Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 573

I'm working my way through the trophy list for Crash Bandicoot 2. Mostly just gems and relics left I think

I also hopped back into Returnal again this morning, eternally hoping that I can regain enough skill to slog my way through to get the remaining cypher trophies

Re: Could the Next Xbox Get a Head Start on PS6?

I think it makes sense given there's no Series X upgrade like the PS5 Pro. Also makes sense to try to beat the competition to market and have the most powerful console etc etc

I also don't really care fwiw 😂

Re: PS Portal Will Allow Cloud Streaming in New Beta Update

roe

It's a cool addition to the Portal that probably should've been there from the start.

I find it mad how slow the rollout for cloud streaming has been. This is something that was available 10 years ago on Vita!

There seems to be a change of approach with this every other year and we're still no wiser to what the end goal for this will be

And that applies across the industry too. Stadia worked well but was an absolute mess marketing wise. Likewise, Amazon Luna is almost completely unknown. Xbox seem the most vocal about their service but even then I'd have thought they'd give it more promotion by now

Re: Hands On: The Last of Us 2 Marries Visuals and Frame Rate in PS5 Pro Game Changer

Definitely a weird time we're in now. This game came out 4 years ago, and yet we've already had 4 different "look how much better it is here" comparisons.

I get these games are huge budgets and it makes sense from a business point of view to milk over a longer period of time. But it's a bit nauseating to see the same handful of games over and over again

Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS5 Pro?

roe

I'm in between wanting it later down the line and tbh likely will just give it a miss altogether. It'd be hard to justify the outlay even at a reasonable cost but £700 is just too much at this time

I'd also want a newer TV to take full advantage as well and then obviously you're talking about a couple grand at that point

Re: Don't Nod Financials Result in Reorganisation and Layoffs, Cancelled Projects

There are just too many games and it's constantly adding to the pile

New games aren't only competing with new games, they're competing with the entire history of gaming!

It's a problem in almost every entertainment industry but with the bigger problem that games aren't as easy to just watch or listen to like a movie or music

This is just all inevitable and I'm not sure there a solution to be had
