My interest in "new" games has definitely gone down a lot in the last few years. Reveals rarely excite me anymore and ultimately I guess I just already feel like I have plenty to play
If nothing else new was ever released, I'd still have far more games that I could ever need for the rest of my life
I'm not entirely convinced with the direction that PlayStation seem to be taking but it's still a hell of a lot more comfortable than the confusion and frankly desperation that's coming from Xbox.
Despite years of investment and buying as much as they could, Xbox still don't have anywhere near enough games that I actually want to play
Preservation aside, this is also a potential issue for anyone now that wants to buy the console, use physical media and doesn't have an Internet connection.
At this point though, the Internet is so ingrained in what the PS5 is that it would be silly to have without it
Somewhere in an alternate universe, sports titles are treated as other AAA games and only come out every 4 years or so but are absolutely stacked with great gameplay, content and detail.
As someone that's played every "FIFA" game since the start, as well as pretty much every other rival football game.. I really hate FC 24.
FIFA has always been arcadey, often to a fault, but never more so than in FC 24 and it feels like they've leant even further into all the things I disliked previously.
This is the first year in decades where I really haven't been interested in a new football video game. Feels a bit weird
@Ravix it's generally pretty easy to get your souls/ergo back after dying in this game.
There's definitely not the big dread you'd often get in other games like this. I thought this might be a bit of an issue based off the demo but for the game it works well
It still baffles me how they keep messing up these FMV games. I may be completely ignorant, but it really doesn't seem that complicated to put together a half-decent story with passable acting and then just add a few player choices in there to make it a "game".
I always feel like the well-marketed sales are poor, yet there's real value in other sales sometimes where you can pick up great games for loose change
Appreciate the preview Sammy but this just reads like a pure marketing piece straight from EA themselves.
I'm sure the game will have some improvements across the board gameplay wise but it's hard not to be too disheartened when it also still looks like the same buggy animation mess where each match is a ridiculously fast-paced basketball game with 8 or 9 goals
The sun is definitely not out here in rainy Bristol.
I've been working my way towards the end of Death's Door, slowly getting further into Yooka-Laylee's final Impossible Lair, and I also started Mafia 3 again recently after finishing the remake of the original.

Re: PS5 Platformer Astro Bot Will Have 80 Action-Packed Levels
The only game that appealed to me in the showcase.
Really looking forward to this
Re: Until Dawn Looks Scarily Good in PS5 Gameplay Trailer, Arrives in Fall 2024
Yeah, I don't think this looked particularly good to be honest

Re: Returnal Studio Housemarque Teases News for Tomorrow
Can only ehco the comments here in that Returnal is possibly my favourite game from this gen
Re: Unlock a Free 12 Months of PS Plus Premium with PlayStation's Visa Credit Card
Agree with the comments that this article should be binned off tbh
Re: New PS5, PS4 Games This Week (26th February to 3rd March)
@awp69 also agree. I often skip this article purely because of this

Nah. You're ok, Phil.

Re: Microsoft Exec on Helldivers 2: I'm Not Sure Who It Helps By Not Being on Xbox
What is this nonsense? 😂
Xbox getting crazier by the day at the moment
Re: Poll: Which Xbox Franchises Would You Buy on PS5?
Still can't believe Microsoft haven't put our a new Conker or Banjo game yet. No wonder their strategy needs changing
Re: Publishing Exec Claims 'There Are Too Many Games'
I feel like this is probably the same for every form of entertainment or art.
They're not only competing with new things coming out, but an ever expanding history of older games that people still want to play
Re: Pornhub Reveals 2023's Most Popular Video Game Characters
The whole list is quite funny but Cuphead 😂

Haha those memes are great
Re: Sony Does a Lot Behind the Scenes to Ensure High Quality PS5 Exclusives
@trev666 doesn't factions not coming out highlight this focus on quality even more?

Salt and Sanctuary for 74p got me

Ah, somewhere

Re: Lies of P DLC Under Construction, Just Like Clockwork
Haven't finished the main game and the final chapter is dragging somewhat but I'm definitely down for DLC. The game is great
Re: Best The Simpsons Games
Does seem crazy that none of these games are available on PS4, PS5
Re: Become Unstoppable with Madden NFL 24's Season 2 Superstar Abilities, Angry Runs
Would rather they just made the game work tbh
The overall gameplay is decent this year from what I played. If they can just get the sliders working properly we could have a good one this year
Re: Random: Push Square Was a Question on a UK Quiz Show
That's amazing 😂
Congrats all

@Ravix it's generally pretty easy to get your souls/ergo back after dying in this game.
There's definitely not the big dread you'd often get in other games like this. I thought this might be a bit of an issue based off the demo but for the game it works well
Re: Lies of P's Latest PS5, PS4 Update Makes Life Easier, That's No Lie
That's disappointing. I've been making good, slow progress so far but I kind of feel anything going forward is a little tainted now
Re: Community: Push Square Community's Best Game of All Time Has Been Decided
The GOAT.
Kinda mad that they could probably double the income this game has ever made by just making a PS5 and PC version
Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Slashes Through 10 Million Copies Sold
It's so good.
Need to replay at some point
Re: Sunlit Souls-Like Enotria: The Last Song Takes to the Stage in 2024
In for Italian souls 🇮🇹
Re: One of the Worst Games of All Time Is Coming to PS5, PS4, And You Won't Believe the Merch
LRG and this game are a good fit then

Re: EA Sports UFC 5 Is the First M-Rated Release in the Series
For as much as the sport has fallen off a cliff, I still wish we had a new boxing game instead.
I'm in for this though. Have enjoyed the previous UFC games from EA
Re: Highly Promising PS5 Souls-Like Lords of the Fallen Is Ready for Release
Looks great. Between this and Lies of P, I think I'm pretty set for my Soulslike fix for the rest of this year
Re: Rumour: God of War Ragnarok DLC Expansion Deep in Development for PS5
I don't think many people want to play as Atreus 😂
Re: Fort Solis (PS5) - Glitzy Walking Sim Disappoints
I really want to love games like this but they're almost always lacking in what should be the most key area: good writing and an interesting story
Re: PlayStation Portal Is Sony's PS5 Remote Play Handheld, Priced at $200 / £200
Would need to drop in price to have my interest
Re: Little Nightmares 3 from Until Dawn Dev Announced for PS5, PS4
I'm excited. I love this series
Re: Red Dead Redemption PS4 Trends on PS Store as $50 Port Attracts a Lot of Attention
Meh. I also checked out the PS Store page but am not buying it for £40 or whatever
I'm sure it'll sell fine because it's still a great game but I don't think it'll do amazing at this price
Re: PS Store Reloads with Almost 2,000 PS5, PS4 Deals
Would get Sonic Origins for cheaper but it's still too high for me
Re: GTA 6 Release Window Seemingly Narrowed Down to Fiscal Year 2024
Either that or a port of GTA IV is coming to PS4 for the bargain price of $1 billion on the PSN Store
Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying Red Dead Redemption on PS4?
Not for that price 😂
Stupidly I'd probably buy it for 20, which would still be silly for what this is
Re: Red Dead Redemption Out on PS4 This Month, Not a Remaster
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Gaming in 2023 ladies and gentlemen
Re: Sony Seemingly Forces Nintendo to Remove Rubbish The Last of Us Ripoff from Switch's Store
Absolutely crazy that this got on the store in the first place. Quite funny in a way
Re: Rumour: PS5 Pro Release Date Reportedly Slated for November 2024
Seems kind of pointless, although I think the same was said prior to the PS4 Pro as well. I ended up really liking my Pro (aeroplane noises aside)
My main problem with this would be that there are still a lot of great games that don't even have PS5 version yet (RDR2, Bloodborne, TLOU 2).
Re: Site News: Accessibility Brought to the Fore in New Push Square Partnership
That's really cool for those that need this kind of information. I like how the info fits in kind of seamlessly and can be expanded upon where needed

Re: Reminder: 10 Quality PS5, PS4 Games Taken Off PS Plus Extra, Premium Tomorrow
I would expect Stray to be on sale later this week
Re: Sony and Microsoft Sign a 'Binding Agreement' to Keep Call of Duty on PlayStation
I'm sure Microsoft will take great care of Crash and Spyro.
After their record with Banjo and Conker, what could possibly go wrong..
Re: Very Questionable Face Renders Are on the EA Sports FC Ultimate Edition Cover
Hahahahaha 😂
I don't think it looks too bad tbf. Not the most flattering graphics but there's something more real about it than the faces we've had previously
Re: Total Final Fantasy Franchise Sales at 180 Million
Impressive but I also feel like there's been close to 180 million different Final Fantasy games and remakes at this point as well
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 484
The sun is definitely not out here in rainy Bristol.
