Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on the PS5, Now That More Details Have Been Revealed?

@YozenFroghurt
Thanks for the support. My wife won't let that happen, and to be fair I want her to have a stress free time she's going to be doing an economics and French degree for 4 years so that's pretty tough. It's only going to get worse my other daughter is on track to get grades to do her doctors degree in a couple of years and that's 6 or 7 years. 2 daughters 11 years of uni fees not sure whether to be proud or cry 😂.

I'm really looking forward to getting mine. But sadly I may have to wait till the following April. As my daughter will be starting university so I'll be broke for 4 years. But every April I'll get my bonus so can quickly spend some of it before my wife notices. I know I need to man up but hey happy wife happy life and all that. It will be the first ps console I've not got day one except the psp which I didn't bother with. Here's hoping things go better than I forsee.

@OscarHTX
Was going to say the exact same thing. I'm lucky enough to have 200mb fiber, I can download in no time but copy and installation is heart breaking it just goes on for so long. That's the number 1 thing I want fixing next gen as I'm pretty much 100%digital gaming the last 3 or so years

@Neolit
Thanks for the kind words. It's funny because of my dyslexia and age I'm not on any social media because I know my typing often sounds out of context. This is literally the only place I write on. It's funny even at work where I manage a couple of supermarkets I've had to stop replying to messages because when I try to be funny it never comes across right so I just phone in my replys.

@Neolit
That went bad fast. I blame my dyslexia, I thought you'd done a quote from a monty python film and thought it funny that it appeared someone else had down voted you. I gave you an up vote as I thought you were quoting the holey grail monty python. When the French knights were insulting the British nights. Sorry for any confusion I genuinely thought I was finishing your quote.
Also I'm the opposite of a millennial om really old

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Your PS Plus Games for October 2019?

gingerfrog

Well I already have the last of us, but it would be nice to have a digital copy as I've not bought physical copies of games for a good few years. I'm not fussed about getting MBL 19. I almost never play the plus offerings as I've generally already bought the ones I want before. At least with this game I'll be able to play with my nephew when he's round. So might get some use from a game I'd otherwise never have bought

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Your PS Plus Games for September 2019?

gingerfrog

Already owned and played batman. I would be so happy if this wasn't the case. After watching a darksiders 3 review and seeing how it plays I'll probably never play it I have much better games in my backlog that I chose for myself like spider-man and farcry 5. It just doesn't look anywhere near the quality god if war which I'd rather play again

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 282

I'm at work today trying to tye up all loose ends before I go off to menorca for a few weeks of all Inclusive fun. I've dusted off my Vita and charged it ready as it's not been in use since last year. I've only got tonight and tomorrow before we fly out and I don't want to start anything new so probably some crash team racing, soulcalibur 6, wipe out and a bit of black ops will see me through.

Re: Poll: What Are Your Summer Gaming Habits?

gingerfrog

I tend to play a lot less, through so many different reasons. My wife is a teacher so she's off and stays up later, as do my teenage daughters. Also we always have every weekend booked up with drinking, bbqs, bars and the like. Add in we're always abroad on holiday for a few weeks. On the positive I do get to play my Vita once a year when away on holiday as I can never be bothered as rather play my ps4 when home.

Re: PS Vita Firmware Update 3.71 Keeps Handheld Alive

gingerfrog

I'll be dusting mine off today for its yearly use. For the last few years I've only used it while abroad on holiday, just don't get the Opportunity otherwise. I always find a game to get into though. I have the 64gb memory card and with all the plus games and the sale games I seemed to buy even though it has never been used much I have over 80 games most of which I've never played.

@Quintumply @East76landS
The kill cams were removed as there was the usual Internet uproar that the hit detection was terrible. This is because even though cod has been going for years some people believe killcams are representative of actual live game play which it isn't as it uses much less data. Which can causes hit detection to look off. But when you see live feed it is spot on.

I'm loving my time with crash team racing, didn't buy for a couple of days after release as I'd read the 7 review on here and noted the authors gripes with difficulty. We'll I can say my opinion is its really easy to get to grips with and it looks so beautiful and plays so well. I can't seem to pull myself away from it. It's so accessible and I can't wait to get my family playing with me. For sheer addictive gameplay I'd be hard pushed to not score it a 9.

@JamieO
I got this with my then girlfriend when she first fell pregnant. We both love this game so much, and I can't believe this releases on her birthday. It's a 10 game for me all the way. If trophies had been invented I'd have got the platinum so many times over. Its funny how time has flown by, my daughter is currently learning to drive so hopefully I can get her addicted, it's hard to find much common interest with teenage daughters.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Cross-Play Includes PS4, Will Group Players by Input Device

gingerfrog

Unfortunately for me I see many more issues than input control (not to mention there are already hacks that allow you to play m&k but think your using controller with aim assist). For instance on pc you have a field of view slider which is a massive advantage. Also some pc run the fame at 120 fps which in a competitive twitch shooter is an enormous advantage. Also currently the pc version of black ops 4 has hacks whereas currently neither the ps4 or xbox 1 version have been hacked yet.
I'm happy for cross play but would love a option to opt out. I enjoy the walled garden of the ps4 and what that brings in consistent gaming and fairness

Re: PS4 Firmware Update 6.71 Is Ready to Download Now

gingerfrog

After patch 6.70 my ps4 kept crashing and I had to rebuild the database. To be fair it's now the smoothest and fastest it's been in a long while, so I may wait to see how this one goes and not jump straight in. But i guess the reason it so smooth and fast is because I did rebuild the data base which I've decided I'll probably do monthly going forwards as I didn't know how much it helped, I'd definitely recommend it

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Revealed, Releases on PS4 in October

gingerfrog

@redd214 @clvr
I personally didn't down vote you guys, but I'm certainly not tribal and immature like you suggest for not wanting cross play on a cod title. As someone who plays them regularly for their multiplayer fix, you can literally play any of the games on any system over the last decade and get a game instantly so that benefit does not exist for me, add in playing against pc on keyboard and mouse, you would be delusional to think a controller could compete. Just read any of the patch notes the games are not even balanced the same. Having said that if I had the option to turn off cross play I'd be OK with it being there.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 273

gingerfrog

I'm still playing through wolfenstein 2,i thought with the reviews it got and the fact I loved the first I'd have enjoyed this from the off. This hasn't been the case. It's taken me to the midway point to be really enjoying it. This may be because I set my hype meter to high, but also it does start slowly and the weapon switching with dual wield is a bit more of a chore. But still having great fun now
