Capcom continues to knock it out of the park with its latest game, the very well-received Resident Evil Requiem.
The horror action game launched just before the weekend on 27th February 2026, and its first few days on the market appear to have been very strong indeed.
The data for physical UK sales has come in, and while it represents only a small percentage of the overall picture, it may be indicative of broader trends; we suspect Requiem has done extremely well.
It debuts at number one in the UK physical games chart, with 54 per cent of those copies being for the PS5 version.
Christopher Dring, editor-in-chief of The Game Business, says its launch weekend was "much bigger" than that of Resident Evil Village and the remake of Resident Evil 4, the last two major games in the series.
Capcom is also in the top 10 with Monster Hunter Wilds, which jumps from 25th to 10th place.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has also made a leap, from 15th to number seven. Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 slips from sixth to ninth.
Elsewhere, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and Mortal Kombat 1 are both in the top 10 too; the former sits at number five, and the latter in eighth.
Here's the full top 10 (physical sales only).
