How ridiculous is it that a company can just sit on these games and do nothing? A port of RDR2 or GTA 4 would make more money than most publishers could ever dream of, and yet Rockstar just don't need it. Quite sad

You guys know you don't have to buy or play the game if you don't want to right?

It's absolutely fair to call out scummy business practices, as this article does. But it also is what it is. Given the anticipation for this game, it could be much, much worse. Which doesn't justify anything of course, but still

@Flaming_Kaiser while upgrades to digital deluxe editions etc are quite common now this wasn't always the case

It's not entirely true to say I'm not interested in a PS6, but I have by far the least interest in it than I've had in any potential next gen system in 30 years of gaming. If prices were more reasonable then sure, maybe, but even then, without standout games to make the leap worthwhile I just can't get on board. At least not for day one

Well now we know why virtually none of these games revealed are exclusives. They might not even be xbox owned by the time they ever ship

This show has been great so far

The more I think about it this might be the standout from all the summer week for me

I played South of Midnight when I had game pass for the odd month and enjoyed it. Would I have bought it otherwise? Possibly down the line but probably not. There are simply just too many games available

All of these games are good/decent. None of them are groundbreaking 10/10 must buys

I think it makes sense tbh. They want people constantly engaged with these services so the once or twice a month updates seems out of date. Also keeps the sub in the news cycles more often

I really liked it. Lots of announcements that got my interest, although I do wonder how far off some of them may be (Cuphead, gen Atlas, etc)

I'm not sure I believe this at first but seeing that it can now be wishlisted on the store gives hope

You can turn the puddles on as well if you have a PS5 Pro

I don't think GTA 6 won't come close to this tbh

Mine expired in April and I'm not sure I want to resubscribe anyway, this of course makes me less inclined.. I don't play online much and the PS+ essential games haven't appealed to me mostly for a long time too. Or when they do it's a game I have or would rather buy anyway

I'm enjoying Saros, but certainly have a strong feeling that I did enjoy Returnal a lot more

It's possible a lot of that is biased towards Returnal being the first game like this and that made more of an impact at the time, but I do think the weapon variety, biome diversity and story were just simply better the first time round

I wouldn't have thought I'd gone this way say 10 years ago, but I'm all digital now.

The convenience of not having to change discs and not having to find storage space is very nice for me. As someone who had a huge collection of games at one point, once I moved house a couple of times with it all you realise what a hassle it is!

Now I'm quite happy to have a digital library for emulation, and a digital library on PS as well

Fully agree with this review. It's definitely worth a play through if it seems of interest to you

South of Midnight was very enjoyable. Felt like a bit of a throwback with cool art style and unique feeling atmosphere

I might be getting offended for no reason but I hate how this always seems to be framed as the audience's fault

These publishers aren't charities. If games are too expensive to make, stop making them and control your budgets better

@rjejr I was gonna say, I couldn't even tell you where it says the PEGI rating when buying a digital game

Exclusives have been key in console gaming since the very start, it was weird that some key people wanted to try to change that

We'll have to see how this plays out but it was always a bit of a weird strategy imo

There was no consistency with the approach and it just seemed odd and unnecessary to try to sell games out of their own thriving ecosystem. Why risk increased piracy, giving other platforms percentages etc for little gain

As everyone else has said, this is a disgrace and quite concerning regarding the future

I don't think many people are "championing" the delay of a next gen, it's just that they/we don't want/need it at this time

To me it's irrelevant how crusty and old the PS4 may seem now when the PS5 is still more than adequate for what it does right now

I haven't played so didn't realise this was a thing but would be surprised it they were kept in by the sounds of it

Like a lot, I'm still more than happy with what PS5 does and don't see the need for a new console anywhere in the near future

Returnal is still my game of the generation in many ways so I have full trust in the developer for this

I never felt like Returnal was unfair personally. I think at most a run would last around an hour or so and you always made progress in terms of levelling up weapons, improving your own skill and learning more about the game so my time always felt valued

Very excited for this and glad to see it reviewed well

That's very random!

This is actually a really good, unique poker game though. Along with Poker Night 2

The AI isn't anything special so it's not super challenging, however where it excels is the conversation between the players throughout the game and each hand. It really immerses the player as if you were really sat at a poker table with a bunch of random characters

Well that's a surprise to start us off

Let's see those PlayStation and Nintendo profit numbers again as well

GTA 6, Reanimal, Saros, Lords of the Fallen 2 and Mortal Shell 2 for me

It's a great Telltale game imo. Up there with Walking Dead Season 1 and The Wolf Among Us

I haven't played a great deal this year so thought it might've been that but a lot of it wasn't interesting at all. A large chunk of it was adverts for the Pro, new controllers and PS Plus Extra...

Bit disappointing

Love this as a feature. Also have a very similar view to you on trophies

I'm sold whatever they do. Lies of P was great and Overture just took it to another level

A sequel might be my most anticipated game tbh

I'm glad the game seems to be generally doing well because I love the series and am all for more games like this...

but I thought it was pretty disappointing with a very bland story and mostly generic dull gameplay

Looks like the Expedition 33 guys may as well just host the show at this point

Regardless of if this is true, I do tend to agree that it makes sense.

PlayStation should stick (or pivot back) to supporting strong exclusives to keep their dominance in the console/gaming space

Either that or put Bloodborne, Demon's Souls and Gran Turismo 7 on PC and make a ton from that

Funnily enough I started playing RDR on PC the other day. It still holds up well as a game and looks nice and shiny with decent graphics and framerate settings
