@Max_the_German I think the Starter Pack will come with the training route, so you should at least be able to drive a train on that to get a feel for it.
@PushButtons He transforms at the start of Level 1. The demo seemed like it was 2-player only, although not sure whether that will change in the full release.
@Jammer @Olmaz @Bramble They'd be completely different games, though. Infinity Nikki is a live service experience where new costumes and adventures are getting added all the time.
You need a business model to support that, and a one-and-done single player campaign doesn't work for that kind of ambition.
@Gamer83 Well, I don't think it is all safe, sanitised, boring BS personally. I actually think there's too many high quality games, which is also an issue.
I know these quotes all seem a bit corporate and soulless (the source is the Financial Times!!!), but I think they understand they need to create compelling products that people enjoy in order to make lots of money off them.
Exactly as @UltimateOtaku91 said, the strategy only really works if you make games people want to play and TV shows/animes/movies people want to watch.
@MysteryCupofJoe I didn’t see anything in the demo personally but I’ve seen on social media people may have spotted She-Ra in the trailer or a screenshot or something.
@Nepp67 It's using the base PS5's quality mode and running it at 60fps. And because they don't give you an option, there's no way to see how the Performance settings would run.
@Tasuki This absolutely feels like a game from that era of TMNT and The Simpsons, so you can almost treat it like a lost classic that never got released haha!
@Rich33 The demo I played was 60fps. Obviously it's a retro-style game so there may be a possibility they could run it 120fps, but it's probably too early for them to announce technical details like that.

@FinneasGH The revival isn't, the livestream where they're going to announce their games is.
Re: Preview: Anime-Inspired Arcade Racer Screamer Is the Genre's Most Exciting in Over a Decade
@Northern_munkey Read the article. It's a lot of exactly what you're looking for.
Re: Preview: Anime-Inspired Arcade Racer Screamer Is the Genre's Most Exciting in Over a Decade
@UltimateOtaku91 I completely forgot about that. Looks like it's still in development.
It's interesting how both these games are going for narrative focused anime racing.
I haven't played Resistor so it's hard to say, but I think it'll have difficulty measuring up to the gameplay in this one.
(I think Resistor is open world?)
Re: Preview: Anime-Inspired Arcade Racer Screamer Is the Genre's Most Exciting in Over a Decade
@SMJ I already had my rebellious phase. I've just gone full-circle and come back to it again.
Re: Preview: Anime-Inspired Arcade Racer Screamer Is the Genre's Most Exciting in Over a Decade
Thanks for reading everyone! I loved this game! If you have any questions do let me know!
Re: Preview: Train Sim World 6 Finally Goes Fully Global in Its Sixth Iteration
@Max_the_German I think the Starter Pack will come with the training route, so you should at least be able to drive a train on that to get a feel for it.
Re: Preview: Train Sim World 6 Finally Goes Fully Global in Its Sixth Iteration
@ErrantRob You're exactly right, the new features are the failures system and the platform announcements.
However, any routes you own can be imported into the free TSW6 Starter Pack, so you may as well upgrade.
Re: Preview: Train Sim World 6 Finally Goes Fully Global in Its Sixth Iteration
@Max_the_German You can buy it separately too!
So in your situation, your best bet would be to buy that route you want (which is already out in TSW5): https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/product/EP2866-PPSA23364_00-TSW5MANNHEIMKAIS
Then, when TSW6 launches, download the free starter pack and import your route to play.
Re: Preview: Train Sim World 6 Finally Goes Fully Global in Its Sixth Iteration
I didn’t play a massive amount of this — it’s basically the same as the other games! — but do let me know if you have any questions.
Re: Skate's Free-to-Play Revival Rides into Early Access on PS5, PS4 in September

Re: Preview: Hellraiser PS5's Sexual Horror Is Pushing Its M Rating to the Max
@4fold I don't expect Sony to censor it at all.
@stupidget Hope it meets your expectations! I was impressed!
@NieR_Dark It could work in VR I think but don't expect PSVR2 support. Maybe on PC.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I believe in you!
Re: Space Adventure Cobra: The Awakening (PS5) - Nostalgic Space Romp Fires on Almost All Cylinders
@Ricky-Spanish I believe it's on Switch, PC, and Xbox as well.

@Bramble Give them chance, it's not been a year yet. They're adding all the home building stuff soon.
Re: The Sheer Presence of Hollow Knight: Silksong Is Delaying PS5 Indie Games
@Flora2122 I don't hate it and I'm happy people are excited for it, I'm just a bit tired of hearing about it.
And personally it's not my cup of tea. Each to their own!
Re: The Sheer Presence of Hollow Knight: Silksong Is Delaying PS5 Indie Games
@kyleforrester87 Touche.
Re: The Sheer Presence of Hollow Knight: Silksong Is Delaying PS5 Indie Games
Man, I'll be so glad when Silksong is out so we can all just move on.

Re: Rumour: Microsoft to Confirm Forza Horizon 6, Japan Setting Next Month
Japan setting will be huge, especially if this game is on PS5 day one. Just look at how well Forza Horizon 5 has already sold.
Re: Shinobi: Art of Vengeance (PS5) - A Gorgeous, Triumphant Return for SEGA's Ninja Series
Amazing review Stephen, we're truly in a golden era for these kind of retro reboots right now. I'm so excited to sit down with this one properly.
Re: 'The Number of Live Service Games Is Not Important': PS5 Boss Gives Rare Insight into Strategy
@nomither6 You don't think there's too many games? Look at the release schedule for the next six weeks and come back.

Re: 'The Number of Live Service Games Is Not Important': PS5 Boss Gives Rare Insight into Strategy
Oooft, Hermen Hulst has his work cut out, huh?
Re: Preview: Rolling the Dice on PS5's Next Big Gacha, the Anime Open World RPG NTE
@ATaco They will probably have other monetisation methods but I think they realise they need to get people playing first and foremost.
This genre is so competitive now.
Re: 'The Number of Live Service Games Is Not Important': PS5 Boss Gives Rare Insight into Strategy
@Old-Red It was in the news a few months ago, yeah. You may have just missed it.
Re: Preview: Rolling the Dice on PS5's Next Big Gacha, the Anime Open World RPG NTE
@Areus But I like the board game gacha system!
Re: Preview: Rolling the Dice on PS5's Next Big Gacha, the Anime Open World RPG NTE
@Splat I'm gaining a reputation!
Re: Preview: Rolling the Dice on PS5's Next Big Gacha, the Anime Open World RPG NTE
@TripleKing333 Not a fan, then?
Haha, I forgot to mention before this went live, if anyone has any questions about the game let me know and I'll do my best to answer!
Re: 'The Number of Live Service Games Is Not Important': PS5 Boss Gives Rare Insight into Strategy
I would also add that while I don't think Hermen Hulst has done a good job at all so far, the strategy won't change if he leaves.
This is all coming from above, and so whoever replaces Hulst will have the exact same remit.
Perhaps they'll be able to better execute it, but the goals will be the same.
Re: 'The Number of Live Service Games Is Not Important': PS5 Boss Gives Rare Insight into Strategy
@djlard I don't think that's true at all.

Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta's Dismal PS5 Pro Support Could Use a Rethink
@Nalim Well it's always worth remembering we're not doing a technical appraisal of the game like the Digital Foundry folks do.
They're obviously counting the pixels and tracking the frame rates, whereas we're just doing it by eye and reviewing the actual game.
VRR probably cleans up some of these issues too, which I'm guessing Liam has enabled.
And to be fair, Digital Foundry's own report focuses on the worst performing sections of the game, which are the ones referred to in the review.
Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta's Dismal PS5 Pro Support Could Use a Rethink
@Nepp67 It's using the base PS5's quality mode and running it at 60fps. And because they don't give you an option, there's no way to see how the Performance settings would run.
Re: Preview: Masters of the Brawliverse! The New Retro He-Man Game Hits Hard
@LieutenantFatman Was hard to properly hear it on a busy show floor (no headphones) so I wouldn't want to speak too much about the sound just yet.
Hopefully it's great though. I agree it adds so much to the combat.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Is Having a Tougher Time on the PS5, PS4 Pre-Order Charts
@RBMango Of course it will. But it could still be number one of the year and see a big decline from previous years.
Re: The New Assassin's Creed Mirage DLC Isn't Suspicious at All
It is weird that this has just seemingly come out of nowhere.
I mean, I suppose the positive here is that it's a definite value add for people who already own the game.
The situation around it is undeniably murky though.
Re: Sony Confirms Another 4 PS5 Games It's Helping to Publish
There's some interesting artwork and ideas on display here. Cool to see Sony continuing to support programmes like this.
