I’ll use this weekend to finish up the single player parts of destiny 2 which has as much as any FPS single player campaigns. Then on to clear some smaller games from my backlog before I go getting me some new games and extending my backlog again. Such is the roundabout of my gaming life.
@stevenfins I agree Trayarch always make a a great multiplayer game. People may not like the brand but it’s hard to dismiss the polish of their games. My main concern is I play hardcore modes and I’m not sure blackout has this mode, and switching between core and hardcore is quite jarring. The times I’ve be first to get my shots in only to stop shooting early to conserve my ammo and get killed
@get2sammyb I hope so, it’s a game my wife and I hold close to our hearts. We played it so much when she was first pregnant we were really young and only were able to move in with each other when she was 5 months pregnant, and if the ps1 had platinum trophies we’d had got it a dozen times over. PS4 is becoming my favourite console of all time
@Jaz007 Don’t know if I read I different to everyone else commenting. I didn’t think they’d punish you but you were getting everything in on go so there’d be nothing the rest of the week. Pretty good if you don’t like grinding and want to get on with other games once you have everything first day.
I’m definitely going to get it, but like many people this far into the generation I have a backlog I’d like to get through of games I’m wanting to play so there is no point getting now, probably be cheap in the 12 days of Christmas sale. So I’ll look then
@MickOnYourFace I’ve been really enjoying all the single player bits, its got really tight shooting mechanics that seem to have a better sense of progression when playing on your own than the first.I’ve not touched anything multiplayer and am playing with my PS4 showing offline as I have lots of friends constantly playing it and it’s easier not to have to explain to them I want to go solo. The first one friends kept joining me much higher ranked and took all the fun out as they ran around easily killing everything, so I sold that quite quickly.
@Flaming_Kaiser I gave the first one a good go but couldn’t find the longevity I was after, so I skipped the second one for that reason. Hoping this will see me through the generation for fighting games. Also I’m getting old now and the time needed to learn is hard to come by. At least with soul calibur I have played it since ps1 days every generation, and I played a lot. To the point I know most moves locked to muscle memory and only have a few top up move to learn each iteration.
That’s finished my full list of players I need to jump in day 1. Love this game, hopefully some good introductory offers on ps plus as there’s no way I want this physical. I need to be able to drop in and out with all the other games coming. Love ending my play sessions with a fight and I haven’t bought a fighter I like this generation.
@FullbringIchigo Maybe try one of those teltale games we got on ps plus. Or have a beer watch some great movies go to the pub. Nothing lost really just have a different great weekend
@FantasyMeister It’s a great game I played last year. Although I left the multiplayer game of the moment for me on the internal hard drive as I thought it would run quicker. Don’t think it makes any difference. I enjoyed tiring off the limit of games on the homes screen then just scrolling through hundreds of games
As excited for the plus games we get each month, I just looked through the list and minus the games I’d already played and we got with ps plus. The first game I’ve actually played in destiny 2. And I’m playing that set as show offline so I don’t get dropped in continuously like what happed to me in destiny 1 with friends on much higher ranks doing all the killing for me, which killed the game for me. I’m going to complete the campaign then decide if I want to progress further. In which case I’ll join up with friends. Still I’m not disappointed with plus I’m happy with the games just don’t get the time to play games I wouldn’t choose as a rule
I’m still finishing up the lost legacy from last week. Much longer and better than I though it would be. For some reason I thought the open work bit was the whole game.
I had the remote for the ps2 and ps3 and loved them. But I don’t use any media on my PS4, I’ve got cable tv on a smart tv and a uhd player all with apps. Bit to late for me to care. Actually everything I own seems to have all the same apps and I think I prefer to not put the extra pressure of use on my PS4 and save it just for gaming. I’ve even got it a hard drive and gone mainly digital so I don’t use the blu ray drive often to save ware and tear.
Not to much difference in price to the psvr. I’m sure that would give me much more gaming joy. However I won’t be getting either can’t keep up with the games I have and I love the ds4 that came with the pro
Hope to chill to a few games Sunday. Just got back from the Rize festival my feet and legs have all but stopped functioning. Worth it though stereophonics were amazing a full 90 minuet headline set forgot how many great songs they’d written over the last 21 years. But seriously 2 days of destroying my feet. My phone counted 26,800 steps just yesterday 16km and I feel broken. Something nice and easy like finishing up lost legacy for me.
Got great memories of playing silkworm IV on the Amiga at my mates house, like the look of this, give me a reason to turn on my vita which I haven’t for so long I can’t even remember the last time
Looks better than that other game claiming to be like road rash. The name of which escapes me. Road rash 2 was one of my most loved games on the mega drive
Edit: I think the bad newish one was Road Rage. Shows how bad it was received when you can’t even remember it’s name.
I do like the limited addition consoles. But as I buy a launch day console every time they come out I can’t bring myself to replace a working one. I battled myself to get the launch day pro and that had insanely good trade in deal at game as I cleared out some other old bits.
@adf86 Exactly my feelings. When you start calling names you’ve lost the ability to argue you side of the case. There is no middle ground in this argument just different opinions. Not sure why some people have a hard time grasping that
@AlternateButtons I’m not blinded by fanboyism, I don’t want cross play and I play a mix of single player and multiplayer games. I think it’s pretty ignorant to think Sony doesn’t know how to run it’s company. They think it’ll hit revenue which is bad for me as less money to be spent on exclusives. My favourite games are Sony exclusives. Not because I’m a fanboy but because I love them and all the creativity and funds that go into their development. You should never forget there are always 2 sides to an argument.
Just cleared agents of mayhem from my back log which was some cheesy fun. Now to pick again from the back log. I may try to beat raiden v before taking on anything bigger
@Alfieburns @Marios-love-child @naruball
There certainly is. I always use psprices.com it separates the games by newest to site, biggest percentage price drop and so in. It’s the best site to us. I just check that every few days. It even shows previous prices for comparison
Anyone know if there was a hardcore mode to try. Currently on holiday so not been able to try, although not sure how the new health things and specialist will affect this.
I used to love watching monkey magic when I was young. And monkey and pigsy flying on clouds and fighting was really cool for my young self. I also enjoyed enslaved. Fun story and fighting
It’s hard to disagree with games in a top 20 list, they’ll never quite be in an order how you’d have them. But I truly can’t see how nex machina is not in there. It’s superior to resogun (an amazing game). Scored very highly in reviews but beaten by knack. Go figure.
@FullbringIchigo Not trying to be argumentative, but I’ve never found cod to be pay to win. I’ve never spent a penny extra and always feel competitive. In fact I usually find the best guns, equipment and perks are the first ones available. Not really got into battlefield to have an opinion. I know it’s not cool to praise the big publishers but I’ve always found value in cod and it’s various modes. The value found will be different for everyone, but I genuinely don’t find them pay to win.
@get2sammyb Hey sammy, great list. I honestly think it’s hard to beat nex machina. The game is beautiful, the colours pop and the gameplay is sublime. I’m lucky enough to play on an LG OLED B6. Simply jaw dropping.
If you ever do a worst pro enhanced list, you needn’t look further than agents of mayhem. Every time you switch on HDR it crashes the PlayStation. Still fun 6 or 7 game though I guess.
