Neowiz has announced its Lies of P expansion Overture releases today, and is actually out now on PS5, PS4 for £24.99 / $29.99. Catch the launch trailer above.
This piece of DLC requires the base game and takes place in a late-game chapter, so you can't simply boot the game up and start playing straight away — unless you already have a save.

Id love it if you can jump into it, but I always hate returning to old characters to do dlcs... and I dont want to replay the game
My save is just after the main credits have rolled in NG++
Can I start at this point, or do I need to replay all the way through to this late game chapter?
Is this the update that also adds difficulty settings? Because otherwise I didn't get far enough to buy it right now.
Bought it without even looking at the trailer.
I actually booted my NG+++ save this morning after a couple of years, and I was a little midway through. I had no idea what I was doing, haha. This is one of my favorite games, but I don’t know if I have the energy to replay it up until near the end to unlock the DLC. I might eventually, though!

This was a nice surprise, I've been excited to play this. Lies of P is one of my all time faves so it's a no brainer. Now just crossing my fingers that we get a sequel with the tease at the end of the game. I literally would buy a new console just to play that.
