely to want a significant amount of these on any console so maybe that's a factor?

It's low as PC is good dumping ground for small or poor devs

The gap is only likely to grow unless the next Xbox beats PS6 to the market by a significant amount of time like in 360/PS3 generation.

For current gen only devs will go where the player's are and that's on PS5 and Switch 1 but Switch one is now legacy tech.

Xbox are not helping matters by releasing Xbox games on PS5. There's barely any incentive for anyone to chose a series X over PS5 anymore

I'm curious to try this. The sweet spot for me will be when it's around £15

Not everyone is into trophies, I like many would rather have a wider choice of games where not all have trophies than a small amount where they all do.

@Fox-McCloud astro is my favourite platinum I've earned. It was pure enjoyment from start to finish

The remake could possibly be one of the cancelled games. Hope not.

Ubi should give more appreciation to the franchise that helped shape it.
