I still don't understand who signed off on the glossy plate. It quite clearly looks worse than the original controllers which is just weird and, although silly, kind of puts me off from the start
@Loftimus "the only person that outcome would benefit was him" and Ellie, of course. But one of the reasons we never got to have that conversation with her was because the fireflies were so brutal in stealing her away from Joel (in the game at least)
@Loftimus I preferred that there were more questions there though. One of the great things about the first game is that none of it was too far-fetched.
The second game completely threw that out of the window for me and many others and changing the ending to be so certain felt and still feels strange
Just whack them on ignore @GreatAuk. I imagine all these comments will be gone soon but you just can't win with people like this no matter how logical your replies
All depends on context for me but I can definitely see how it could be annoying.
God of War has a lot of talking in general which I quite enjoy. It's slightly annoying when you're just trying to explore a bit and Atreus and Mimir keep questioning you but it makes sense in-game and is done in a humorous way. It also makes them feel much more involved as characters and helps bring the world to life a bit more
To be honest my expectations for this game have gone down over the years. The longer the wait goes on, the more games rely on online services and the more key Rockstar people leave, the less enthused I feel about the next GTA.

@NEStalgia doing God's work here! Thank you 🙏

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Last of Us - Episode 2?
@Slippship you know you don't have to read this right?

Re: Special PS5 DualSense Gifted to PlayStation Employees
Looks like it had a disease to me. Cool gesture nonetheless
Re: The Last of Us HBO Pulls in 4.7 Million Viewers, Second Biggest Debut Since 2010
Loved the first episode. Good luck turning Part 2 into a TV series though. I can't see how that works at all without some significant changes
Re: 'AAAA' Title The Callisto Protocol Reportedly Falls Short of Expected Sales Figures
Seems like expectations got way too high for this.
It's an OK game but lacks a truly compelling story, the characters are boring and the gameplay is pretty uninteresting too
Appreciate that game development is difficult but surely they were aware they had a dud here?

Re: Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 Supports 30fps, 60fps, and VRR
🙄 Here we go again
Re: Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 Supports 30fps, 60fps, and VRR
@caiol92 I wish I could go back to feeling like this.
I can barely stand to play games in 30fps mode now and I don't know what happened
Have been playing games for 30 years and played countless games with awful framerates just fine (ish)
Re: Wishing You a Happy New Year from the Push Square Team
Happy New Year, PS!
Re: The Last Guardian, Shadow of the Colossus Legend Aiming for 2023 Announcement
Bring it on! These games are excellent
Re: Game of the Year: #4 - Trails from Zero
Justice for GT7.
As mentioned though, love to see more niche games getting recognition
Re: We Wish You a Merry Christmas
As always, thank you to everyone at Push Square for being the best place to go for PlayStation news and discussion. Here's to another year 🎮
Re: PS5 DualSense Edge Pad Sounds Like the Real Deal, Shorter Battery Life
The real deal wouldn't have terrible battery life, imo
Re: PS Plus Premium Classic Pinball Heroes Has Trophies, and It's an Easy Platinum
I quite like pinball tbf
Re: PS5, PS4's 2023 Ridiculous Release Schedule Topples with Peppa Pig Sequel
Do we really need a PS4 version?
Wish the devs would just focus on current-gen so we can get absolutely the best Peppa Pig game possible
Re: Resident Evil Village Is a PSVR2 Launch Game, And It's Free
Wish more of the bigger developers put some effort into VR as well
Re: Rumour: The Last of Us 3 Is In Development at Naughty Dog
🙄 Of course they are
Re: Crime Boss: Rockay City Is a Star-Studded FPS Heist Game Shooting for PS5
Looks great but with a healthy dose of scepticism from me
Re: Earn 100 PS Stars Points Just for Playing PS Plus Games
Thanks for the responses all. Think I'll look into this soon as I already give Sony enough money, its about time they gave a little back 😂
Re: Earn 100 PS Stars Points Just for Playing PS Plus Games
I haven't been paying attention to this Stars thing at all tbh
Think I'm missing out?
Re: Days Gone Director Blames Woke Reviewers, Programmers for Critical Reception
Weird comments.
Days Gone had some great ideas, some standout gameplay features and a decent ish gameplay loop.
It also had a lot of bugs, a somewhat meh story and terrible AI as well as repetitive quests.
The review scores were fine. It would be weird if this was getting 9s and 10s across the board
Re: The Callisto Protocol (PS5) - Just Like Dead Space, for Better and Worse
I haven't played Dead Space so maybe this will be for me?
Re: Sky, Journey's Spiritual Successor, Glides to PS4 Next Week
I feel like we've had a hundred spiritual successors at this point
Journey was great but I don't think this is for me
Re: Site News: Would You Kindly Fill in Our Reader Survey?
@Stragen8 same
Re: Site News: Would You Kindly Fill in Our Reader Survey?
I'm still waiting for the biscuits from the last few surveys.. but sure.
Re: Development Nearly Complete for Pinnochio-Inspired Soulslike Lies of P
Probably my most anticipated game at this point
Re: The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me (PS5) - One for the Fans Lacks Ambition
One of my biggest frustrations in gaming is Supermassive games and this series in particular.
They have the potential to do special things but keep producing annoyingly average affairs such as this. A shame

Re: Naughty Dog and Sony's Newest Studio Are Co-Developing Project Based on a 'Beloved Franchise'
Please just make a new game
Re: New Tales From The Borderlands (PS5) - No Tale, Too Much Borderlands
The original one was great. This definitely sounds nothing like it which is a shame
Re: Google Stadia Exclusive GYLT Likely Getting Ported to PS5, PS4
I played it on Stadia at launch.
I thought it was a solid game without being anything special. Cool that it's not getting left to be nothing
Re: A Plague Tale: Requiem Harnesses the Power of the PS5 to Bring Your Nightmares to Life
@Max_the_German well this is a PlayStation website. It's kind of irrelevant what another console can or can't do
Re: Man of Medan, Little Hope PS5 Versions Available to Download Now
Nice. I'm still yet to play Little Hope or House of Ashes and am meaning to get round to them all at some point
This could be that point starting again with Man of Medan
Re: You Can Disable Criticism from Commentators in FIFA 2023
I really hate the commentary these days. Feels like it's way worse than it used to be back with John Motson etc.
Tempted to try a foreign language now just to keep some noise going
Re: PS3 Classic MotorStorm Pacific Rift Looks Sensational in 4K, 60fps on PC
Fantastic series
Re: Talking Point: Is a PlayStation Showcase Really Happening This Year?
I still think they're missing a bit of a trick when it comes to marketing.
In many ways PlayStation as a brand is far bigger than E3 ever was.
I feel like they should create some kind of PlayStation Week and have their own showcase during it.
It could be used to celebrate the games/hardware of the last 12 months and obviously to promote the future
Re: Stroke the Dog and Now Cat 2,000 Times for 71 PS5, PS4 Trophies
Well, I do like cats..
Re: Bloodborne at 60fps Is Just Two Lines of Code Away from Reality
It's shambolic that it never got anything for PS4 Pro let alone PS5.
Same with RDR2 not having any next gen upgrade.
Re: Rumour: Sonic Frontiers Will Make You Pick 60FPS or 4K Resolution on PS5
I think people, myself included, often forget that 4k resolution is still quite taxing on the average game, even with the power of PS5

Re: Train Sim World 3 (PS5) - Dovetail's Best Railway Simulation to Date
Sorry I don't have much interest in this game. I'm just here for the Simpsons jokes.
Re: The Last of Us: Part I (PS5) - A Better, More Beautiful Remake of a Modern Classic
All things considered I think this is probably the best we could have hoped for. It's just let down by the price really
Re: Latest PS Store Sale Reduces Prices on PS5, PS4 DLC, Special Editions, More
Aside from Resi 2 these all still seem pretty pricey to me
Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake's Award-Winning Accessibility Suite Outlined
I like the difficulty modifiers. Being able to play with scarce resources but not have enemies just be bullet sponges is ideal for me
I quite liked being able to toggle slow motion in Part II as well. From a cinematic point of view it was really interesting
Re: Poll: How Much Would You Pay for the DualSense Edge PS5 Pro Controller?
The Xbox Elite controller is excellent so providing this is of a similar standard then absolutely I would love one for my PS5 gaming
Re: Anticipated PS5 Game A Plague Tale: Requiem Goes Gold
Also really enjoyed the first game so very much looking forward to this
Re: Mini Review: Thymesia (PS5) – A Poor Take on the Souls-Like Formula
I'll probably still check it out tbh
Re: GTA 6 Will Set 'Creative Benchmarks' for All Entertainment
To be honest my expectations for this game have gone down over the years. The longer the wait goes on, the more games rely on online services and the more key Rockstar people leave, the less enthused I feel about the next GTA.
They've a lot to prove imo.
