@Brundleflies21 this is very true. I quite liked Abzu but haven't really played many of the other similars because as you say they just seem likr the same art style but without the genius twist that made Journey so special
These are the kind of games that are ideal to launch on PS Plus / Extra imo. More of things like this and Stray would likely get people like myself to subscribe
I don't even have VR2 but I would love there to be a big reveal for a AAA on there
None of these really excite me tbh. We've already got a solid line up of games coming up over the next year, so I'm mostly just interested to see if there are a handful of other new reveals that will appeal to me
Game just looks pretty dull in honesty and the marketing strategy has been awful
I (and many others) want to love games like this, and it may well find a niche home for some that enjoy it because of this, despite it not being all that
I don't like difficulty modes as I usually feel they either water down the experience, or provide frustration. Much prefer just a set gameplay that's properly balanced as intended
That said, I loved this game so happy to trust the developers on this
My biggest issues with Part 2 were always in the 2nd half of the game, so I'm a bit surprised they've managed to seemingly disappoint so many already
I think the writing and direction of the show has been off since the start tbh. It's felt to me that it's lacking in depth. The show would be at its best when it expands on elements from the game, but they've mostly just shot through key points and ended up with a bunch of random characters that no one cares about
I'd have thought this was common knowledge tbh. We know most of the team worked on RDR2 as well as GTA Online for a lot of the time gap.
At this point it doesn't really matter the reasons for the long wait between GTA games, but it's still disappointing that the gap between Rockstar games is getting so wide
I thought this was a great episode. I've been critical of the series so far but this one really expanded on the game's plot in all the right ways
That said, I also didn't really have a problem with the story in the game up until the half way point onwards.. so I'm still expecting this show to fall off for me but this might not be until season 3 from the looks of it
@ChrisDeku I wanted to enjoy a hard/survival mode with this game but just found coming up against human enemies so tedious. They were bullet sponges to the extreme
Thought it was a bit too dull tbh. I just feel like I'm watching an inferior version to the story, acting and direction that was already available in the game
I think next week is the big episode by the looks of it...
I think that Rolling Stone snippet sounds exactly what a lot of people wanted more of in the game
I'll be watching but don't have too high hopes for this given I thought the first season was pretty weak overall (the game itself often had far better character development and storytelling moments than a whole TV series!). Not to mention Part 2 being a weaker and less grounded story as a whole as well imo
I have to admit I also have a desire to play more switch games now. I think there's a part of my brain that wants to convince me I want the new one and that I need to justify it
It's very meh for me. There's definitely value there somewhere for some people but if it wasn't required for online I can't see that many would be subscribing for this (and I certainly wouldn't)
Oh Croc. One day they'll love you like the others 😕
I don't even understand how this is possible really. If PlayStation mandates that game must have trophies, why leave out the end goal of them for some games? Bizarre
@Almost_Ghostly it would be interesting to see how many would've upgraded for a tenner compared to how many will buy for £45. Would 4-5 times more people pay for the upgrade? Maybe. I certainly won't be buying full price again
According to PlayStation's own store I "already own another edition of this game"

Re: Black Ops 7 Will Be the 'Most Mind-Bending' Call of Duty Ever on PS5, PS4
It was definitely a weird ending after an intriguing teaser
As someone who has no interest in COD, I switched off immediately once that logo came up
Re: End of Abyss May Fool You into Thinking It's the Next PS5 Game from Playdead
I did like the look of this a lot
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 584
Not jealous of Aaron and Liam at all...
For me I'll be digging into Lies of P: Overture on PS5, as well as continuing to enjoy South of Midnight on Xbox
Re: Lies of P: Overture DLC Out Now, Costs $30 on PS5, PS4
I'm happy to trust them and pay £25 for this
Lies of P was wonderful to me

Re: First MindsEye PS5 Copies Leak, Dev Stresses to Wait for Day 1 Patch
Yeahhhhhh
I think we may be better off waiting for patch 9.44123452 in 2035 by the sounds of it

Late notice E3 Baby!
Re: New PS5 Games for June and July 2025
I'm looking forward to Death Stranding 2 and Wuchang probably the most
Hopefully we'll get some nice susprise releases from next weekend as well

Re: The Order 1886 Could Have Been a Big Trilogy of PlayStation Games
Still never played this. Might get round to trying it sometime soon
Re: TV Show Review: The Last Of Us (HBO) Season 2 Episode 7 - Great Game Makes for Okay TV
Absolutely shocked at the reception to Part 2's story..
🍿
Re: PS5, PC Live Service Fairgames Is a 'Super Clunky' Cross Between Fortnite and The Division
How has this not been cancelled yet? Just admit they read the room wrong and get on with it
This one always looked even more bland than Concorde to me as well
Re: Round Up: Lies of P: Overture Previews Reveal Difficulty Options, Boss Rush Mode, and More

Re: Rumours of a Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 Version Swirl Again
Quite bizarre and honestly borderline disgraceful that this wasn't done years ago already

Re: Expedition 33 Is Increasing in Popularity with Each Successive Week
I've never really played an RPG like this but must admit I'm very tempted to give this a try based on the glowing reviews I've seen
Might give game pass a try for a month and give this and a few others I'm interested in a little trial
Re: Poll: Are You Disappointed by the GTA 6 Delay?
I'm disappointed but not surprised at all so it's kind of whatever
It'll come out when it comes out and I'm sure it'll be pretty great like all the others
Re: LittleBigPlanet Erasure Continues as Sackboy Removed from PlayStation Productions Logo
How sad
Big Adventure is a great game and it's a shame it looks like it won't be followed up at this point
Re: Watch Mafia: The Old Country Gameplay Trailer, PAX East Panel Early Next Month
We don't get enough games like this nowadays imo so I'm absolutely in for this day 1

Re: So Much More Death Stranding 2 PS5 Coverage Coming 8th May
I haven't seen anything of this aside from the initial reveal and I'm quite happy with that. Will wait for the full experience
Re: Lords of the Fallen Update 2.0 Makes Massive Improvements, Available Now for Free on PS5
Oooooh this is awesome
I've been meaning to get round to this for a while and now seems the perfect time. It's basically Dark Souls 4!
Re: Galaxies Is Yet Another Gaming Showcase, Featuring 50+ Announcements and Updates
Probably won't watch, but shout out Jane from OX
Re: 'You'll See the Difference,' Says Bend Studio of Days Gone PS5's Improvements
@ChrisDeku I wanted to enjoy a hard/survival mode with this game but just found coming up against human enemies so tedious. They were bullet sponges to the extreme
Re: 'You'll See the Difference,' Says Bend Studio of Days Gone PS5's Improvements
This is great but my biggest issue was awful AI making gunfights awkward and annoying
The freaker hordes were awesome so more of that is very welcome
Would love to upgrade but I'm not paying full price for this again
Re: Nintendo Is Losing Its Identity, Says Ex-PlayStation Boss
The Switch itself was an upgraded Wii U anyway. I don't see the problem here
Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Season 2 Episode 1 - Structure Changes Keep Things Fresh

Re: The Last of Us Complete Out Today at $99.99 on PS5, Physical Collector's Edition Drops in July
At least they didn't actually add anything useful so this can just be ignored for me
Re: New Animated PS5 Wallpapers for Welcome Hub Let You Celebrate PS Studios Hits
Nice. Changed mine to Demon's Souls for now
Re: PS Plus Price Increases Confirmed for 15 Countries by Sony
@Dan12836666 they don't need to do anything. Have you seen the money they're making off this?
Re: PS Plus Price Increases Confirmed for 15 Countries by Sony
Ah the good old "we need to raise prices to keep bringing high quality" etc etc.
Good old capitalism

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 575
@Bentleyma nice one. Gotta love some classic GT.
I have to admit I also have a desire to play more switch games now. I think there's a part of my brain that wants to convince me I want the new one and that I need to justify it
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 575
After finally getting the platinum last week, I managed to finish off the last few trophies in the Returnal Ascension mode last night
Now I'm still working my way through the last few relics in Crash 2, and I'm also tempted to play through Croc as well with the new remaster
Re: Feature: PS5's Not Perfect, But Here Are 5 Ways It's More Consumer Friendly Than Switch 2
I'll say similar to what I said on the Pure Xbox version of this one..
"Great, I'll play the new Mario Kart on PS5 then"
Re: Reaction: Switch 2 Looks Solid But the Many PS5, PS4 Ports Won't Spook Sony Yet
£75 for a Mario Kart game is pretty insane. That's my headline takeaway
Re: Croc: Legend of the Gobbos (PS5) - Cult Favourite Platformer Returns in Robust Remaster
I've always said that Croc is one of the best 6/10 games of all time. That the remaster gets a 7 here is quite impressive, if a bit nostalgia boosted
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for April 2025?
All personal taste but none of these appeal to me
Re: PS Plus Essential Is Quietly Having a Great Year on PS5, PS4
It's very meh for me. There's definitely value there somewhere for some people but if it wasn't required for online I can't see that many would be subscribing for this (and I certainly wouldn't)
Re: No Platinum Trophy in Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster's Meagre PS5 Trophy List
Oh Croc. One day they'll love you like the others 😕
I don't even understand how this is possible really. If PlayStation mandates that game must have trophies, why leave out the end goal of them for some games? Bizarre
Re: Lies of P: Overture Full of Bosses, Weapons, Ideas that Didn't Fit in the Base Game
Very excited for this.
Do we know how it works in terms of it being integrated with the main game yet?
I wanna replay Lies Of P prior to this but would hate for it to mean that I go into this via NG+ or with an under/over levelled P
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for April 2025 Announced
Very much a nope month for me. My ps plus actually runs out in April
Will likely still reluctantly keep for save backups and the occasional online play
Re: Days Gone PS5 Will Tempt You Back to the Broken Road with All-New Trophies
@Almost_Ghostly it would be interesting to see how many would've upgraded for a tenner compared to how many will buy for £45. Would 4-5 times more people pay for the upgrade? Maybe. I certainly won't be buying full price again
According to PlayStation's own store I "already own another edition of this game"
Re: Days Gone PS5 Will Tempt You Back to the Broken Road with All-New Trophies
I think I would actually use the upgrade path if I could with this, but it's a bit of a joke
Bought the game originally on disc, then it was on PS plus and have since switched to mostly digital so no longer have the disc
