@somnambulance That's great, thanks!

@DVS #Ad

@awp69 Thanks for your feedback. I'd object to the wording "clickbait" because that implies we mislead readers; I don't think we do.

As you yourself said, Xbox is entangled with PlayStation now (do we not report on the potential closure of Compulsion Games, a studio which has shipped three games, all on PlayStation?)

I think what you're referring to in your comment is tone, so I take that feedback on board. Certainly my language has been strong at times, and I own that.

I would say that I'm generally just as strong on PlayStation as well, though. In fact, just as many people say I'm a PS5 hater as say I'm a PS5 fanboy.

I'd maintain that a lot of the Xbox news is absolutely relevant considering Microsoft's business decisions, and it's going to be a talking point for a long time to come.

But I take your feedback on tone on board.

@wildcat_kickz Makes sense, I totally get what you're saying!

@Johnnycide Thank you!

@ztpayne7 @wildcat_kickz Thank you for the positive feedback.

I definitely hear what you're saying, but the way I see it, we could just republish press releases and call it a day. But you could get that content anywhere really; AI could definitely do all that for you.

I think delivering the news and adding some context/flavour to it is our USP.

It's worth noting that adding value to articles doesn't always have to be opinion-led; it could be us using our knowledge to explain why we think a rumour is believable or not.

But I agree with you, it needs to be clear what is fact and what is speculation/context/opinion.

@Metonymy Thanks!

@Max_the_German True! Like I said in the article, though, I think broadly people are drawn to people not publications now.

@Leetware1 Actually, I'm really happy you said that! We won't always be quickest or first with news, so the fact you come here to see what we/others think about stuff is very much the point.

I'm really happy to hear that!

@Questionable_Duck Thank you!

@PsBoxSwitchOwner Please do screenshot and report any invasive ads using the Contact form. I personally think our site is very usable, but I know bad ones can slip through, and it's helpful to know about them so we can get them removed.

@nomither6 Thank you!

@Strafe @Fluberuper Agreed!

@AdamNovice Yes.

@Haruki_NLI Fair feedback! Definitely doing the different headings to break up bigger articles was something I personally experimented with for a bit.

I think it can be a useful way to present a lot of information, but I hear you. I don't think there's been many articles like that, though. Maybe a handful.

It's not really something I think we'd be looking to do unless it really made sense to break up a lot of information.

@Sammy_G Sorry, I need to recycle a good picture!

@Nei Thank you, they're yummy!

@Bob_Tempura You're joking but it's definitely a factor. That K-pop article I mentioned really did hammer home to me that this was getting a bit silly now.

@IntrepidWombat Genuinely another issue for us! (But a fun one!) Obviously I think the British-ness is part of the site's character, but we have to make sure everyone understands what we mean/our sense of humour.

Don't always get it right, but it's a good challenge.

@Boucho11 There isn't but I think finding a way to reach people who may be doing other things (gym, driving, running) is something we need to think about.

@nessisonett Thank you!

@trev666 Always open to constructive feedback.

@Afroducc Thank you! The shorter snappier paragraphs are for a couple of reasons:

1) Most people read on mobile phones now, and larger paragraphs can quite quickly fill up a full screen. I find it makes things more digestible.

2) I think in this generation of TikTok, YouTube Shorts, a lot of people favour easily digestible information.

I think a lot about how Chat GPT presents information. I think its purposeful how direct and concise it can be.

@wildcat_kickz I think Marathon's biggest issue is that it's just too hardcore. I know it's beloved by the people who actually play it, but it just seems way too difficult and niche for the masses to get on board.

Huge miscalculation IMO, especially with Destiny 2 being laid to rest and Destiny 3 not in development.

@StylesT @Weebleman Xbox, the publisher, announced multiple new games for PS5 during its Showcase on Sunday.

It houses two giant third-party publishers in Activision and Bethesda.

Any changes to its business, be it studio closures, layoffs, or strategy alterations, inherently affects PlayStation and Nintendo as well.

It’s just the way it is.
