A sequel might be my most anticipated game tbh

I'm glad the game seems to be generally doing well because I love the series and am all for more games like this...

but I thought it was pretty disappointing with a very bland story and mostly generic dull gameplay

Looks like the Expedition 33 guys may as well just host the show at this point

Regardless of if this is true, I do tend to agree that it makes sense.

PlayStation should stick (or pivot back) to supporting strong exclusives to keep their dominance in the console/gaming space

Either that or put Bloodborne, Demon's Souls and Gran Turismo 7 on PC and make a ton from that

Funnily enough I started playing RDR on PC the other day. It still holds up well as a game and looks nice and shiny with decent graphics and framerate settings

Crush Boycott sounds like a weird Crash Bandicoot rip off

While an upgrade would be lovely and should definitely happen, this is one of a few games where I don't find framerate to be that important. It runs well at 30, it's mainly the graphics look a bit weak on PS4 compared to what can be shown on Xbox or PC

That's bizarre that they had to launch it effectively as a new release because of the platinum trophy situation. It was an odd oversight when it first released so good on them for fixing it

@Lowdefal oh of course. From a business point of view it's true that their costs have gone up and from that same business view they're entitled to increase prices, particularly if still selling plenty of units as well. Hell, Xbox is increasing prices withoutbselling units so that's another idea 😂

It's not Sony/PlayStation's fault. But it's still a nonsense and this kind of corporate "growth, growth, growth" mentality is just sad to see

@SilentC yeah Midnight Walk has been on my radar since release but the £34 or whatever price has always seemed a bit steep for what it likely is. £20 is much more reasonable to me so might go for that too

I think people are overthinking this

Of course the most sold games are going to be rehashes of Call of Duty, and the same GTA game that's been sold over and over for the last 12 years. It's the same with music, film, sport etc

I don't know why anyone cares what other people like

I did like End of the World, but not sure about this

I just find it hard to care tbh when almost everything in the world is short sighted. Particularly from mega corporations

@Reeneman cutescenes definitely kick into a lower framerate, regardless of which settings you choose

Strong agree with all of this from what I've played so far (around 6 hours, I believe)

I don't regret buying it but I'd probably go lower with the score tbh. It's a series that's always had flaws, but this feels like this most flawed yet.

It tries to be simple, but because of this it hardly brings anything interesting to the table aside from the setting, graphics and decent voice acting

Frustrating that this is the best game that Hangar 13 can put together in 2025

I'm a couple of chapters into Mafia and generally enjoying the vibe but already starting to feel like the game could/should be so much better (a general trend with this series)

Call me a cynic, but I don't really see how this will be much different than the "simulation" settings we had last year

I only really got FC25 last year because I'm an idiot and my team's stadium was in the game (Bristol City)

I found the game to be the usual mix of frustration with the odd moment of brilliance

I'd love them to lean more into the "authentic" or simulation settings as they did a bit last time and instead have a proper online mode for that

As others have said this is already a spoiler in itself 😂

But I guess it's out there now so people will find out soon anyway

I don't see a massive amount of Uncharted in this tbh. But it definitely wouldn't be a bad thing if the game does lean into that

I'm at the end of Lies of P Overture so looking forward to finishing that if I can overcome the final boss (but he seems a bit tricky)

Also making a few deliveries here and there in Death Stranding as well. It's very pretty so far

I'm definitely keen as I really loved the first one. Didn't get round to finishing the 2nd but enjoyed what I played of that too

It's become my "just 10 minutes" time filler game. Very addictive

While being different, it really does give competition to EA as well which is great to see

5 years ago this game made me PS4 Pro sound and feel like I had a helicopter in my house about to take off

It's a great game, pretty objectively I think. Just a bit of a frustrating one because its flaws are quite clear

Good for them I guess but it's quite a sad reflection on the modern landscape of everything tbh when you look at the whole picture

Might just be me having the memory of a goldfish but I've got lost in one of the early areas and have no idea where to go next

I'm not a huge fan of turn based games so the combat is annoying me at the moment as well. I just want to explore a bit but keep getting random knobheads following me around wanting to slowly fight

I want to like the game as the story seems gripping

I'm hoping to finish up South of Midnight on Xbox and also a couple of hours into Clair Obscur now and enjoying that too

As has already been mentioned, games (and entertainment in general) has been "devalued" for a while now and that's kind of just capitalism in general

Every single day that a new game comes out, it's competing with all the games that ever came before it. The next game is competing with even more, and so on.
