@rjejr I think it's because the matches are smaller. But you play more than me for sure so I couldn't really speak to any real differences beyond that.

@N1ghtW1ng What are the technical issues? Only thing I've seen people talk about a lot is some missing audio in the 32X version of MK2. But it's already been fixed on PC I believe.

@MrPeanutbutterz Honestly, I didn't notice it. (These games have always been sluggish in my opinion.)

However I can't argue with the data compared to the other platforms, and I'm glad they're going to patch it.

@Pat_trick @Luigia @N1ghtW1ng My personal opinion is that Digital Eclipse did the right thing reproducing the games as they were originally intended.

Could they have added an alternative option? Yes, I suppose so.

But I think considering the product they're selling, they were absolutely right to offer the original experience.

I personally think the commercials are quite cool and they'll look great in the cinema over Christmas.

The message is pretty easy to absorb. Obviously hard to know what kind of impact it has on the average person, but keeps the brand in the collective consciousness I guess.

This is brand marketing. They've always had commercials like this.

It's fine if you guys don't want to play Fortnite but I hope you guys realise it's not cool to "deprive" yourselves of a great game just because it's popular.

@DonkeyFantasy You can definitely have tons of fun with Fortnite without ever spending. And if you do want to spend a small amount, the Battle Passes are usually good and fairly affordable.

@Balie3000 I think whatever way you slice it, we should be getting more than one PS Plus Premium game per month!

Two or three feels about right for the service given the sheer amount of content they could realistically add.

I understand the PS Store is flooded with content in general, but people are paying for PS Plus Premium so they can do better.

These are seminal arcade shmups; very few surprises if you're familiar with the genre.

Hard to say whether this collection would be for you. If you're open to trying these style of games, then these are good ones to give a go.

@DennisReynolds I know it's focusing on the early era and that's fantastic, but I do hope those PS2 era titles get added eventually, perhaps as DLC.

@Truegamer79 There’s lots of little thoughtful tweaks like that which don’t change the games but just make them a bit more enjoyable.

The loading improvements in MK Trilogy also make a nice difference.

It's more pie in the sky magic math from Microsoft in my opinion.

Removing the online paywall does make sense if they're basically releasing a PC, but it cuts massively into their business model.

Pair that with the fact they're seemingly going to allow you to bypass their storefront and purchase games from wherever you like, and the only option is for them to flog the hardware at a significant profit.

This reads like a controlled leak to counter recent negativity, by the way.

@Dan12836666 I think Avowed will come next year personally. Not sure about South of Midnight, they may not think it's worth the cost of porting it.

(And as we can see from this story, absolutely everything they do know is about hitting that 30% profit margin.)

@trev666 They're a multiformat publisher. We'd be writing exactly the same story if this was EA, Take-Two, SEGA, or any of the other major companies.
