I still don't understand who signed off on the glossy plate. It quite clearly looks worse than the original controllers which is just weird and, although silly, kind of puts me off from the start

@Loftimus "the only person that outcome would benefit was him" and Ellie, of course. But one of the reasons we never got to have that conversation with her was because the fireflies were so brutal in stealing her away from Joel (in the game at least)

@Loftimus I preferred that there were more questions there though. One of the great things about the first game is that none of it was too far-fetched.

The second game completely threw that out of the window for me and many others and changing the ending to be so certain felt and still feels strange

Loved the first episode. Good luck turning Part 2 into a TV series though. I can't see how that works at all without some significant changes

Seems like expectations got way too high for this.

It's an OK game but lacks a truly compelling story, the characters are boring and the gameplay is pretty uninteresting too

Appreciate that game development is difficult but surely they were aware they had a dud here?

Have been playing games for 30 years and played countless games with awful framerates just fine (ish)

Weird comments.

Days Gone had some great ideas, some standout gameplay features and a decent ish gameplay loop.

It also had a lot of bugs, a somewhat meh story and terrible AI as well as repetitive quests.

The review scores were fine. It would be weird if this was getting 9s and 10s across the board

I haven't played Dead Space so maybe this will be for me?

I feel like we've had a hundred spiritual successors at this point

Probably my most anticipated game at this point

One of my biggest frustrations in gaming is Supermassive games and this series in particular.

They have the potential to do special things but keep producing annoyingly average affairs such as this. A shame

All depends on context for me but I can definitely see how it could be annoying.

God of War has a lot of talking in general which I quite enjoy. It's slightly annoying when you're just trying to explore a bit and Atreus and Mimir keep questioning you but it makes sense in-game and is done in a humorous way. It also makes them feel much more involved as characters and helps bring the world to life a bit more

Please just make a new game

The original one was great. This definitely sounds nothing like it which is a shame

I played it on Stadia at launch.

I thought it was a solid game without being anything special. Cool that it's not getting left to be nothing

In many ways PlayStation as a brand is far bigger than E3 ever was.

I feel like they should create some kind of PlayStation Week and have their own showcase during it.

It could be used to celebrate the games/hardware of the last 12 months and obviously to promote the future

It's shambolic that it never got anything for PS4 Pro let alone PS5.

Same with RDR2 not having any next gen upgrade.

I think people, myself included, often forget that 4k resolution is still quite taxing on the average game, even with the power of PS5

All things considered I think this is probably the best we could have hoped for. It's just let down by the price really

Aside from Resi 2 these all still seem pretty pricey to me

I like the difficulty modifiers. Being able to play with scarce resources but not have enemies just be bullet sponges is ideal for me

I quite liked being able to toggle slow motion in Part II as well. From a cinematic point of view it was really interesting

The Xbox Elite controller is excellent so providing this is of a similar standard then absolutely I would love one for my PS5 gaming

Also really enjoyed the first game so very much looking forward to this

To be honest my expectations for this game have gone down over the years. The longer the wait goes on, the more games rely on online services and the more key Rockstar people leave, the less enthused I feel about the next GTA.

They've a lot to prove imo.
